  • Ahhhh

  • lovely song

  • Brenda is the most sincere.

  • The best version of this song is by the unbeatable Barbra Streisand. No one can top her! She's the best!!

  • Brenda's version tops them all!!!

  • Saw her in Nashville some years ago and she has lost nothing. No.1 in my book.

  • I think Dusty Springfield aced everybody else who recorded this song, but Brenda Lee comes in at very close second.

  • @GaryFTaylor

I am just astounded that anyone would prefer either the Dusty Springfield or Kitty Kallen version to this. Those two versions suffer because the singers don't have as strong or even a voice as Brenda. Further, the hopelessness in Brenda's voice is palpable. Get a grip.

  • @GaryFTaylor agreed, dusty beats them all :)

  • I LIKE all of Brenda Lee's songs!!

  • Can't beat an Owen Bradley production when it comes to songs like this! Thanks for sharing!

  • Treasured and cherished.........

  • Dusty version is best by far.

  • Best version!!!!

  • Hey ChristopherSyn1, there are many versions of this song but in my opinion Brenda's is the best. You can feel the pain in her voice just like all of her other love ballads. Thank you for posting it, I've added it to my romance channel that I hope you will come to visit and it will inspire you, Jimmy
