  • Bachmann/Rice 2012!

  • PALIN / JINDAL

    LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

You HAVE to be kidding me... That is hysterical.

    Suggestion to the Republicans:

Start slowly. First decide who your party leader is, then maybe you can work on viable political candidates for President.

    --Mathew

  • Mrs. Clinton, you've been spanked at the polls. Your words are of no relevance to our liberty loving nation, go back to your husband's mansion in your adopted state of New York. PALIN/JINDAL 20012!

  • It was just like Vietnam. The Democrats also supported that war as a result of being terrified of being labeled soft on terror.

  • lmao

  • And, he hasn't learned a GD thing because she hasn't taught them anything, because she is a substitute and she doesn't really care all that much. Education isn't a liberal or conservative issue, the Republicans need to step up to the plate and show some concern. If not, the way I see it, you guys are gonna be shut out of government for 20 years, just like the Tories (conservatives) of England were after Margaret Thatcher left, until people start forgetting. London just got a Tory Mayor, finally.

  • Meanwhile, we're 9 trillion in debt, over 4,000 soldiers are dead (double 9/11), and my little cousin doesn't have a math book because our state doesn't have "the funds." Well we need a President that is going to step in with some GD moral authority that many of you people are lacking (certainly your Republican party, the majority seem to be lacking as well). Let me guess, public schools are socialism? He has had a fuckin substitute for almost the whole year now, because they are cheaper to pay.

  • I'm a Democrat and I supported the War because I was lied to, actually I was a kid in high school, but I still supported it. I thought part of the reason we were going there was because of 9/11, the horrific attack on the United States that left a permanent scar in my mind. That wasn't the case. George Bush had this in mind before the way to get there landed in his lap. He got us good. Hillary is just upset like me, George Bush told me that we'd be in-and-out, well we ain't and I'm MAD. WHEN???

  • We were told by George W. that they had weapons of mass destruction. BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY and personally I'm glad Saddam is gone. The war has been poorly managed by the Bush administration.

  • Of course Obama says he was always against the war now-but he did not have to vote-he was not even a senator at that time! Since joining the senate, they have voted alike on every vote!

  • Hey 62-did you see the news today? Bill tried to re-spin the Bosnia story and screwed up all the "details" The AP says Hillary told him to shut up & he just said "Yes, Ma'am" She who wears the pantsuits while throwing lamps & dishes. Yuk.

  • If she told me the sky was blue, I'd go outside and check. It is time for the Clintons to go away.

  • I would not even check if Hillary said the sky was blue. I would be already sure that it was raining outside...

  • Hillary vote for the war. It wasn't a mistake she just voted yes. Hillary isn't going to be the next president.

  • .........YOU CAN NOT CHANGE THE PAST.........

Hillary made a mistake in 2002, she will work hard in 2009 to make up for that. She disagrees with the war now, she wants OUT ASAP! NO ONE knew how long or what damage this war would bring, and at that time with the evidence given and Saddams history I can see how a mistake was made. You can't change it now, you can only work towards the future. Which she is doing, with a very smart, strong and compassionate stance, to heal and rebuild our country.

  • All things to be questioned by her at this point. The Bosnia tall tale did it for me.

    Vote Consciously!

  • she's a bitch heh

  • we talk to Professor Joseph Stiglitz. He is a Columbia University professor and a Nobel Prize winner in economics who has co-written a book tallying up the true cost of the Iraq War to US taxpayers and the US economy. The book titled the Three Trillion Dollar War explains how the 5 year old war was expected to cost US$50 billion and has instead ended up costing at least US$3 trillion.

  • lying cow

  • Hillary Clinton made a mistake putting the awesome responsibility of not going to war into president Bush's hands. She authorized the use of force to a president eager to use it no matter what. Either because of lack of judgment or simple political convenience, she failed. Quite ironic, now she is trying to put down one of the few public servants, Obama, with the judgment and moral stands to oppose Bush's war since 2002.

  • except in 2004 she said "I have no difference with Bush stance in the war." He said it on meet the press.

