Fedor might not be very technical but he's so explosive with his submissions there is no way to train against how to prevent them you can only prepare for how to escape them. As for Nog he's the opposite you have to train how to prevent them cause if he gets it locked in he's one of the very few that starts throwing more than one submission at a time. Triangle choke transferred into an armbar against Coleman a perfect examle of this.
I'll agree with you up until you said that Frank got lucky in his first fight. There's no such thing as luck. When you're green and you fight a guy as well versed in BJJ as Mir, you're likely to run into a situation like the one Lesnar ran into. Luck has nothing to do with it; you're talking about chance, and chance is obviously subject to change.
Mir is 1 of my favorite MMA Fighters. He did lose to Brock.However he is still the only fighter to beat Brock and like most of my fav fighters when they lose they comeback stronger than ever. When they fight again Frank will dominate.

Dana may come off as an asshole or a douche but he is a great businessman and motivator for his fighters. The UFC is the biggest company in organized fighting history. Dana and UFC give people opportunities and possibilities. Who knows where Kimbo could be without MMA and UFC...dead, in prison. Rampage would be in the pin for sure and many fighters would have never ventured from their home countries without UFC. UFC and Dana are good for fighting, who cares about character, its about results.

Fedor might not be very technical but he's so explosive with his submissions there is no way to train against how to prevent them you can only prepare for how to escape them. As for Nog he's the opposite you have to train how to prevent them cause if he gets it locked in he's one of the very few that starts throwing more than one submission at a time. Triangle choke transferred into an armbar against Coleman a perfect examle of this.

I'll agree with you up until you said that Frank got lucky in his first fight. There's no such thing as luck. When you're green and you fight a guy as well versed in BJJ as Mir, you're likely to run into a situation like the one Lesnar ran into. Dana may come off as an asshole or a douche but he is a great businessman and motivator for his fighters. The UFC is the biggest company in organized fighting history. Dana and UFC give people opportunities and possibilities. Who knows where Kimbo could be without MMA and UFC...dead, in prison. Rampage would be in the pin for sure and many fighters would have never ventured from their home countries without UFC. UFC and Dana are good for fighting, who cares about character, its about results.

So who cares if he has a better stand-up fighter? It's so not the point. It wasn't a "mistake" it was a failure. It's not like a slipped and Lesner jumped on.
