It does taste very mild soury, sometimes, people won't notice even due to added sugar....but just one suggestion, when you try, try with small amount and see if it works for you...
Most icings are prepared with egg white...egg yolks are seperated out and then liquid part of egg is beaten till it gets fluffy white and then mixed with cream, butter and sugar...icing made with egg can be kept for many days in referigerator..

1 cup soft butter or shortening
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 cups powdered sugar (sifted)
4 tablespoons milk
Beat together butter and vanilla for 30 seconds medium speed with an electric mixer. Add 2 cups of powdered sugar a bit at a time while beating. Then add 2 tablespoons milk. Slowly add in the rest of the powdered sugar and the rest of the milk until you get the right thickness for your frosting.
And I am going to post more icing/frosting recipe on my website as I try them. I usually prefer cream based since it's not too sweet for kids. Butter icing is just butter and more sugar so it's too sweet which i don't prefer for my kids..

If the weather condition is cool, cake stays good for a day or so but if you use any dairy product, I always prefer referigerating...

1 lb. semisweet chocolate, finely chopped 6 Tbsp. Dutch-process cocoa powder 6 Tbsp. boiling water 1.5 cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter, softened 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar, sifted Pinch of salt