  • What is interesting is that most people and i mean most people where for the war in Iraq when it first happened, so before everyone starts pointing fingers i would say take a good hard look people. Politics is never going to be clean and if you think Obama a godsend he too has done things I'm sure he wasn't proud of. Look to the issues of where they stand and that should make up your mind. Hillary or Obama either to me would be better then what we have now. Thanks and keep voting!

  • Enigmas2u,

Hillary, or Obama would be better thatn what we have! Are you an Einstein or something? Anyone can tell the difference between dog shit and horse shit! Please when are you You Tubers going to wake up. Stop listening to the platitudes coming from these Jackasses. Look were their money is coming from. Look at their history. They are all CFR members. The difference between Democrats and Republicans is an illusion. They are all owned by big money.

  • I WAS ALWAYS AGAINST IT. I knew that it was a ploy to line the pockets of the Bushes and Cheney (sp?) But I remember the Gulf War part 1... the phantom menace...

  • Be honest. Did you REALLY know it was a ploy or did you just feel it wasn't right?

I studied the information presented in the UN speech given by Colin Powell and found it odd that a lot of the things he presented seemed out of the blue, but I never suspected they were complete fabrications.

  • If you bothered to READ world press, listen to Blix and other non-us (or hell, Scott Ritter before they smeared him) YOU too would have known it was BS, and SO DID HILLARY- she did what was politically expedient, caving to the fear of how she would be painted by a gung ho press if she refused. OBAMA had the guts to say NO....thats enough for me.

  • You are assuming that I did not read the press of other countries. (a common mistake). No one was even really discussing the notion prior to the UN report and Germany had just uncovered a plot by Iraq to setup a nuclear program just a few months prior to the report.

  • If we get Hillary vs McCain in November, it will be an AIPAC wet dream, and more wars. She is a Republican with a phony "Liberal" front.

  • Wow you just helped me make a decision I will vote for Hillary for sure. She has told the truth with every turn, I didn't know that your footage shows her say "this is not a vote to rush to war" she did in deed vote to use diplomacy first. Wow who knew thanks for the heads up.

  • George Bush used the evil alcohol, Saddam Hussein is a smoker.

  • "Desperate To Win"

Due to her strategy of using old fashion politics, is what did Hillary in. Mud slinging and lying, plus Baracka Obama, not stooping to her level, when he had a chance. He just kept, on the path of honesty, like his campaign ran. Even though, they tried to belittler and destroy, this man.

  • OMG you are so in the dark with Barack. Honesty? Read up on rezko, naftagate, exelon, Michelle Obama and treehouse, lobbyist money, a racist pastor who he knew for 20 years on his religious asdvisory board, it goes on and on. He is just good at fooling people. As the media looks closer into his past, you will see the truth.

  • Tell me supportinghillary - WHO DIED in rezko (nafta gate is a lie - read much?) treehouse etc. WHO DIED!!?!?!??!?! We're not talking about buying a house from someone who has a civil suit against them we're TALKING ABOUT SENDING OUR PEOPLE TO WAR TO KILL OR BE KILLED!!!!!

  • She took Obama for a joke and lost the presidential race. Then in Texas and Ohio, she tried to make up, for her mistake. By causing an uproar, for them to have a democratic debate. But the public, vision of her, she couldn't erase.

Most voters, seen her as a female liberal, using her gender and her husband's last name. Also using dirty tactics, in her campaign

  • According to page 294 of Obama's Audacity of Hope, "Like most analysts, I assumed that Saddam had chemical and biological weapons and coveted nuclear arms."

During a July 2004 interview on Meet the Press when asked how he would have voted on the Iraq resolution, Obama answered "I don't know...There's not much of a difference between my position on Iraq and George Bush's position at this stage."

  • That isn't quite right! We were lied to. But Hillary was on the Foreign Intelligence committee and, as such, got a copy of the full intelligence report that did raise doubts about a number of Bush's supposed "facts" - e.g. the aluminum tubes (google it). Hillary never read the whole report!! Some of her fellow committee members did, and voted NO. Why didn't she read the report, listen to their reservations? Why didn't she see what was in the press, that I, a lowly citizen, was able to see?

