My adoption story is almost identical to yours! Minus the moving at 6 yrs old and the state where you live :) but similar age, same place, and for the same reason. I love that you added, "South," because people always ask me which Korea because they don't really get that if I were a North Korean, I'd probably still be there!

I'm adopted too except I'm filipino like my parents they actually kept it a secret from me until I was in year 8/ 12 yrs old (?)...its already been almost 5 years and I don't feel any different but I don't talk to my parents about it. They don't know my real parents and have no info I'm interested in getting this DNA ancestry test done that says what my ancestry is up to 6 generations. I have a few differen't characteristics from other filipinos so I really wanna know what my ancestry is.

I'm adopted too! I am 15 and I was adopted into a white family when I was 2 days old (I am white.). It was never kept a secret from me but they could have totally pulled it off. When people tell me I look a lot like my brother (not blood related, adopted into a family with already two kids) I say, "Ya right! I'm adopted!" And then they are so shocked haha.

hey hannah cho, during the time you were adopted Korea was a very poor country, Confucian society discouraged adoption and cute Korean kids needed homes. Americans open their homes to them. now Korea is a Christian nation and they in fact adopt kids not only from Korea but elsewhere as well. karma :)
