lamb of god can't be compared with August Burns Red. Why?
Firstly, cuz Lamb of God is a groove metal -aka post-thrash metal- band and August Burns Red aren't.
Secondly, if you want to compare them instruments and the vocals, I would say, the guitar riffs of August Burns Red are way better. Drummers? Well, Chris Adler is a sick ass drummer. That might just be it.

@Goonsacks no offense but I get recommended so many hardcore and metalcore bands that I am just bored of that scene. I love metal, and think that when a genre has too many bands, like hardcore/metalcore it becomes stale. There are so many styles that I cant be bothered to listen to other bands play the same style as some of my favourites only not as well. That is my humble opinion. I will however check out The Constellations album :)
@skanka4646 I sort of agree like nirvana was great but pretty much any modern grunge band is terrible, and look at green day they used to sort of be a punk band but now they are just crap. Although I still like metal I think it is still alive because it is growing and changing so much over the years. Maybe it will die soon though because alot of the popular bands like job for a cowboy, scary kids and such are all exactly the same to me.

Oh dear, you have no idea what you are saying. Anyway, math rock, or math metal, whatever people call it, is another subgenre of metal, which is made unique because of the high level of technical ability needed to play consistently changing time signatures at high speed. August burns red has some math rock elements. But there are other bands who do it. Real math rock bands ;) this band is awesome, don't get me wrong :D

I wasn't trying to come off as a "metal connoisseur". But in case you haven't noticed, there are genres of music. Math rock is one of them, and I was merely pointing out its existence. There's more than enough proof throughout youtube. Or the internet, for that matter.

I said you were better than some poeple? I don't recall that. I have a beef with useless classification of music , it's unnecessary and it bogs down the point of music: to be enjoyed. Besides, even if you weren't talking to me, why would you have responded when I talked to you in the first place, you could've just as easily ignored me, so why even make the point?

By the way, if you become a musician, or when you begin to listen to music more carefully, try and appreciate the differences between genres and the different styles within genres. Useless classification of music. What a stupid thing to say. What about the difference between rap and hip hop and rock, for that matter? Or the differences between punk, ska, metal, and grunge? Math rock exists. Grow up, get smart.

If I become a Musician? I AM a musician, and even if I wasn't, how could you judge how much I appreciate music, let alone whether or not I'm a musician?

You're completely right, actually. I am a musician as well, and distinguishing different genres of music is in fact, a very significant factor with music - however, it would take much too long to explain, and surely my fellow metal fans would understand. Rock and metal are easily better than rap and pop.