  • Because she has "experience", you lowly peon - can't you see a queen in the making - yay, Hillary! - more dead bodies! makes me feel so secure when the phone rings at 3 AM - and where is your child - dead dead dead! Thanx, Clinton!

    Vote Obama for real change.

  • That isn't quite right! We were lied to. • Even in this well cut POS excerpt, you can still tell that she is basing her decision in 2002 on the intelligence reports that we would all later find out were falsified. I wont vote for her but I would never cheaten how hard it was to make that decision. We were all lied to to go into this war and those that created the lie will never pay for it.

  • It usually helps if you actually READ WHAT IS GIVEN TO YOU. If our reps would have at least READ THE DOGGONE THING, i'd have more sympathy, but they didn't. they should have stood up and said NO WE NEED TIME TO READ THIS THING that magically appeared 5 inches thick within 48 hours. the white house hasn't been able to do anything as fast before or since.

  • so she thinks is ok destabilize Iraq and all of Afghanistan and other places, about new machine troops to Iraq, (kurdistanpkk

  • so she thinks is ok destabilize Iraq and all of Afghanistan and other places, about new machine troops to Iraq, (kurdistan)

    pkk

  • WARNING!! Don't believe everything you see. Only fools will follow the crowd. Cut and Paste video by a REPUBLICAN.

  • she is full of bullshit

  • there is no excuse for voting for this war. it was wrong in 2002 and is wrong in 2008. she and mccain are thereby disqualified.

  • I'm a huge Obama supporter, but I can't fault Clinton for this one. In 2002, she made her decision using BS reports from the Bush administration. Now she knows that we were lied to and wants to change... I can't fault her for that.

    Obama 08'!

  • I support Obama as well. I have to disagree with you on this one. A leader reads the intelligence reports and makes their own decisions. She did neither. The most important 90 page report went unread. To believe the word of Bush, who has PROVEN himself to be a liar, is irresponsible.

  • I see what you're saying, but if people handed me reports saying Saddam was developing biological agents and testing them on his own population, and trying to develop nuclear weapons, then I would probably vote to invade as well. Bush didn't write the incorrect reports about Iraq, the CIA and other government agencies did.

  • compelling argument IF she had even BOTHERED to read the intelligence report. By her own admission she did not. Furthermore regardless of the report, she did not demand an exit strategy or insist on the correct level of troops to do the job correctly in the first place. She still hasn't said where her information came from or what it was or who she was talking to at the time. As a leader these are things you HAVE to consider before voting blindly.

  • OBAMAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • obama 08

  • You don't see her crying for our falling soilder's

  • A republican in democrats clothing

  • Now that we have homeless veterans and fatherless kids, she recants.

  • I have seen the light when it comes to the Clintons and i won't go back into the darkness.

She will say and do anything to get elected. It's all about them, not about America.

  • We need tv monitors outside her events playing this stuff. I think alot more people would come vote for Obama if they new hilary was a total liar. Thats she is hopeing people are ignorant enough and will believe she didnt know what the vote to authorize war really was. Im sure she can read after all right>?

  • GO OBAMMA!! WOMEN FOR OBAMMA!!!

  • Hillary's campaign is the biggest fairy tale I have ever seen.

Four years of Hillary is just four years of Bush lying, deception and distortion, just with a liberal bent.

Vote for change. Vote for Obama.

  • i an woman watch me roar unless i cry and big bill defends me.

i am fro the war, im against the war

    i am a democrat no i'm DLC GOP-Lite..

friendship and constant contact with bushes means nothing.

how much did we profit on investment in the war its personal whaaaaaaaaaaa .

  • "Time to change course"...you are 100% right hillary and that means you need to leave!

YES FOR OBAMA! YES FOR CHANGE!!!

THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE hillary disarm or be disarmed!!!

  • Liar & A bitch!

  • She has always lied, this is not new folks!

  • The best I have seen! keep it up!

