We had a look around the inside of Sally B at RAF St Mawgan in 1995 I think it was. There was a que a mile long. Awesome to hear those big ol' radials start up and I was surprised to see how they threw her around the sky. They had a DVD (or video) about the restoration, do you know if you can still buy it?
I love this music, but I'd rather it'd be in the background. Also, the audio for the video is all in the left ear, and I verified that my equalizer is balanced. All in all, though, it was a nice trip back in time when things were a bit slower than they are now. Thanks for the effort.
You are right, for some reason only the one channel has recorded. I can only assume there was a bad connection from the VCR to the computer, when it was transferred. I have since found two other clips the same all edited at the same time.
Hi and thanks for your kind words. You are correct that there is both channels for the music, which was dubbed after. However with the background noise, the left channel is some 10dbs down on the right and this was a mistake on my part, when transferring from the VHS Tapes to digital media.
for memphis belle they removed the chin turret and removed the G model upper turret and put a crappy plastic looking F model replica in its place, why don't they change it back?
sally b was modified for the movie. she was essentially by AAF code standards and manufacturing lists as a B-17G. the Belle is a B-17F and is now still being restored in dayton, ohio.
They sure did remake Sally B for the movie like taking off her chin turret and fully re-decorating the inside of her interesting vid but what was on the plaque u showed???
