Sam Scott, Brother, you murdered the bass in this song! You are a beast on the bass and I heard that you are a cold drummer too! Gifts and talents, ain't God good? The Lord used you on this one brother. I know a solid bass player when I hear one and that was solid bass! Praise God! Praise him, praise him, praise him!
I wish I could live in this time again!! I'd love the opportunity to appreciate it actually liviving in the moment!! Seeing the Hairdo's Glasses and hearing the music brings it all back!!

OMG...u GOTZ to love 90's gospel!! Powerful beyond measure, and of course comedy at timez too!!! LOL.
Think they got tired of hearin' my man sing so they cut out his mic at 3:00, but he was still tryin' 2 sing.
Then what in God's name is the Director doin....i knew he was up to somethin when he took off to the left at 3:46. Then at 4:13 i think i fell outta my chair laughin...
Classic! But I still love em. My favorite choir of all time!
@bamagoinham YEAH! i actually rewind it again and played again i thought it was brilliant, when you let the Lord have his way, the Grace and Glory of God comes to light. Wonderful.
I have to agree. Man this has to be one of the coldest Bass riffs I've ever heard! Does anybody know who the bass player is? I'm talkin cold Bass player. When I 1st heard this song I knew I had to learn it on my bass and one day I'm going to post me jamming this song on YouTube now, I ain't saying I will be cold like this cat who is playing but I will play it to the best of my ability. @exmissmassmember Thank you very much for your answers to my questions. Because #1 y'all are clowning this video and # 2 I got to have this DVD in my collection! Ain't no words for Mr. Bassman Allan Golden! This cat's in a class all by himself (untouchable). Is he Still around, (living) and if so, is he still jamming and if so, with whom?
4:11 too:) Amazing choir!!!!!!!!!!!The director was gettin it in as well........I just Love it when you can tell that peolpe Love God and Enjoy Praising His Name!!!
@mudbones11: I know that's rite; he's my favorite choir director; i know the choir be trying not to crack up watching him lol but at least he enjoys himself; i have never seen another choir director like him
I have lived in Mississippi all of my life, but never had the chance to see the MS Mass Choir live. Their music is moving and I find myself up given God praises when ever I listen to one of their songs. My favorite song is He can fix what is broke. My God continue to bless each and every member of the choir.
I used to think that it was 2 women leading this song....dude is blowing it up and Ms. Emma is bad. I wonder if she's any relation to the curry's who work at MVSU.
there was nothing wrong with the mike. he was getting hoarse. That's why the other song he did is not on the video, He was completely hoarse by the time we sang it. He had to go in the studio and do the song for the album. im talking about " God will fix it."
well thats understandable...so they must've been really editing his voice during this song cuz i can hear his notes in the background just not in the mic...
The entire video is voice over. We had to do God gets the glory twice at the end because they ran out of tape the recording as a whole was so long. We didn't leave the Coliseum until 4 in the morning after this recording.
I understand because I have the DVD of this recording, and, when I look at, you have It Came To Pass being at least an hour long because of the praising of the saints, then you have Rev. Benjamin Cone with his sermontte, then you have the intermission when the choir change and put on the other robe or take off the main peice of the robe.
Also, I think this is when the choir was its biggest. I'm talking about the members. Cause I know half of them that's in the choir now, they weren't in the choir for "It Remains To Be Seen". And that takes time for all the members to get off the stage and be back on the stage. So what was the officially last song before you went to intermission? Because the video is really not organized at all.
i love this soing!!! u kno if u watch closely when the male singer begins his lead, the short tenor behind him looks disgusted!!! everytime i watched this vid, that bothered me...then on the album for this concert, that song "God will fix it" wasnt that led by this counter-tenor? it wasnt in the vid tho...sad that he died too...
The reason you see that is because Micheal messed up the song! LOL He brought in the part he did too early We were actually suppose to repeat the first chorus again before he sang his verse.
Who are you exmissmassmember? You are giving out information that I never catch on too! Wow, I want to knpw who are you and thank you for the information.
I'm in the soprano section. That's all i am going to say. LOL if i told you who i was ( name wise) i would be in a world of trouble for revealing out mishaps. BTW it took us a month to learn this song and the night of the recording some choir members still didn't know the break down. LOL
Thank you so much for sharing that with us. You won't be in trouble for revealing who you are.
Did you know the early great Rev. James Moore? Rev. James Moore is by far the greatest singer ever. Please tell me about him if you have any behind the scene stories or anything to say about this great man.
@Stefan990 Don't really have any behind the scene stories about him, Only he was really meticulous about his songs when teaching them to us for recordings. He definitely was a true man of God.
I just watched this video a few days ago for the first time. I have the CD with this song on it. I never would have guesed that the one of the people who led this song was a guy!!
The bass player got some mad skills. One of the best bass riffs I have ever heard. Try listening to the bass on this song from start to finish. If I was to start back an improv group, I would have this bassist on my team.
OMG I NEVER KNEW A MAN SUNG THAT PART!!! ooo child lmao. i still love this tune tho. on the other hand...on that it remains to be seen album emma had on smaller glasses lol
@TheMakingsofMyself lol..Cut her some slack. I remember that style of frames. We used to call them the "Sally Jessie Rafeal's". Lol..Easy to rag on the past styles now. But man at that time you couldn't tell us we didn't look good..LOL!!
in all the the 12+ years i've heard this song i never knew it was a woman and a man singing this song and i'm 19 and my parents have all the mmc cd's!!!
i love this song im jus 19 bt i love this song...this is my first time hearing it 2day...the song & performance wuz great!!! That choir director & the choir was gettin it!!! I loved it GOD BLESS!!!

