I do not believe there are any mean people. I believe there are people who act mean because they're hurting in some way. Their problem--to answer your question--is the pain they are feeling now or the pain that has injured and warped them in earlier times. None of us is really evil at the core. I had a very brief fight with a "hater channel" dedicated to me recently. I eventually had enough of them (it was run by 3 teenagers), so I told someone who has contact with me and them that I wanted the channel gone by this past weekend. My contact said "What if the channel isn't gone?"; I said "Just *tell* them".
Not only was it closed by Saturday, but the main guy apologized, and he and I are friends. :) He even took my advice and apologized to my other friends.

Sometimes it isnt the 'non mixing bits' fault that they dont dissolve. Sometimes the package is stored wrong. Or maybe they just werent shaken or stirred enough, or the water was the wrong temperature. If its the only drink you have, cant make more, and you are thirsty, you have to work around the lumps and drink anyway. How thirsty are you? Can you bear the tasteless lumps? With people, though it often is, it may not be their fault. If you cant bear it, look for others who do 'mix' well.
As for mean people? I dont get why they are that way sometimes- but I do know. For whatever reason something is lacking in their lives, which makes them ignorant, insecure, or jaded. They overcompensate by over-reacting, scapegoating, or being emotional rather than pausing to think things through, and getting in touch with concepts like empathy, respect, reason, decency, or consequence. Its better to think and do right, than to do wrong and think of it later- or worse, to never think of it.
By all means ramble on as much as you like to. I always enjoy hearing you talk. The 'non mixing bits' analogy gave me a chuckle as you described it but it makes sense. I used to hate it when chocolate milk mix or coffee creamer didnt work- then they invented syrup. Anyhow people think I take crap off people- I'm really just turning the other cheek or being helpful- if others see that as a weakness its their problem. I help people who need it and its good to be of help +its the right thing to do.

I like the fact you philosophise about very common things and I probably like the metaphores that kind of thinking produces even more. It always puts a smile on my face. What I don't get is that a large amount of people don't like this stuff, at least not in my world :p It always becomes labeled as "silly"
But yeah, I guess I like the silliness of it all :p maybe because silliness isn't silly at all ...

I understand truly helping & being miss-interrupted as mean, but I just don't understand mean & think you are helping. It is the thought that counts, really.

Hi, Mary Ann--
I had a very brief fight with a "hater channel" dedicated to me recently. I eventually had enough of them (it was run by 3 teenagers), so I told someone who has contact with me and them that I wanted the channel gone by this past weekend. My contact said "What if the channel isn't gone?"; I said "Just *tell* them".
Not only was it closed by Saturday, but the main guy apologized, and he and I are friends. :) He even took my advice and apologized to my other friends.

Earlier today I was doing some painting around the house; and when I went to the hardware store I asked the employee for a mixing bit ( a bit that goes on a drill and mixes paint). The employee laughed, and thought I was joking. I didn't understand why, so I asked. And as soon as she said Youtube, I remembered this video. It was kind of funny at the time.

Sometimes it isnt the 'non mixing bits' fault that they dont dissolve. Sometimes the package is stored wrong. Or maybe they just werent shaken or stirred enough, or the water was the wrong temperature. If its the only drink you have, cant make more, and you are thirsty, you have to work around the lumps and drink anyway. How thirsty are you? Can you bear the tasteless lumps? With people, though it often is, it may not be their fault. If you cant bear it, look for others who do 'mix' well.

As for mean people? I dont get why they are that way sometimes- but I do know. For whatever reason something is lacking in their lives, which makes them ignorant, insecure, or jaded. They overcompensate by over-reacting, scapegoating, or being emotional rather than pausing to think things through, and getting in touch with concepts like empathy, respect, reason, decency, or consequence. Its better to think and do right, than to do wrong and think of it later- or worse, to never think of it.

By all means ramble on as much as you like to. I always enjoy hearing you talk. The 'non mixing bits' analogy gave me a chuckle as you described it but it makes sense. I used to hate it when chocolate milk mix or coffee creamer didnt work- then they invented syrup. Anyhow people think I take crap off people- I'm really just turning the other cheek or being helpful- if others see that as a weakness its their problem. I help people who need it and its good to be of help +its the right thing to do.