  • Hillary Clinton - Liar of the Century

  • Wow! What a lying bitch! She was just as adamant if not more than Bush to go to war in Iraq, [regardless of whether u think it's right or not,] she now says she wouldn't have gone to war if she was pres?????????????????????????? What IDIOTS believe her???

  • i wanna squeeze hillary's titties

  • hillary is a damn flip flopper of the worst sort. I wish th democrats would get rid of her.

Now she sys that she voted for the war but was against it. Hmmm. She sounds like Kerry 2004. I voted for it before i voted against it.

    Hillary SUCKS!

  • Oh, and the "stupid" part, extremely mature. It really helps your case by making you seem like a big boy or girl now. You finally moved passed "doo-doo head"!

  • All this shows, which we already know, is that many members of Congress were fed false intelligent reports to gain support for Bush's war. Congress did the best they could with what they had.

July of ..04, Barack Obama, "I'm not privy to Senate intelligence reports. What would I have done? I don't know," in terms of how you would have voted on the war. And then this: "There's not much of a difference between my position on Iraq and George Bush's position at this stage."

    Do your homework people!

  • NOOO, do YOUR homework stupid. Remember the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998?? The bill that Bill Clinton signed into law on October 31st? Section 3 states: " It should be the policy of the United States to support efforts to remove the regime headed by Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq and to promote the emergence of a democratic government to replace that regime." Pelosi, Kennedy and Kerry voted for the bill. OOOOPS!!!

  • The President is not a dictator that just act on his own own impulse, although our current one seems to think so. It is the job of our govt to represent the people. That act was passed by the House of Representatives with unanimous consent. The president then has the option to sign it or veto it. With the tremendous support of the act, due to ACTUAL violations and WMD's, a veto would have been immoral and impossible.

  • That is not the same thing that happened during the bush administration. This time they used that historical moment to give an air of legitimacy to false intelligence reports knowing they would convince congress to go along with their plan. Also, you are trying to equate the actions of Bill Clinton to the actions of Hillary. Last I checked they are two different people. Are you married? Do you think it is fair to hold you accountable for all actions of your spouse?

  • Your argument was that Congress was fed false intelligence reports to support Bush's war. That SAME congress was fed the same reports during the clinton admin. If you go back to clinton's speeches, it's a mirroring image of what bush said about iraq. It's all a political game. A president in your own party says Saddam has WMD's, it true. A president off the opposite party say it, it was lie.

  • "support efforts" does not mean start a war. Some people think that it is impossible to add kindling to fire that has already started, without starting the fire oneself. Pelosi, Kennedy and Kerry voted for the war because they were mislead.

Think before you speak. As citezens, we aim for truth, not self gratification.

  • They sure were mislead, BY CLINTON AND THE UNITED NATIONS IN THE 90's. DON'T YOU GET IT. IN THE 90's, THOSE SAME POLITICIANS THAT SAYS THIS WAR IS "ILLEGAL" WANTED TO GO INTO IRAQ BEFORE BUSH WAS PRESIDENT. Research the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998. Why don't you RESEARCH before you speak......These same politicians URGED that Clinton deal with and topple Saddam. I'm so sick of gullible ill-informed liberals like you

  • hahahaha vote ron paul !!! bush and clintons are the same LOL!!!

  • they are all two faced,,, and NO!!! im not a ron pauluteant.

thank your favorite TV channels for your daily dose of mind control.... dont actually do any homework just vote for whom they tell you to,,,,,, hahahahahahahahaha hey McCain!! come on already step down for the good of this country.

  • In '02, most everyone was on board with the war in Iraq. We were told Irag had WMD. The thing is, we were all going on the knowledge from our President. The fact that everyone (mainly Democrats) are now AGAINST the war is because it's evident the objective was never met. We, as a country, were duped with the knowledge that had been handed to us by "experts" and the man we (not that I voted for him) put in office to lead us. This video is so cliche of what pretty much everyone has done.

