I reviewed the fight. Pacman has more punches but not that clean. Sure thing if he's landed a good jab, Marquez will kiss the canvass. I was so disappointed for both of them and I thought the fight would be better than their 2nd fight. Both of them are playing safe especially Marquez. Pacman has the advantage coz he's the Champion.. SO much of this already move on Pacman and Marquez fans!

@planetserpo all i say....pacman just proved to not be the boxer he is hyped for....when i saw pacman fight mosely i knew marquez can easily beat pacman, and he did! pacman could not ko mosely when he was just standing right in front of him to get hit....why couldnt he ko him? pacman is done and if he fights mayweather that will be pacmans 2nd lost in a row...regardless of what the judges will say!!!

Haha so it's about Compubox. Marquez landed the cleaner, sharper punches, everyone knows that, he imposed his style, his pace, and made Pacquiao look clueless during many episodes of the fight. But I think Marquez made a mistake by throwing the last 2 rounds.
And of course Filipinos are gonna brag about the gift, about everything Pac and Nonito accomplish, you people need yo remember these are the guys with the SMALLEST JOHNSONS in the world!

Haha, pacquiao face was untouched? i think his busted lip would tell you a different story. Watch the fight again, count how many times pacquiao had his head whipped back. And of course Marquez was going backwards, HE'S A COUNTERPUNCHER! Pacquiao was unable to land good combinations and was often kept off balance due to marquez's defence and footowrk. This clip clearly highlights that the majority of pacquiao fans don't know how to score fights. Compubox don't mean shit on the judges scorecards. Let this be a lesson to those uneducated boxing fans... Fights are scored on 4 categories
1. "effective" aggression
2. Defense
3. Ring generalship
4. Clean and hard punching.
Marquez had the best defence. Landed the cleaner, harder punches. Ring generalship was equal and all of pacquiao's aggression wasn't exactly effective. Clear win Marquez.

1. Even with a style disadvantage, Manny landed more power shots, proving his aggression was indeed "effective".
2. If you call running away all night good defense then maybe Marquez won this category.
3. Manny danced around Marquez all night and was moving to 3 or more places consecutively whilst landing solid shots.
4. All you have to do is look at Marquez's battered faced compared to Paquito's to see who landed the cleaner, harder shots.

@darvlaskie You don't need to look at compubox to see that Pacquiao landed more shots. Marquez barely threw anything for the last four rounds. Pacquiao forced and made the fight while Marquez backed off all night. As Lederman said, when the punches are even or close to even, you've got to score based on other qualities, and those qualities were Pacquiao's energy, ring movement, and aggression.

@darvlaskie Marquez's punches were cleaner but that's the only category he won in. He landed less of them and he's not as good a puncher a Pacquiao. So he got hit more with harder punches and spent the majority of the fight on the back foot. Wasn't a robbery.

He demolished Barrera while Marquez got a gift against Barrera. He destroyed Morales twice, who Marquez ducked. Marquez lost to feather-fisted Chris John. Meanwhile Pacquiao destroyed big guys like Margarito and Cotto who would have been real problems for Marquez at their size. Clottey would have easily beaten Marquez.

@10carolinaa It's not about acceptance, sweetie. The fight was way too close to be called a robbery. I was in the MGM and there were so many boos because there were so many Mexicans and Marquez simply did far better than anyone expected, making another very close fight on a very high level instead of getting stopped half way through. If you look at the fight objectively and score it round by round, you'll see it was not one-sided at all. Personally, I had it 115-113 Pacquiao.
