Well thats why when you have a city, you have an entire clan to help you run it, that way if ur not on, some of them will be and also you can hire NPC guards too to protect it.

If that is what you would like to do then yes. Its full loot and pvp based. There are going to be guilds in the game that are pirate guilds and everything. there is even naval combat with destroyable ships.

Is it possible to play this game without using your mouse FPS style? I like having both of my hands on the keyboard, even the movement keys. This way I have more action keys at my disposal. It worked fine in games like DAoC, but you never really had to target like a FPS in those games.

But looking at these videos, I don't see how you can target w/o the mouse :-(

Look at EQ2 when it was released. The graphics were superb but the gameplay sucked cause everything was zoned off and monster AI very predictable.

It looks 10x better than WoW as is and there's 8 million supposed ppl playing that little puss carebear game. so far i've been impressed with DF. It reminds me of UO but 3d with a mix of old school eq 1 thrown in.

Melee looks too hectic to have any kind of strategy and it looks fairly boreing. And I know for 100% fact that magic is gonna be a major let down. My bow skill is level 20 and so far u get nothing out of it, not even extra dmg.

My primary melee weapon is the polearm for its range minor knockback and atk power...perfect for hit n run around like n idiot strat. I got a power atk at level 25 but its nearly useless since the dmg bonus (which hits weaker than a normal hit at start) is so minimal it hardly matters.

And I got lvl15 in greatclubs but there is no advantage to wielding a great club atm.

This leak dissapoints me, the ai is horrible, and the clan warfare sucks. I'm grateful for the leak but it discourages me from the game. :-/ The clan warfare had no strategy, and thats what i found was going to be the best part of DF

the AI is better than other MMORPGs, at least mob ai is. The problem with darkfall right now is that its all about exploiting. There are so many ways to grief people and steal their stuff its not even funny, which is why i wont be playing it when its released.
