  • the Steinberger Bass & Guitar!..AwEsOmE! =0D

  • see "Tribute to James Blood Ulmer 'Rhymeless' " where I do my best to honor the harmelodic madness a freakaform funk-punk that Damu Mustafa Abdul Mussawir dreamt of and laid upon the world.

  • I saw Blood 4 times and met him 3 times. Best show I ever saw, 1985 in Hmaburg, Germany with Amin Ali, G Calvin Weston and David Murray. Free form freakadelic mind blowing tones and rhythms from out of this Solar System. The other poster is right that Hendrix and Ulmer are the INventors of SOund.

  • Simply timeless

  • Oh boy music. I love music.

  • this guy is one of the best guitarists to tread water on the planet

  • Natural trans.

  • dont know about lyrics but actually pete cosey can sing and compose his tookus off. but one of those cats that never got his full due or had a solo career after miles because he never moved to new york--thats one theory anyway. but blood, sharrock, cosey all found stuff in them six strings other cats woulda been scared to touch with ten foot marshall stacks.

  • Oh MAN! Free Funkin'! THIS is THE Power FUNK Trio! Amazing Shit, this is, I do declare, Cookie Puss. Dang me! Love this stuff so much. Thanks for sharing this, ARSMAC1.

  • I saw this band. Incredible trio!!! james blood Ulmer is the only sound innovator on electric guitar since Jimi Hendrix. Note the use of the term "sound innovator." Respects to McLaughlin, Frisel, Sonny Sharrock, Derek Bailey...Only other cat I would put in Blood's league is Pete Cosey, but not even Cosey can sing, compose and write lyrics...Blood reinvented the Blues.

  • YEAH! I gotta see this guy live. Have you seen his version of SITTIN' ON TOP OF THE WORLD? AMAZING! From a Blues show a few years back at Radio City Music Hall. Pretty cool DVD.

  • Jamaaladeen! Jamaaladeen!

  • amazing...gotsta dig the Blood! yeh yeh!!

  • Yikes, some of the best...love it!!!!

  • wow, this shows 2 things I can see...one that no matter what these guys play, it always sounds full of adventure......

and two, man those little guitars(who shall go UN-NAMED) really sound tone-less....that Gibson Byrdland he usually uses is certainly part of his sound !!!

  • Killin'....
