Thank you for this video!!! I´ll start my trainning as a doula soon but I don´t know where ( DONA, CAPPA, CBI) yet. I`ve been looking to the CBI web and it looks very good!
Thank you so much! This video was very informative and I send you my condolences. I plan on doing the doula seminar sometime this year. To appease my mother I will also go to college but I will do a child development major. I think that will actually help me and I'll check out pregnancy and birthing books & movies from my school library.
Mandee this was awesome! Thanks so much! :) I actually chose to do the weekend workshop - mine is coming up in mid Feb! I'm going to drive there and back home each day so I can still be with my nursling at night, it will be a long weekend for sure! I am super excited about it, though. I didn't know about the distance learning, but I feel like I have read and studied just about everything birth related, it's the hands on stuff I really need. Your babe looks just like Momma, sooo adorable! :)
Thank you so much for doing this video! After having a natural birth with the assistance of my husband and wonderful doula, I knew that I wanted to become a doula as well. However, I had no idea that distance learning was an option. I have a 4 1/2 month old son and figured the workshops wouldn't be possible with nursing but now that I know about this route I'm so excited!
I plan on doing it the way you did it, because I learn the same way!! Go us! :p You know what I never even thought about the money part of the job, I just want to attend births and give support. :) I've already read two of the books on the list so I guess that's a start.
