  • Why didn't Wilma, Betty, Pebles, Bam Bam and Hoppy appear in any of these Pebbles cereal commerical in the 1980s?

  • How did Post get the permission from Hanna-Barbera to use their most famous and beloved cartoon characters to plug their cereal.

  • @67nairb Fruity Pebbles and Cocoa Pebbles are actually based on the Flintstones. They're promotional cereals that outlived the TV show they promoted. The entire Pebbles brand was designed around the Flintstones, so there wouldn't be a Fruity or Cocoa Pebbles without them.

  • @woodchucker23 But didn't Post need Hanna-Barbera's approval to use Fred and Barney plug their cereal?

  • Ever since Henry Corden's death in 2005, the Post Pebbles cereal commercials have virtually ceased being on tv? Who other than Corden and Alan Reed have provided the voice of Fred Flintstone?

  • @InuzukasBestPal That's right Pebbles cereal can't be all that expensive.

  • "Part of this nutritious breakfast" So I'd have to eat that basket of bran muffins and fruit too? What about the stick of butter?

  • I never had fruity pebbles. Mourn for my lost childhood.

  • now with more seizures lol

  • They also have Lime Green in Trix.

  • my favorite cereal <3

  • i would love a glass cereal rock like bowl =p

  • Why won't Fred share his Pebbles cereal with Barney?

  • cause he only has that one bowl full a day and if he's luckey there will be enough for the next day

  • @yinyangdragonx You would've after all these years Fred would be wise to all of Barney's tricks in stealing his Pebbles.

  • well you gotta take into account all the times Fred's been knocked on the head too

  • @yinyangdragonx He has amnesia. That would've made a dandy of a FLINTSTONES episode when either Fred or Barney got knocked on the head so hard they got amnesia.

  • well they sorta did that in Harvey Birbman Attorney at Law (an adult swim show that was 15 mins long pretty good if i say so had alot of famous TV show charecters in it) and Fred thought he was a mob boss and at the end they wacked him on his head with a club untill he remembered who he really was

  • @yinyangdragonx In 1990 a Jetson's cereal briefly came out on the market the same year that THE JETSON'S MOVIE was released in theaters. Remember that?

  • @67nairb Jetson's cereal obviously did not have the success that Post Pebbles cereal has had over the decades.

  • sadly that was 2 years befor i was born and this is the first i heard of it while the movie on the other hand i did see but i vaguly remember hardly any of it

  • @yinyangdragonx THE JETSON'S itself never had the enourmous success that THE FLINTSTONES had. THE FLINTSTONES ran on tv for six seasons, 1960-1966 and had many spin-offs over the decades. THE JETSONS only had a one season run, 1962-1963. But it did make a big comeback in the mid 80s with 67 all new episodes.

  • they were both great in their own right and theres 1 episode, movie, special, whatever between the two i well never forget and that was their crossover with each other.

  • @yinyangdragonx Which cartoon THE FLINTSTONES or THE JETSONS?

  • their crossover The Jetsons meet the Flinstones

  • @yinyangdragonx Sorry. There was also a JETSON'S tv movie called ROCKIN WITH JUDY JETSON as well as JETSONS THE MOVIE in theaters.

  • @yinyangdragonx Did Yogi Bear and Scooby Doo ever have their own cereal brand?

  • I don't know maybe i would deffinetly have to check

  • @yinyangdragonx Thanks.

  • do they still make these?!?!?

  • yosemite sam;bugs daffy my o's

  • Wow i thought there was always a green...Never Knew That. ? Well I love fruity pebbles....Its sooo good!! Thanx for the upload!! Merci! Thanx! Gracias!

  • Clark Kent.

  • See now I love fruity pebbles! I don't really love Cocoa Pebbles! YUCK!

  • LOL i always wanted 2 kick barneys ass in these commercials. he is an annoying little prick XD

  • joerdss

    feer

    dderwrf

  • Alligators attack Barney!

  • The 1980's.... America's obsession with Australia and Ninjas...

  • 2000's...America's obsession with japan and cyborgs

  • Barney was like the cheapest bastard! Man scrape together some change and go buy your own cereal. Why are you always trying to thieve from your best friend. And what is with Fred? Barney is supposed to be like his best friend. Give your hungry friend a bowl of cereal you stingy bastard!

  • That totally sums up everything ive always felt about these commercials. Nothing more needs to be said on the subject...ever!

  • I love the old stuff

  • So...Lime Green used to be an exotic flavor back then?

  • Why hasnt any one commented such a classic?
