As for how it was done, it was actually very flat clay and cardboard puppets on a multi-plane set up (just multiple layers of glass, makes it easy so you can move the puppets with out disturbing the background) and shot with an regular camera using a stop-mo program!
Lol. Short and sweet. Great animation style-- done with 3D Figures in front of a stop motion camera, right? :3