  • she needs jesus then we will see real change

  • Obama & Hillary Skeletons... AND THEY ARE SCARY!!! watch?v=vyzI9u6--MM

    watch?v=EpNyXf6teU4

    watch?v=D8yirZTPBGU

How long will it be before we have a president who DOESNT start a war?

  • Brillaint? She is a liar. She has no regard for this country, only power, that is all, if you support her you are brainwashed. She is all over the map when it comes to her voting record. She has no beliefs, only those that play to who she is speaking too.

  • In the final Des Moines Register poll, or "Golden Poll", Senator Obama has a 7 point lead in Iowa over Hillary, which is outside the margin of error. This reflects what we're seeing in the trending and evidence on the ground showing that Senator Obama is on his way to winning in Iowa.

  • Hillary would be the death of America, if she becomes our next president.

  • I will change parties!

  • I will be seriously scared for my family if she is elected president.

    Ron Paul has my vote!

  • if she even comes close i will leave the country

  • She's not smart. She doesn't care about the U.S. She only cares about getting herself into the white house.

  • Shes brilliant. Like her or not... she is one of the most intelligent candidates out there. Period.

  • Where was HRC for a Foreign Policy Forum, in IA or NH? Her campaign is afraid to put her up against Barack Obama on character, competence, substance. A vote for Hillary is a vote for four more years of a Republican White House! Democrats take note, Barack Obama is scoring far more crossovers than any of the front-runners. How many Indies and Repubs will vote for Hillary -- now, or next November? Zero. Clinton's skill set = Sec'y of Education. Obama's skill set = POTUS.

  • she had bad information- from YOU KNOW WHO- you cannot judge her on the past- Bush knew- she didn't- she has the right course now

  • i believe she was on the senate intelligence committee and had access to all the same pdb's and nie's.

or maybe bush intentionally lied about it thinking no one would notice? come on, dude. snap out of it

  • Well since the decision to go to war was in the past, can you judge Bush on it? Besides - have you forgotten when her dope husband tried to invade Iraq in 1998 and Albright and Cohen got booed off the stage?

  • Yeah, she had the firm conviction that this would be be the best vote for her political career, even though she knew it was totally wrong.

That is why she must not be elected President.

  • HILLARY CLINTON VOTED FOR THIS WAR, AND NOW 4,000 BRAVE YOUNG AMERICANS HAVE DIED IN THE NAME OF OIL. She has played both sides of the fence on this issue, and will do or say anything to become president. We need a trustworthy president, not one who will sacrifice anything because of uninhibited personal ambition.

  • Ok, you keep on believing that...I voted for Bill Clinton, I think he's a great man, despite his mistakes during his presidency...

And by the way, if my husband would have been unfaithful to me, I wouldn't have swept it under the rug to save face, even if he were president...

You vote for Hillary, I'll vote for Barack and we'll both be happy~:) Thanks!

  • pacificguitarist- she trusted Bush!! Then she said - later - that had she been president she never would have asked for the authority that she'd GIVEN Bush. You know, when Bill was president, there was no such thing as youtube, and he could get away with this crap. He found out this week that he can't lie with such ease anymore. They really think they can get away with anything. They are delusional.

  • Yes. She DID trust Bush. Thats why she voted to give him the power to go to war, never thinking that the POTUS would never even consider diplomacy and just skip to war. And if you haven't noticed.... %99 of the population trusted Bush at the time ( the other one percent is Obama.) So this was BEFORE we knew that Bush was a God damn Imbecile.

  • She just voted in the Senate to give Bush authorization to invade Iran! Based on your comment, she remains ignorant of the issues and willing to run head long into another war.

  • She did not give Bush authorization to invade iran. She voted for Iran regime to be labeled a terrorist group. I think she made a mistake here by the way.... but make no mistake she did NOT authorize Bush to go to war with iran. Besides, the US military can't invade Iran right now anyway.

