Cleve Jones was also Harvey Milk's friend and co-activist during the gay rights struggle in the 70's. In the Milk-movie starring Sean Penn Cleve Jones is played by Emile Hirsch (the cute boy with curly hair and big glasses). Cleve Jones is a living legend, a true human rights fighter and a hero. Had he been English he would have received a knighthood years ago.

First identified and labeled as HTLV III, human T-cell lymphoma virus, AIDS was also characterized by being a gay, Haitian and IV drug abuser disease.

President Reagan took years to recognize this epidemic and it was his own son, Ron Jr., who had to make the President aware. Too little, too late.

Thirty years later and ignorance and misinformation are still some of the biggest fights not yet won.
