  • go the almighty 1980's Lux

  • all I seen was one big pixel...instead of 1080p that's like 1p

  • 欲しいー

  • The first Hilux was the best!!

  • Does anyone know more about the music in the old Tamiya videos? sounds so good to me

  • These where cheap back then. now there from $300-$600

  • I'm a little confused, is the Tamiya Bruiser the same thing as the Hilux or Mountaineer? Which is which? Or are they all the same truck model?

  • its funny how there is no suspension

  • were can u get one of these

  • Built to outlast most of today's cars.

  • @deepmelody1991 it has more metal then alot of cars do today.

  • nice cars my dad had 1 one and is still okay

  • Damn that's a cool blast from the past video! thanks for posting it! Gotta love the 70's Bruce Lee style elevator song. Tamiya was way ahead of the times back then. Anyone still launch their 3 speeds like this? I've got a shelf queen, but after watching this vid, I wanna take it to the beach and do some offroading.

    Thanks again,

    DJ

  • but 200 dollars was the price of a full size car back then. are u sure? lol!

  • WTF?

    It was the Late 70's & 80's

Full size cars were not $200!

  • i know lol, they were like 7 grand, but dude like 200$ back then was like 2 grand

  • better recalculate that. the new price of a model-t ford in the teens and 20's was about $400. so you let me know what kind of new car u got in the 70's for $200

  • 1981

  • my uncle has 1 got it new way back then. it still works and has everything it came with. but the battery is no good

  • 1/10th the size, but 1/14th the power. :-( cool video though, and you should have seen the look on the face of the guy that sold one to my friend a year or so ago when my friend told him that it was going to be a runner.

  • i had the old tamiya frog buggy during 1988. then the yellow beetle big foot 1992. the blackfoot and midnight pumpkin are nice too. now at 30 years old i only play with the tyco drift kings. haha. maybe a nitro cenracing toy soon

  • Good luck on getting one :) You can still find classic Clodbuster kits, but not sure bout these.

  • I tell ya what.. when you have trucks like the savage and the tmaxx, and still want one of those old tamiyas so bad, it says something.. as far as being realistic and well built, tamiya did it all right. fuckin a. I want one. lol

  • wow awsome!i want one, i like that shifter on the controler!

  • could they really pull a real truck? there like a shit off a stick lol!

  • Wish I could fine one, would buy it in a second!

  • Excellent vid, i always wanted one of these but could only obtain the rough rider based ford f150 which i still have today.

  • As a Kid i always wanted the Hilux, but I ended up with the Grasshopper. Nice Video! Quality and Music like an old Pornmovie. ;) Sometimes the pickup look like a real car.

  • no doubt the best r/c ever made

  • Awesome video! i felt like a little kid watching saturday morning cartoons and bugging Mom and Dad for all the new toys. Great find.

  • Tamiya did what no one does now... Build realism into their RC's. They look just like the real thing, rather than the mutant, huge tired rc's of today. Sure, some prefer just performance, but some prefer the realism of vintage rc.

  • they wernt that great guys! as they were allways plagued by gearbox and axel problems, allthough they went well when going well, [if you get what i mean]

  • I never claimed they were the best performing or most reliable... They were the best LOOKING, most realistic. Realism doesn't make for the best performance, however.

  • i do agree ! i think that they looked better than how they went!

  • Fantastic, tamiya are the kings of model kit makers, they seem to be re-releasing so retro models lately, I hopw they plan to bring out the Hilux

  • lunchbox ftw

  • is the ford f 350 high lift a hard vehicle to build??

  • i have one perfect condition and i love it im going to keep it forever

  • The Ford F-350 High Lift is the modern follow up of the Hilux. If you do want an original Hilux, you'll pay big.

  • Oh the memories, It was advanced for the time and would still hold up to day. If I remember right it had leafsprings

  • wtf this is a good car why dnt they make these type of cars still on the new buggys...

  • damn i want 1 what sux is they dont sell replacement parts

  • Greg's gonna buy 10....

  • sweeeet!!!

  • awesome! the hilux/blazer/bruiser are my favorite tamiya kits of all time.