  • (3) that it should be the policy of the United States to combat, contain, and roll back the violent activities and destabilizing influence inside Iraq of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran

  • (4) to support the prudent and calibrated use of all instruments of United States national power in Iraq, including diplomatic, economic, intelligence, and military instruments, in support of the policy described in paragraph (3) with respect to the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and its proxies;

  • (5) that the United States should designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps as a foreign terrorist organization under section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act and place the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps on the list of Specially Designated Global Terrorists, as established under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act and initiated under Executive Order 13224

  • Executive Order 13224 -

U.S. government to block the assets of individuals and entities that provide support, services, or assistance to, or otherwise associate with, terrorists and terrorist organizations designated under the Order

  • Well, Pacific, the fact that Obama was in the 1% that did not trust Bush makes me want to vote for him, as his instincts/judgment were correct. And at least Edwards apologized for his mistake. Her Royal Clinton never has, which only reminds me of Bush, and my instincts and judgment tell me that's not a good thing.

  • Oh believe me psantillana. I would rather have Obama and Edwards than Clinton. But I don't think Clinton is the devil, thats just what I'm trying to say.

    Obama 08!

  • ok! Not the devil. I'll buy that.

  • Oh, no. As she stated, it wasn't wrong to approve the Iraq War, rather it was Bush who let everybody down. She doesn't regret her actions, rather regrets Bush's actions. See?

  • WAKE UP PEOPLE.

Clinton, Edwards, Obama, THEY ARE ALL CFR!!!

ALL THE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES!! EVERYONE SINGLE LAST ONE OF THEM!! IS AFFILIATED WITH EITHER THE CFR, TRILATERAL COMMISSION, OR BILDEBERG GROUP!

If you don't know what these 3 groups are, read up while you still can.

The ONLY ONLY ONLY candidate who is NOT affiliated with CFR, Tri, or Bildeberg, and the only one who ACTUALLY cares about the PEOPLE is ..?

    Ron Paul.

  • HILLARY CLINTON VOTED FOR THIS WAR, AND NOW MORE THAN 4,000 BRAVE YOUNG AMERICANS HAVE DIED FOR OIL. She then voted a few months ago for the 'Saber Rattling' resolution in reference to Iran that could well lead to further military action against that country. SHE WILL DO OR SAY ANYTHING TO BECOME PRESIDENT. It's time we had a president we can actually trust, who won't put young innocent soldiers in harms way for the sake of political, economic, and special interests.

  • Wow, Hillary Clinton is a politician who does this according to poll numbers?!? REALLY?

  • Enlighten the american people with ONE unique qualification that hilary clinton has for being president of the united states. The idea that the majority of people voting democrat are doing so because of Bush's time in office, is disheartening. I never thought that people would be so naive, to not research or learn the facts about all of the candidates because they do not agree with a republican president. Hilary clinton is a absolute JOKE in this campaign compared to the republican nominees.

  • Hillary believes in tackling issues that the US and world community faces together, and has already demonstrated this consistently across her lifetime which is unique because she already has created a foundation to rebuild bridges between US and the world community again. Take foreign policy for example: she belives in working with the UN to tackle potntial threats together, exhausting joint diplomatic efforts and only having force as a last resort.

  • This approach to forign policy would be welcomed by the UN who were disgusted that US and UK acted alone without even having international recognition that a threat even existed, let alone working together dipolmatically 1st to solve a common problem. She belives tackling global warming is perfect opportunity for US to get involved with the world community again to tackle a shared problem, which she felt Bush missed out on by not joining the Kyoto treaty.

  • As 1st lady you know that she tried and failed to get universal healthcare, but the principle of that policy shows that she cared about the well being of the entire community, saying healthcare was not a communist ideology or a privaladge for the few that can afford it, but a basic moral right. Look up her 1995 UN speech at Beijing, where she tried to tackle the issue of women's rights at a global level saying that they are not seperate from human rights.

  • It's important you choose a leader that will rebuild links with the world community because most of the world dosen't want US to be isolationist, but a country it can look up to again and takes responsibility, instead of being hated and feared. I personally belive Hillary is the right candidate to fufill this role because she has already built that platform. I hope this answers your question.

  • that is absolutely the most rational and best answer i have ever heard regarding this issue.

