Boeing 737-800 Bouncy Landing!!!

I think the thing to bare in mind is, that you are merely arresting the rate of descent when you put a jet down. There is no fully held off landing (or if there is, its followed by a loud noise). So its really a battle of all the forces of nature to get the aircraft down in a tidy manner. Every captain on every airline has one of these once in a while.

nothing wrong with this landing , i fly a couple of times with tui fly , and i think its a great company with good skilled pilots and a nice and friendly crew

It wasn't a bounced landing. The plane touched down smoothly, the flare maneuver was correctly executed. I am tired of people that know nothing about airplanes putting titles like "extreme landing" "insane takeoff" etc, to normal jetliner maneuvers. Get a life fuckers.

well I say that it was not actually a bounce landing.

the touch down was a "kiss touch down". I guess that the PF pulled the yaw a bit more than he had to in orded to make it smooth so he went on the other side and gained instantly a bit of positive climb rate

In this case the pilot had to bring the nose/plane down fast, maybe the reason is he had to land on a short runway.

It is hard to land the Boeing 737 without bouncing, as it only has a single bogie for each rear wheel (when compared to the 777, which has 3)

@britanniaairlines12 I'm willing to agree...But travelling in the 737 only for several years now, I never really experienced a bouncy landing. Perhaps a couple of slightly hard ones, but all the other were like strokes on the runway.;)

@britanniaairlines12 not right, the 737 lands without bouncing no problem. As long as you don't touchdown with excess speed AND the speedbrakes are armed for landing, the plane won't bounce, just like in this vid where it DID NOT bounce. It was a great landing actually. The pilot flared correctly and touchdown smoothly without floating.
