What a breath of fresh air Amy and Robert are. Traversing though all the secrecy, misinformation, propaganda, private corruption, embedded reporters...lies lies lies. Democracy Now is a beacon of light, in an otherwise monopoly of conservative radio. Why would Bush and Cheney ban photos and film of returning dead soldiers? It's really quite obvious isn't it? Your first clue somethings wrong is when facts are buried and censorship is heightened. It's the real legacy of Bush's presidency.

really? i read in an article yesterday morning that Obama has given the green light to Netanyahu to continue building Israeli settlements on occupied Palestinian territory -- this after his deceitful speech in Cairo in which he agreed that peace in the region could not be reached until Israel stopped its building of settlements on Palestinian land. he's as crooked a politician as Clinton and Bush were before him. see Fisk's comments on the preposterous awarding of the Nobel to Obama.

well that would be disappointing since obama has clearly said just the opposite publicly. pretty sure israelis knew what they were getting with netanyahu, which to me is like re-electing bush.

i find it amusing the indignity of people over the nobel peace decision. i got it.  it was like this hard slap in the face to conservative americans for the 8 years of bush. and the promise of more open dialogue, less public demonizing and saber rattling of rogue countries. we'll see, won't we?

if you find my indignity amusing, you must find it equally amusing that well-known journalists and intellectuals like Fisk and Chomsky are also indignant about the awarding of the Nobel to Obama. we're all indignant because Obama hasn't done anything! one cannot receive the Nobel simply on "nice words" alone -- action has to count for something, doesn't it? and thus far, Obama has shown us that when it comes to the Middle East, the US will continue to support Israel -- no matter what.

well for one dancebaby, the nobel "peace" prize is somewhat subjective in comparative relation to other nobel's, such as science, literature, etc. it has been awarded only on the premise of change.

since you're name dropping, google 'rachel maddow: the nobel peace prize and obama derangement syndrome'. just do it, it's a 4 minute clip and explains my position better than i can.

also, it's too early to indict obama on the middle east.
