As for the funding question, if you look at the credits at the end, it states that it was indeed filmed with a grant from VideoFACT, The Video Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent. So it didn't get THAT kind of funding (ie-lobby groups). BTW, Priuses do break down, and when they do, engine replacements can cost up to 5,000 bucks. Just something else to think about...
