Other way around, it was Bill Gates who left Apple to die as he went on to make Windows, although he did eventually save them from the fate he had most likely contributed to. Then Steve Jobs came back and started this ad campaign, which I suspect only went somewhere due to Windows being built on an NT core rather then Unix, as well as Apple's pre-popularity with the iPod that gave them such a "devoted" fanbase.

People are saying windows is better, but i doubt everyone has a mac and a windows and knows how to use both. To me, it seems like macs have more features and are more complicated than windows. But windows are easier and more basic. So it depends if you want a computer with more features, or a simpler computer. I choose macs because they dont COPY from the other type of computer (vistas gagets=osx's widgets, vista's 3d thing that shows all windows open=the same thing on osx, etc.)

Then run Parrallels (Which is NOT an emulator, it's a native virtual machine) or Boot Camp (Which is also NOT an emulator, it's a dual booting solution)

With Boot Camp, I run 3D Studio Max in XP, no problem.

BTW, there are no "PC Emulators" on the Mac anymore. Everything is either a virtual machine, compatibility layer or Native Boot solution via firmware upgrade.
