  • Nice work!!!!

  • he isnt hitting the dog , its like a check chain they recognise the noise and react , and even if the man is giving the dog (boerboel )once in a while it hardens it to become the better guard dog than it already ,xx

  • Harsh? How so.

  • bit harsh but shows how much the dog will do 4u xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • My computer is down but when I get it back l'll shoot you a video link and thanks for your kind words.

  • Lovely dog. I like him. Big powerhouse. How did he do with the hog test?

  • Excellent video! hes a great looking Boerboel how old is he?

  • The title of the video is "Schutzhund 1 protection training Boerboel" which should be a clue. As to your second question, why not.

  • boerboel or presa? why?

  • Did this dog ever get the 1?

  • He got a Sch H "A" which as you may know has the same routines as a Sch H1 but without the tracking. The obedience and protection are identical to the Sch H1. As you can see from my tracking videos he was tracking a Sch 1 track but I, like an idiot put to much pressure on him one day and from that day on he was not reliable on the track. I'm use to training GSD's and forgot for one minute and that's all it took.

  • Amazing Dog!!!

  • Thank you for your kind words. Norman

  • Great video, this dog is working. He looks like he has some good stability in his working temperament.

  • He loved protection work and in fact was to stable, if that is possible. He could have used a little more social aggression but I didnt want to make a 140 pound to suspicious as I live in a neighborhood with kids coming in and out all day. Ill send you a private video of him doing some catch work in an effort to gauge that instinct. We tried it with a pink pig because if he didnt have any desire to catch or did but did instinctively know how to catch properly I didnt want him opened up. NE

  • What a very impressive dog.

    Great work.

  • Thanks for your kind words, now I have to find a plastic surgeon to remove all of those whip marks on his back. LOL

  • arsehole !!! when i come back as a dog one day i will bite your fuckin baw bag off you fuckt up tosser !!!!!!!

you hit my borb like that id fuckin kill you u freak !!!!!!!

  • Hey ass

He is not hitting the dog.

  • The purpose of the whip is to make a loud crack so that the dog learns not to be intimidated or threatened by sudden loud noises.

Usually it is best to just use google before launching into a tirade against someone from a position of ignorance. All you have to do is open another tab and look it up and you could have saved yourself all this embarrassment.

My own dog is a rescue Corso, a neglect case, and schutz training has helped him develop confidence and become a happy dog.

    This is not abuse.

  • You understand nothing about the intent of the whip. You should not judge until you understand. You are simply ignorant.

  • spartanmikek,

where did you get your puppy. I live in Arizona too, and I'd like to get a boerboel, but I didn't think we had any breeders here.

  • David Harris of Harris Ranch Boerboels in Kansas he IMO is the best breeder because has been breeding WORKING Boerboels for over 10 years and test all of his breed stock on his working cattle ranch. Sorry about the delay but I don't get to the comment section very often. Norman

  • OK.. *NOW* you've hurt my feelings...

    >;^P

  • I live in Chandler, Arizona. My Boerboel just turned 9 weeks old and I am trying to decide what to train him in. I would like to get him titled in some professional trainig and I am researching the different venues to choose from. I really admire the work you have done with your Boerboel. The fact that he is trained not only in Shutzhund but has passed the TDI therapy test as well is something that I would like to accomplish. That shows what a well rounded dog he is.

  • I own a Boerboel and I just wanted to let you know that I am tremendously impressed with your dog and the training it has recieved from you. It is an awesome dog, in awesome shape, and it is perfectly trained. Strong work sir.

  • Thank you for your kind words. Where do you live and for what venue are you training your BB. He is far from a perfect BB as all have there issues but he is biddable and has handled the pressures of training well. Norman Epstein

  • It's to see the dog is perfectly trained!! But my point is dont show this public cause well you know what I mean! Specific test? try to get in a fenced Boerboel @night and get out of there in one piece.

  • Totally wrong breed for this sport!!

  • I agree but what's your point. By the way in lieu of that test, could you direct me to the breed specific test for the Boerboel. It might be good for you to know that this dog has passed the TDI therapy dog test and has done therapy work. So how IYO has this training hurt him.

  • It's to see the dog is perfectly trained!! But my point is dont show this public cause well you know what I mean! Specific test? try to get in a fenced Boerboel @night and get out of there in one piece.

  • A good eye notices that the dog is in perfect shape and enjoying himself! But I don't think this is good for the breed. It still isn't a breed and with these pictures it wont get any easier.

  • Sir a Boerboel is supposed to be biddable how can you test that in a back yard. Just having a dog that is aggesssive is no big deal in fact there are many of those at the pound. A Boerboel is supposed to be athletic how can you accurately quantify movement in a back yard. No there is no breed specific test because many of the favorite sires would not pass it. Norman

  • OMG! I was a Joke!

  • It's not a sport, it's a job. This is a working dog in training.

  • Wrong dog? What do you mean? Will the average boerboel compete against a Working line GSD or Mal....no most likely not but not everyone who goes into schutzhund is looking for a National Championship. This is a great chance to bond with the dog, teach the dog a lot of good self-control and have fun too.

  • @amstaffer What do you mean will the average Boerboel compete a working GSD?? Actully the Boerboel was bred for work but not sheep work like the GSD's origional perpose, but what is was bred for it is the best in it's class and that is protecting the ivestock and owners from lion's, hyena's, etc.

  • That was awesome

  • Nice! :)