  • 2 "stevo12362". Thank u 4 being respectful to an outsider's differing view. I hope u represent most modern Republicans because of your willingness not necessarily 2 vote 4, but b open minded 2 what centre left Democrats have 2 offer. A bipartisan and cooperative international approach is the only fair and practical way US can rebuild relations in the domestic and international community and solve the serious challenges of the immediate and long term future. I'm glad I answered your challenge.

  • I am sorry, but you seem to not be really paying attention to what she is saying and doing...Being biased is no excuse to "not" pay attention to what your candidate is doing...She attacks the other candidates, making it a dirty race and she is too much a politician and not enough "real" person...

Democrat choices: Barack Obama or John Edwards and the only Republican choice is: Mike Huckabee

  • I don't care about the petty issues. I'm inspired by Hillary not being afraid to face the immediate and long term challenges facing the US and global community via a bipartisan and cooperative international approach. I like how she still belives in and wants to return to USA's great legacy of being a progressive nation that supports others, and to help restore the "American Dream" for the US people. She's a refreshing combination of idealism, realism and optimism.

  • She is an opportunistic, leftist radical, hypocrite who would sell her mother if she thought it would improve her chances of higher office or her polls.

  • Stevo, although KKvh4026 answered the question better than I could, I would like to add that most of the Republican party is still standing by this war, maybe thats why most people are tired of the party.

  • Umm..... these arn't conflicting statements. She voted to give the POWER to go to war only if it was a last resort. Bush did not use war as a last resort and because of it Clinton has said her vote was a mistake.

  • Clinton has not acknowledged her vote was a mistake. She is still trying to play both sides of the fence.

  • Actually. Your right. I reread the last part I wrote and you are entirely correct she has not said it was a mistake and she IS trying to play both sides of the fence which I do think is a mistake. But she is a politician and that is what they do. On this one I cannot hold it against her.

  • I hold it against her, because you cant topple countries and think its a good idea, and then change your mind a few months later only to change your mind again. If this was what color shirt to wear - fine change your mind. Not when its taking out governments. Bush hate him or not, is not trying to be all things to all people.

  • Your right. Bush doesn't appear to care about what the american people want.

But let me say again. Clinton has NOT changed her position on the war. just read my first comment again.

  • I'm sorry with all due respect, Clinton has continued to change her opinion of the war. Intersetingly she has been more hawkish when she is faced with a tough vote or decision. She is an opportunistic hypocrite.

  • Nono. She has not changed her opinion against it. However when it comes to handling the issue....yes she has changed her opinion. But so has everyone.

  • Hillary gets a free pass from the anti war crowd, when she's been a supporter of every military action Bush proposes.

  • She was for the war, then against the war, then for it. She checks the polls before she votes, not good when it comes to foreign policy.

  • be it when he was a state senator, obama voted against the war

  • No she hasn't. She's just blamed other folks for her own stupidity. Kind of like her husband blaming Janet Waco for that invasion on Koresh and family.

  • She has definately not supported every military action in Iraq. Most notably she was completely against the current surge.

henrybensmer - Obama rocks. And he was completely opposed to the war from the beginning, However he was NOT a senator when we went to war. Therefore he never voted against giving Bush the power to go to war.

  • Hillary knew the surge would pass, and this was good for her politically to give a fig leaf to the anti war crowd. Even Hillary this week said "We will win the war in Iraq the right way". She is not talking about immediate withdrawl.

  • You are wrong. There is a difference between playing sides and standing by your decisions. She won't apologize because she did nothing wrong, unless trusting our intelligence agencies was a crime. She made the right decision based on what later turned out to be false reports. Not her fault, no apology.

  • George W. Bush did the same thing. Why should she get a pass and not the President?

  • dude... that's how they play the game. "the last resort" was added so that they can get put of the sticky situation and give excuses for mistakes made. you don't need a leader who knows how to gives excuses. you need one who will own up to mistakes.

  • The troop surge is working so watch as Hillary changes her position for the 15th time. What a fraud!

