The unsung hero here is The Professor, EDDIE LUSK, on keys, R.I.P He was the leader & helped Otis Rush for years, as well as Phil Guy, Luther Allison, and a ton of others. The glue that made it all come together. I'm just sayin as I knew the cat!

OH YES!!!been lookin for THIS song.. when Luther sang this live in South Bend, he took everyone with him..We all went out on that road.. he never looked back! He is havin better times now, can you diggit! I asked him IF he was really at a crossroads...and he said oh yeah. He was gone a few short months later. Wonder what he meant, I think he knew.
Best damn blues show I EVER have seen live was the late Luther Allison. He worked so hard, he must have sweated out a gallon. And, he loved to run his long cord and run around the whole bar (Cabooze). Those were the days, man. Kids now don't have anything like it.
I really felt bad at his passing - In minneapolis and at the cabooze bar he would meet you at the door with his 100+ foot cord for his guitar; welcome you - ask you how you were and (on occasion) ask where your girlfriend was. LOL God awfully - it was the best music I have ever heard in Minneapolis
It's hard to believe that only 2 years earlier, SRV was booed at Montreux Jazz Fest because crowd didn't understand electric blues... now they loved it 2 yrs later! This line-up was a killer! Unfortunately, Otis and Luther have left the building but are not forgotten.
Like ComicCon, Blues lovers need a convention annually to connect with others who love all that is soul, blues, jazz ans just plain "old" good music!!

I bet the rhythm guitarist (is it Phil Guy?) was wishing they'd look round at him and go "take it one time..."
Great playing, love Otis's tone best.

I was at that concert, 9th July 1986 at the Montreaux Jazz Festival. The video can not tell the whole story of what happened that night.

@av8torboy Hey Otis Rush isn't dead. He's been sick for the last couple of years and has retired, but he's still alive and kicking.
