  • Look carefully: between 13:03 and 13: 40. Some of the headphones are on backwards!

  • 12:13 is that the Joker Steve Miller??

  • What standard cans did they monitor with 30 years ago? Today I usually see a Sony MDR series or Audio Technica on most heads.

  • Paul Cubby Bryant and PD Tom Poleman came from KRBE Houston. I have Cubby's last show here in Houston before he left for NYC

  • Wow KKBQ Houston and WHTZ formatics were almost identical. I knew that they all fed from each other, The Q Morning Zoo and other day parts did alot of the same things that Z-100 did.. but we were on the air first. AND we got Jack Da Wack (now Cactus Jack) at KKBQ

  • These stations were GREAT until Talk radio polluted the airwaves with their bullshit. What a crappy life I have now that great radio is gone.

  • Long Live WHTZ100!

  • sorry, but WABC was the last top40 station in NYC @ the time, a MONKEY could have programed a CHR station in new york and made it work... shit how good was his LA station?, ... oops he came back to 95.5 plj...look @ there ratinings..but then this thang is v/o RUCH... gee

  • LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!! It's guys like Scott and Magic Matt that had me decide to try my hand at radio.... Been trying for 10 years.. lol! But this still rocks!

  • Scott Shannon, thanks for letting me visit the Zoo, one highly influential day in my life. Still stealing your delivery to this day! (The guy who used to call in from WNCI.)