Do you know who sings "Be Still," "Star Spangled Banner," and "The Lord Keeps Blessing Me?"
Larrissa Tate the Star Spangled Banner, Be Still Soloists Demetrius Smith, Joyce Hayes, Jan Taylor knight, the lord Keeps on blessing me is Rev Milton Biggham, the choir member was Darryl Smith, i am not a member any more so i can tell you the mishap on that song. Darryl was not suppose to sing on that part. If you ever see the video just look at the Disgust on David Curry's face and it tells it all. If Darryl wasn't suppose to sing the lead on "The Lord Keeps Blessing Me" then who was suppose to lead it? Rev Milton Biggham asked for a member of Mississippi Mass Choir to sing and he Darryl sang.
@Stefan990 Sweetie you have to remember all the songs are staged. The person that was suppose to sing with Rev Milton Biggham was Desiree. She sang Be at home on Emanuel God with us album, also on It wasn't the nails on IT REMAINS TO BE SEEN and Call him up on Mississippi Mass Choir live. Thats who was suppose to come down when Rev Milton Biggham called for a member. Just look at the video and watch David's reaction. It tells it all.
@Stefan990 Because Darryl had already beat her to the mike. She was on the top row of Altos and needed time to come down.He was on the very front row of tenors right there at the mike. So David just went with it, eventhough he was very upset he had too..
Did Desiree ever confront Darryl for stealing her part? That was a big hit song. And by stealing her part Darryl has the chance to say he sang with big names (Rev. Milton Biggham, Huey Williams, and the early great Rev. James Moore).
@exmissmassmember What is the name of the dvd that this clip is off of? Also, will you please tell me the name of the Bass player thats jamming this song? You all that were there during this recording know all of the oops but for someone like me who just happen to stumble uponthis video on youtube. I see a group of blessed brothers & sisters being used by the Holy Spirit and the anointing on this to me is flawless! WOW! To God be the glory.

If Darryl Smith stole your lead part what would you have done? Would you have gotten your friend Michael Cox to confront him?

@exmissmassmember What is the name of the dvd that this clip is off of? Also, will you please tell me the name of the Bass player thats jamming this song? You all that were there during this recording know all of the oops but for someone like me who just happen to stumble uponthis video on youtube. I see a group of blessed brothers & sisters being used by the Holy Spirit and the anointing on this to me is flawless! WOW! To God be the glory.
