  • @PurpleHaze1824 I'm just some Asian 13 year old but,I love how Percee P doesn't try to come out on top and shove his name everywhere, like at the end of his rap battle re-match with Lord Finesse back in 89' They still shook hands. I agree with you, about all the other rappers too.

What I love about this video is that out of all this chaos, you see little bits and pieces of goodness. and through all of it mixed together, chaos, poverty, love, stealing, sharing, rebelliousness and so forth, we got something as beautiful as Hip Hop.

Oh and yes, Percee P ripped the hell out of this beat.

  • ILLLLL!

  • sick ghetto

  • not hip hop? this is a lyrical man slaughter over a killer madlib beat featuring a video of the land that birthed hip hop..

  • @superlyrical1987 even krs in it.

  • you act like you know wat hip hop is. hip hop is about innovation, and innovation is about experimentation, this is a very experimental beat, with very experimental rhymes that test the norm heavily.

  • 1:12 - 1:16..listen to him spit n watch his hand movements..thats gotta be him

  • sample is goblin - snip snap

  • wat movie is that?

  • Not a movie, just scenes from New York City (The Bronx) in the late 70's and 80's.

HAHAHA, completely different world now, the kids around now in NY that were just born in the 80's and after that couldn't even imagine an environment like this

  • AWESOME

  • Put it all on the line like laundry.

  • Why is everybody sauing thatr corn rolls were not popular in 1970's ?

  • Give it up for the real music !

  • who has a better flow

    Big Pun?or

    Percee P?

  • thats based on personal opinion its too bad puns not around to lay down some tracks with percee theres a video on utube with p and fat joe and i wish it was him and pun instead woulda been a crazy cypher

  • true man, true.

  • Big Pun

  • nah, styles are different,

you simply like puns better, i like Ps better, both great

  • i miss this new york i once knew

not the one we got now

where everybody stays inside the house all day and dont do nothing

the problem is technology....back then they found the simplest things to have fun with

rapping.....barbecues....playing sports.....dancing....shooting dice....basketball....always outside....never inside...and it used to be an all day process

we were all poor so we did things like this....but now u go to new york theres almost barely anybody out for a BIG CITY

  • that can go for any city though honestly and don't forget a lot of reasons it aint like that any more is cuz yall ass can get shot rapping.....at a BBQ.... playin' pick up hoops....shootin' dice....Cats don't know how to act.

As for the song. This is a dope ass video. That footage is cool as hell and PERCEE P MURKED IT!!

  • VENVILE you cant forget them niggas from duckdown son..... buckshot so forth oh yea heltah skeltah mf doom man the list goes on..

  • Word! Niggaz like Sean P, Craig mack, damn...so much to name.

  • Putain de bon rap!Un putain de très bon rappeur et un excellent producteur et voilà le résultat:de la bombe!!!

  • This is the best song and video in hiphop EVER.

  • anybody know any other rappers on percees level such as papoose, pun etc.

  • Papoose aint no where near Percee's level. Ppl closer may have to be Celph Titled, RA the Rugged Man, Esoteric or somethin

  • only other mc that comes to mind right now that's on percee's level is Kool G Rap and that's about it

  • Oh shit, how can I forget KGR. The nigga's a pioneer for Hip Hop and innovator. Thanks

  • you forgot Reks.

  • Lord Finesse

    Big L (Deceased)

    The Artifacts (Crew)

    Herb Mcgruff

    all diferent styles though

  • this is the opposite of that emo-rap shit that's slowly spreading around (thanks Kanye!).

    RAP MUSIC WITH BALLZ!!!

DAMN THIS IS GRIMEY AND DOPE!!!

  • Comment removed

  • phat track

    SMOKE1

    de te gekke gast!!!

  • WHAT THE FUCK?

    madlib kills man...

  • Nice 4x listening and counting! Wheres the instrumental!?

    -Stosa!

  • whaaat?!

  • Im sick of ppl naming Lil (shit stain) wayne the best 'rapper' alive, its 100% the legendery lethal lyricist, Percee P, no one can match his freestyle ability and as for his flow, its untouchable, NUFF RESPECT!

  • freestyle? shit aint even from the top, but he is one of the best, flawless flow,

  • Real talk. When it comes to lyricism; I name Killah Priest, Canibus, Jus Allah, GZA, Rakim, Pharaoh Monch...somebody help me out...I can't think of no one else right now. I'm taling real lyrical here(So Monch barely makes it)

When it comes to flow we got; Percee P, Tech 9, Bizzy Bone, Celph Titled, Jus Allah, Inspekta Deck, MJG, Kool G Rap, MF Doom, RA The Rugged Man, Royce 5'9, Sean Price...

Excuse me, I just felt like typing that. But yeah, Percee has 1 of d tightes flows, if not the tightest!

  • pharoahe monch not that lyrical?

u never heard organized konfusion i take it?

  • Monch is a beast, don't get me wrong, but when you put him up against folks like Priest, Bis, Percee...he ain't THAT lyrical.

  • it all comes down to personal opinions, but if you look at a ton of Monch's old stuff, the content matter and the way he poetically expressed it was the first in it's class and the best by far. He's still raw too. I just saw him last summer and he was as real as always. But yeah, I feel you, the list you mentioned are all beasts. If you haven't heard em tho, i suggest u check out Organized Konfusion. Peace man.

  • Like that other cat said--you obviously haven't heard enough Organized Konfusion.

  • i was gonna say the same thing, with or without organized konfusion!

  • Ill Bill and Jise one for flow as well. Absoloutely immaculate. Lyrically I'd add Jehst, Nas, Cormega, AZ and probably Kamachi (to an extent).

  • "lil' Wayne rapper"? Sounds like a oxymoron...

  • much respect

  • RA The Rugged Man is DOPE . But Percee P's style is called compound rappin so his style is more comparable to Big Pun or AZ

  • thats alot of heavy hitters you mentioned 4 of the best in my opinion

  • Shit is Straight RAW Illness....

  • REAL HIP HOP, boogie down bronx!!!!!!

  • cool

  • reminds me of me 10 years from now

  • dope

  • That's It!

  • One of the most underrated MC's of all time, seriously I never heard anyone flow like Percee P.

  • in quality yes, but i dont hear P's flow and think R.A.

  • are you nuts percee flow is realy diffent to rugged mans
