conclusion: the jackal is the GOOD guy,if he not,why he gives you machete in the first,why he rescue you from sandstorm and why he never kill you even if he get three chances to do it,i wish farcry 3 use him as the main character! (in the ending they say the body was never been found,there is 1% chance he is alive)

@MegaAthir There's a no percent chance he's alive. The Jackal killed himself in both endings to the game.  One ending, he shoots himself. Another ending, he blows himself up.

There actually is a way out of the heart of darkness after u beat the game, but it takes a rather strange glitch. I kept jumping at a crack and I was somehow launched straight up. I only survived by landing in the lake. Then, I cashed in my DLC mission pack to lose my goal of diamonds or battery, and hey presto.

i loved (and still love) this game, but i never quite understood why you trust the jackal after he leaves you in an exploding motel to die from malaria, kicks you in the face on like two occasions and steals ur diamonds, sure he saved your life, but he just buggers off again, leaving you in a ruined hut in the desert, and finally sandbags you into entering inhospitable jungle, from which there is no return... oh well, guess i'll join you on ur shite mission.

@xGUERILLAxxxWARFAREx The M249 had very controllable recoil. Where the PKM's recoil is so severe that you can only slow the rise of the sights by pushing down, the M249's is so controllable that if you push down far enough, you'll look down when firing. So I don't know what you're talking about.

Even if you have 0 diamonds... Medicine, clean food, concrete, soap, by-standers who won't shoot you for no reason... ahhhh....

@Ballol I honestly got really mixed feelings about the game... on one hand, I love the game's flow... the diamonds, the weapons, the missions. The flow of the game's action.

But on the other hand, the story, the confusing twist and turns, the chaos of every-ass-monkey wanting to just shoot you and ask questions later, and lack of inovations and additive features of it's full measure... Idk if you could call this a 'great' title, good, but maybe not great. If they make a 3rd, really step it up

You can also just kill him by mortaring the area. Save the game right before you go into the gate, go in and remember where his is standing, then load the save to get back out. You can also shoot the semiauto grenade launcher through the bars, and wipe him out easily within the blast radius. Ridiculously satisfying , even if it's a little cheap..

The funny thing with the " friends". They were never friends. They work for the highest bidder. If they helped you out, it was probably for a better money pot later on because then that would have followed the feel of the game.

I made them all chase me in the swamp and shot them with my ASSO Sniper rifle. I killed the Arab guy and the other older dude but the rest for some reason managed to get wounded...so I executed them each personally.

It was a low point in the game for sure!
