Dear hairstilist. The song comes for me alive when Barbara starts. We agree. But in the last years Celine has gotten her emotions under control and puts them to use. ch better. My slight dislike for Celine became admiration. Not yet here though I would wish to be able to sing half as well. There is only one Barbara. Singing is not all about octaves. There, Celine is hard to match and she almost never goeds wrong. But Barbara has something special, although I think Celine inspired her. Agreed?

But I now know that in other songs I was biased against Celine. Great singer, lacked feeling (in my opinion). Well. I lacked facts and I saw how nice she was in Diva's. The bias is gone, my appreciation has shifted. Unreasonable, but the subconscious is a strange beast.

@hairstylistirene. I never had this class. The song works thanks to Streisand, who lets in emotion. Celine even then got the better voice. There is one painful moment where Barbra wants to match Celine. She realizes that it can't be done (and knows her input makes the song, still she felt outclassed - her words). Celine had private reasons to avoid emotion. She has overcome that problem, time heals somewhat and I don't think there is a better singer. I'm no fan but listen to her new songs.
