Pretty retarded game overall. The demo was more enjoyable as it only featured the first level therefore cutting out all the more annoying crap.
More or less unavoidable encounters with large groups of battle droids using a lightsaber that will fail and get you hit more often than deflect bolts accurately made for wonderfully irritating combat, and the sparse distribution of health packs resulted in frequent restarts.

It's the kind of game, like Shadow of Chernobyl, which is an absolute classic despite its imperfection and bugginess, things which actually increase its authenticity. The dialogue was perfect and hilarious, plus the freedom and ability to be a mindless beast gave awesome replay value. I agree that pushing boxes around and jumping was ridiculous, but bypassing those you realise that its just a great game.

This game was slated by a lot of people but I liked it. I was 9 when I played it and it was the first game I played on any of the super consoles so that could excuse why I didn't understand what was wrong with it. I still can play it today but it's not a Shadows of the Empire or Jedi Knight II.

I bought the game and I really liked it, but it came with a bug that sometimes when u fall, the retarded screen went black and u had to restart the game, that was crap really but still I kept playing till I got tired of it.. I just wanted to fight darth maul and I couldnt, that was a goddamnt dissapointment for me..
First of all, the game has more weapons than that. Here is a more accurate review:
Graphics: bad
Sound: ok
Controls: ok
Plot: it follows the movie ok
Variety: ok, but it would have been fun with a pod racer level and a level where you control Jar-Jar-Binks and some more light saber moves for Qui Gon and Obi Wan.
Conclusion: An ok game for a star wars fan but if you are not a star wars fan this game sucks monkey balls!

I have this game!I beated it it.If you want to beat it,make sure you save a lot!Especially on the last level where as obi-wan,you jump on those platforms.
i used to have this game for ps1 when i was 12 or 13 but the cd got broken about 8 years ago. luckily i recently went to a used game store and bought it and it's alot of fun just like back then. my fave part is the desert level because i can make qui gon go on a killing spree. lol.

This game doesn't seem all that bad of graphics considering how old it is. The graphics and interactions between characters are awsome but the lightsaber combat is pretty weak.

I remember when I got this game for pc on christmas when i was a kid, back then it was considered to have great graphic, and had never played a game like it. it was very hard at some places, and I died ALOT, and the game chrashed several times and i also got stuck at the tatooine part, but man this game was really great!!! =)
I certainly liked this game. I can't believe that this guy is complaining about feeble things. Oh! The lightsabers look bad. Well considering that it was PS1 I can't complain too much. Oh! The jumping was too hard . . . what are you even serious with that statement? I thought the puzzles where a nice touch to the tradition hack and smash games. Mindless blowing up and killing, bah! Tatoonie was the best level in this game for its rpg elements, the jumps were easy how the hell could you have trouble with them?

i used to have this game for ps1 when i was 12 or 13 but the cd got broken about 8 years ago. luckily i recently went to a used game store and bought it and it's alot of fun just like back then. my fave part is the desert level because i can make qui gon go on a killing spree. lol.

I was surprised at how much rpg element it had in it via speaking to people which is rare in any star wars game other than kotors.

This game doesn't seem all that bad of graphics considering how old it is. The graphics and interactions between characters are awsome but the lightsaber combat is pretty weak.

I played this when it came out..and I didn't like it much either....
and this review is pretty much like "wow this sucks"
at least they kinda remade this game with the Lego Star Wars....which was amazing, IDC what you think. xD

I remember when I got this game for pc on christmas when i was a kid, back then it was considered to have great graphic, and had never played a game like it. it was very hard at some places, and I died ALOT, and the game chrashed several times and i also got stuck at the tatooine part, but man this game was really great!!! =)

I certainly liked this game. I can't believe that this guy is complaining about feeble things. Oh! The lightsabers look bad. Well considering that it was PS1 I can't complain too much. Oh! The jumping was too hard . . . what are you even serious with that statement? I thought the puzzles where a nice touch to the tradition hack and smash games. Mindless blowing up and killing, bah! The golden age of Star Wars is in this game. 10 out of 10 for me personally.

Ive got to admit,
This is my fav play station game.
Better than any ps2 or ps3 games.
And yes, it is under-rated.
Btw -
I bought if from my local market for £1.
Tbh i was expecting it to be £10.
So yeah, visit your market for this game!

played it so often, and still think i could give it a new try!
Never played after that another Star Wars game which brought back the original Episode 1 movie-feeling like this one, even though it wasn't following the exact movie story. I even thinks its better that way.
