Looks very convincing;CGI?, or did someone really haul out a Sokol class torpedo boat destroyer? This scene has some truth to it - Kolchak managed to lay mines before ships in another war, on another ocean. My main concern is for the 'German' cruiser command... Your heavily out-gunned enemy is dead in the water, your coastal water, at only a few thousand yards (what's he been doing?) - so you run at him? But, it is a pretty neat scene and very well filmed.

The German cruiser Karl Friedrich actually sunk back in novermber 1914 over several hours after multiple contacts with mines layed by Russian destroyers. Majority of the crew survived and were picked up by another German vessel - Augsburg. Admiral Kolchak had nothing whatsoever to do with this incident.

In short it's obvious that the film was staged by illiterate amateurs. Фильм явно был поставлен дилетантами.

Фильм говно полнейшее! Единственный морской бой в котором учавствовал Калчаг был настолько курьезным что ой-ей-ей! Судно торговое утопить пытались дыг в нем бочки пустые были и оно никак не хотело тонуть ))) Калчак так разозлился что приказал не подберать людей! А броненосец этот учебный затонул не подалеку от города где я живу но до берега было не далеко так что команда почти вся уцелела. На нем курсанты были.

i don't know what it is about russian (and european0 film makers but in general they seem to make a film an art form rather than a money making expedition for the producers! its a shame there's no english subtitles - can't wait to find a version thats in english!
