  • Davydenko live his bests moments in 2006, when he was the third of the world in the ranking.

  • 3:23 What the hell ? how it is even possible for davydenko to do that smash ?!?!? Great job man

  • From this match and the later HC matches Davy has won against Nadal you can see the big improvement in coming forward. He does it more often and more effectively now.

  • fantastic video.

  • xibaryon fantastic video.

  • Davydenko is like the forgotten one in tennis ... i feel sorry for him

he had so many chances throughout his career but ... he lost so many times to federer ... not without a fight but ...

  • awesome game. wow. mediocre quality video but high quality tennis!! thanks!!

  • davydenko is an athletic player...hes a grinder, he loves running heaps and loves to hit real dip with topspin.

  • Davydenko Always has a fast game, its good

  • i wish "coli" will get back at this level fast...

  • davydenko in the baselline is impressive.forehand and backhand are equal.but nadal of course...nadal is just a beast

  • vamos nadal!

  • davydenko is such a great person..how can somebody not like him??

  • probably because of that dumb betting scandal a while ago

  • Yea, and he also has like a boring personality and not much character when he is on the court.

  • to say davydenko is shit is absolutely ridiculous, i hate to be antagonistic but you're talking out your arse

  • the two worst commontator eva

  • Vamos Rafa!

  • One of the better matches played by both!

  • I still remember this match strongly for some reason when Davydenko won a set. He played super tennis, nearly played to perfection hitting the ball on the rise constantly.

  • davydenko has to be one of the most consistent people I've seen that can take the ball that early

  • yes but davidenko is good when he is good but nadal win him when he want man i am from spain xdxd

  • even though davydenko didnt win this match i think davydenko was on fire here

  • nadal is so much improvig ad for me he's easily worlds o.1

  • that overhead where he's at the baseline is insane.

  • davydenko has great strokes even when he runs to the other side of the court. He is a great player

  • Davidenko would be n1 if he could hold nerve against Federer!

  • thats true, too many chances left time ago, but now he got his vendetta :D

  • Even though I'm not a big fan of Nadal, he's played a fantastic match here, as well as Davydenko. Great to watch, beautyfull shots from both players

  • he lacks a solid net game, slice and better serve,to be better than he is..

  • davydenko has all the skills to be even number 1,but the only thing that separates federer and nadal from the rest is the psychlogical resistense

  • Yeah. He has pretty good ground strokes, is extremely fast, very consistent and has a pretty solid serve for a small guy. He gets so many chances but never wins them all which is his problem. He can't close out matches especially.

  • all the skills?? I don´t think so..davydenko relies on his great baseline game and quickness to win, his volleys aren´t good, he doesn´t slice and his serve is average..still a few areas he need´s to improve on..

  • reefric as if volleys and serves these days are required to win. Look at Nadal, his serve is very mediocre as he virtually ALWAYS uses a slice first serve to right handed player's backhands and he can't volley well unless the ball is just floating there wanted to be put away, but all pros can put those away or else they wouldn't be pro.

  • I understand, many top guys win just by having a solid baseline game and the rest being average, no wonder federer is n.1, he excels at the net as well and wips davydenko all the time because of that, just goes to show, even roddick volleys better than davydenko..nadal is the same case as davydenko except he is stronger..may be little better at the net and serve though..and he drop shots as well..

  • His serve isn't mediocre. This is in 2006. Nadal's serve has also been consistent, but he has greatly improved his pace and variety since 06. His volleys are actually really good. Its just that he dominates so well at the baseline, there's no real need to come in and volley all the time. He hits very good touch and feel, angled, and drop volleys. Nadal is one of the players who has improved his game quite a bit in recent years.

  • LOL, Davydenko can't play on grass, so it will be hard to become n°1.

  • solid and very consistent baseliners, although nadal does have more variation with slice and seems to volley better than nikolay, but both guys are really fast and can make those rallies last a long time..

  • im a davydenko fan, i think that if he had a better serve he would be able to defeat federer or nadal...

  • that shot at 2:47..

  • I love Nikolay. His backhand is up there with Nalbandians, he's got great foot work, takes the ball early, and umm I think he's beautiful, no hair and all

  • Davai nikolay, i'm a davydenko fan too, he's fantastic, but people don't wana be aware of his strenght just because he isn't an addvertising player, but he works huge and he've got a beautiful game, you'll see nadal won't last as longer as nikolay,DAVAI nikolay!!

  • dang!.. freakin...both of em.. r beastly...

  • I wanted Daydenko to win this match...

I love Davydenko, he's so fast and his strokes are so well placed and hard.

Davydenko is a conscipuous person, but his tennis is amazing, and he's a hard worker.
