Love New England. I had a chance to meet Paul Stanley in '82. I asked him what ever happened with New England. He said he didn't know what I was talking about. Kind of being a prick about it.
Kinda does doesn't it?! Why those two bands became huge and this one didn't is still a mystery. Think they would have created some incredible music if they had gotten more popular and made more albums.
Well another great discover for me...Also love the drums. So many albums to buy because of your great job ! you should get money from the artists ! lol
You were talking about Space Oddity...Love it...don't you want to work on it or on Life on Mars ? ;-)
I'm so happy you found this song, my friend! It does have great production....and drums! I'm seriously wanting to finish another Bowie tune (one already underway) and love your suggestions!!!!
....and.....still waiting on those record companies to send me my first check?! LOL!
The one I`d love to see most is No Place To Go....amazing song. Although, virtually all of Explorer Suite is amazing. The lost album of the eighties...except for we few!!
I've got a couple others in the pipe from Explorer Suite, but haven't yet started on No Place To Go.....but it sure seems to be the favorite of many from this awesome album. I agree, this album is a lost masterpiece! Every song from first to last is outstanding melodic AOR rock.....thanks for commenting.....watch for more videos from Explores Suite soon!
killer video for a great song ! u did it justice , ha [ and that`s saying a lot ] google -akashamans kosmos , new england- to check out their full lengths !
AKA! Man, you have an exxxxxcellent blog! I was over there a few months ago on the hunt, and somehow someway, i got lost in the shuffle and haven't been back! Stopped over just now and remembered how absolutely great this site is. I see some new really cool things over there!
Well, I'm really glad that you stopped by to comment on the vid (thanks!) so I could be reminded of Akashamans Kosmos....you won't have to remind me again. I really appreciate hearing from you. Rock on!
Thank you for producing this video. I listened to this song on cassette while camping in Haleakala crater on Maui is 1983 under the brightest stars I've ever seen.
Hirsh is a friend of mine. May I give him this link if he's unaware of it?
John Fannon is scheduled to play in MA in August. I have no idea where you are, but message me for details: mousepumper@yoahoo.com.
Wow.....that's a great memory to have for listening to Explorer Suite! I would of course be honored if you got the link to Hirsh.
As I was replying to this comment, I searched out the video from a year or so ago of the band playing "Alone Tonight" (as I wanted to get a date of the video to mention in this reply) and quickly realized two things: 1. that video was uploaded by Hirsh and 2.) I hadn't subscribed!
I wanted to mention the "Alone Tonight" performance because the...
....band's performance was awesome! They looked and sounded great! There is obviously some interest in the entire performance being released on DVD. I would love to see the whole show...I guess they played more than just the one song, but can't really find much information. Maybe you can get more info from Hirsh....while you're at it, get him to put the band back together and record a new album! LOL! :-) A great, great band.
I do already have a few elements for "Conversation" ready to go for a video! Hopefully in a few weeks it'll be ready. Thanks for watching and the request for more New England......always a pleasure to do videos for this band!
And here I thought your video for "Don't Ever Want To Lose Ya" was great... I believe you have another winner here. Fantastic work, for another great song
Thank you! It means alot when someone takes the time to offer up a few kind words of support and appreciation for the effort!
It's great to hear from old fans of New England and I hope some new fans for this incredible music are created when some people not previously familiar with this artist come across the videos.
This band deserved so much better and I want to contribute my small part to recognize and respect their work. Thanks so much again!
Powerman, would love to have the all the lyrics to these albums! Haven't seen 'em since I sold all my vinyl many years ago. I''m working on videos for a few tracks from Explorer Suite (below) and they would come in very handy as I'm already having a hard time with some lines.
No, your english and comments are fine, the problem is me not following them correctly! LOL! I do know the song "Hope" from the album and like it very much. I have already started rough work on three other tracks from the album ("Seal It With A Kiss", "Hey You're On The Run", and "Seal It With A Kiss")......I guess I'll add "Hope" and the few other remaining tracks and make Explorer Suite my first full video album!?!? My work is cut out for me! Keep watching!
Ok my friend.....I THINK I've got them as you've been telling me....check 'em again and see if we're correct. A huge thank you again for getting the lyrics to Explorer Suite correct.
Wow....you don't know how hard I tried to hear that missing word "heroine"!? Just could not make it out...thanks so much for helping me complete the lyrics to this song. I don't believe that the full lyrics are posted anywhere on the internet so I'm hoping we can get them completed.
Of the two pieces I was missing, only the first remains since you got the second one completed...can you make out whats missing from the first section?
I have NEW ENGLAND's album "Explorer Suite", and there are all lyrics in the booklet. so I can fill it for you. lyrics is here. 1st verse: Hey there out near Saturn's Skies, Your call is over due You're so far away, Will I ever get this through Hey now you've been gone so long, Our carpets have worn through But we're still hanging on, Is my message gettin to you?
Awesome!!! Somehow I missed your first comment and asked for the first section.....which you have posted here. Thank you so much! I had listened to this section countless times and could never make out the "Our carpets have worn through".
Thanks again for finishing the lyrics! Do they look complete and correct as now posted?....any other errors? Please let me know.
Excellent job on the video! Incredible song, the mellotron in this is just over the top mellotron strings and 8 voice choir give it that great atmosphere.
Thanks for the kind words! The song is extraordinarily produced and the mellotron does sound awesome within it all. I was blown away the first time I heard it...and each subsequent time i listen to it now! Thanks again for watching and commenting.
I'm so glad you found a new (old!) song to like....and that you enjoyed the vid! Thanks so much for your positive comment...and really appreciate you selecting the video as a favorite.

hi, now I found one errors on your lyrics. on chorus part.
where can you be? why do you keep on exploring?
- if you could hear me, if you could see me,
- I'm just floating
don't you know? you've got so much glory
- I've gone too far, there's no return
- I'm so lonely, I'm just floating.
I think this part is composed like conversation between father and son. and father says "I've gone too far".

2nd verse:
Daddy O you've been a hero so long, /
travelling the universe, /
we're so proud of you / but we wish you were here on earth /
Mama can't control herself / she weeps cause she's concerned /
she's a heroine / when will you ever return?
