@hobieslug45 I knew a guy that i went to school with he worked as a police man for a short while but eventually he quit he said that he did not like the idea of pulling people over for speeding and the idea that he might have to search someones car that we went to school with for drugs. Latter on he took his life. All the people i can think of that went to be police officers or join the military did so out of desperation of having no money a poor quality of life and lack of love.

I love Gerald Celente. One thing, though, at around 44:00 he comments "intentional communities" are "huge undertaking", but when we are talking about a "revolution", that is much BIGGER "undertaking". I think getting like minded people together to protect ourselves and to be self sufficient is the first step of survival. My wife and I are in the process of doing that. Buying local products, that is also one of the steps to build a community, which Gerald says he is doing.

@akiology You bring up a good point. having heard Gerald on this and other shows, most notably on Alex Jones' Infowars.com interviews, I think he didn't want to fully answer the question the caller posed because it would be percieved as advocating "communes" which still carry a hippy, non-conformist, negative connotation from the 60's. Enlightening people to the real threats to the economy, society,etc. which you're doing by listening to Gerald is a BIG first step. I wish my wife was listening.

@akiology Being enlightened by forecasters like Gerald is important, albeit not an easy listen. My problem is the more knowledge I process thru this info., the more my wife and others tune out. In my zeal to wake people up, my concerns overtake the message. trying to calmly explain these things to family, much less the average Amer. citizen, is a real challenge. We can't stop or give up, tho. Changing my spending habits, and trying to get well both bodily and prayerfully is where I will trynow

Not just food prices but quantities. I bought what I thought was a 1/2 gallon of ice cream a month ago at the store. It looked like a normal 1/2 gallon but was 1 3/4 quarts. Listening to Celente's view of the U.S. economic outlook and listening to the U.S. government's outlook is like day and night. They are complete opposite views. But only one is right. And that would be Celente. I don't think things will all go to hell in 2011 (I think big business and government will be able to hold back the tidal wave for at least another year) but I do think in the next five years things will go to hell. But it is impossible to predict exactly when it will happen.

As far as PSLV...I'm a fan of owning physical silver myself so I'm not up on the stock options of it. But since Silver is doing so well, I think you can't go wrong as long as you deal with reputable sources.

@Cyrus992 Who knows? I doubt it will go down much, I just bought 10 more oz's of silver just in case. The Silver market is a very small one and hence tends to be quit volatile. A big player jumping into the game can change things (Hunt bros 1980) so anything is possible. If it goes down...buy more, cause it's only temporary. Investing in Silver is not like playing the stock market, if your in...your in for a while. Those who hold out shall reap the rewards.

I am guessing it will rise... For like 2 years silver has barely crashed. Tell me about it. I mean why in the world would it go lower than $25 and ounce. The demand for industry, currency devaluation, cheap price, JP Morgan manipulation, and the race to a 1:16 ratio from gold are pushing the limits. The silver price must be smoking something if drops more for month.

I found out surprisingly, that the price of palladium actually rose to $1000 in the year 2000. Not kidding, then crashed to $150 by the year 2002. What happened? This is one of the most random mysteries I have ever seen.

@Cyrus992 I'm not well enough informed on either to give you advise. I've always just bought Silver and taken delivery of the metal...I like holding it in my hands. Palladium is an interesting metal. Lots of industrial uses. I looked at it last year when it was around $200 an oz...DOH! Didn't buy... That one is worth looking into, the auto industry uses it in catalytic converters and China will be buying a LOT of cars soon.

@AngriestAmerican Maybe... I sure will buy like crazy if it does. Although I'm afraid our poor dollar just doesn't have enough horsepower left to handle under $25 Silver. I think the last round of QE and printing money was the last straw for any major recovery of strength/value in the dollar. Plus the fear everybody has that the dollar will crash will keep it beaten down. I think everybody is expecting/waiting for the next Euro crisis so it won't be a shock. And China could always step in.