  • Analysis of Iraq vote- part5: She ceratinly wasn't mislead by any attempts to link Iraq with 9/11 which she stated. She did however state that her decission was partly influenced by having witnessed witnessed 9/11 as NY senator and appreciating the dangerous consequences to ignoring potential threat.

  • Analysis of Iraq vote- part4: In 02' speech she expressed concerns that the guarantee of requirement of diplomatic efforts being exhausted 1st wasn't as strong in the resolution as she would've liked, and warned Bush directly not to abuse this power and held him and his administration to their verbal assurances that they would not act without a UN resoultion getting inspectors to prove WMD existed, upon casting her vote. In hindsight this was her only mistake as they lied.

  • Analysis of Iraq war- part 3: In 02' speech, she strongly advocated diplomacy first and international cooperation in order to pressure for removal of WMD should they be confirmed, but stated that she would grant authourisation for use of force should diplomatic efforts fail as an imporant message to show US was serious and pressure for matter to be resolved diplomatically.

  • Analysis of iraq vote- part 2: In her full 02' speech, she acknoledged that the inteligence provided was sufficient to acknowledge a possible threat existed, but concluded that no immediate threat existed to warantee preemptive war. She specifically stated that she was against US unilateral immediate preemtive war, urging Bush directly to pressure the UN however to return inspectors to Iraq for evidence of WMD.

  • Analysis of iraq vote- part 1: Most good politicians positions over complex issues are not black and white. It is very misleading and dangerous to label someone as "for the Iraq war" on the basis of a single vote. Please look up "Hillary Clinton Iraq War Full Speech 10/10/02 Part 1/ Part 2" on youtube, a 20 minute speech where she outlines the range of possible actions in light of the evidence, states her position and outlines directly to Bush how her vote is to be interpreted.

  • I was always against the Iraq war and was disappointed Hillary had "voted for the war". However, upon further investigation, I realised this was a false misleading statement. The vote was on granting permission for considering a US invasion TO DISARM Iraq ONLY, SHOULD DIPLOMATIC EFFORTS FAIL, as she clearly states. Upon voting in 02' she warned Bush in advance NOT TO ABUSE THIS POWER and NOT TO RUSH TO WAR. Watch the video again and don't be mislead by political spin for others political gain

  • Come on. If you're against going to war you don't vote to authorize. You can't vote yes and say I didn't think he'd do it. That's political double talk. She should have had the gut's to admit it like Edwards did.

  • what a cowardly rationalization.when they caught saddam she was in front of the camera more than anybody.nobody is stupid enough to believe what you say,not even you.denial isn't just a river in egypt

  • Clinton will say anything, do anything to gain power. Even carpetbag to a New York Senate seat with NO connection to the state. We can do better! Obama '08!!

  • Obama 08!!! He OBVIOUSLY has better judgment than her!

  • I really don't see what people see in her. She doesn't even seem like a real person to me-more like a robot. I just get a bad feeling every time that I hear her speak.

I support Barack Obama for President and really hope that people give him a chance.

  • "I cast it with conviction," she said of the vote. Yeah, she's got a conviction as strong and deep as the polls of the day. And given the dramatic and positive turn of events going on in Iraq now, what will her conviction be this time next year?

  • Hillary was on the Board of Bechtel when they were selling WMD's to Iraq.

    Don't be fooled.

  • Oh well, she'll still be better for us than any of the GOPs.

  • I hope she doesnt win cuz she will bring this country down to the ground

  • She's worse than Bush.

  • It will be difficult to Hilary to beat any Republican candidate when they get to the final round of the election

  • Problem is - the current polls show that she can. Scary isnt it? OBAMA '08 He HAS to win the democratic primary!

  • HILLARY IS A CORPORATE WAR WHORE!!!!!!

    Dennis Kucinich- Strength through Peace~

  • Hillary is the most pro-war candidate in the Democratic party, and more pro-war than some Republicans. Clinton and Guiliani are the most pro-war, pro-murder, pro-abortion, pro-torture candidates to ever run for President.
