  • That t-shirt would be 1000% cooler if, instead of "never forget," it said... wait for it... Bud Nipping!

  • Sweet

  • It goes in this order: super easy - easy - medium - hard - "Slash" - insane - Eddie Van Halen -Guitar God - Brad Paisley

  • Sounds like a Liverpool 30 with a bad tube.

  • It's a g bender on this guitar. Just so yall know lol

  • SOUNDS GOOD TO ME GOOD JOB TOOL BAG

  • does he have a b bender? or is he just tweaking the neck at 4:23

  • @frylocdub yes he has a b bender. on some of his guitars he has both a b and a g bender

  • Brad rox...Z man is da man....and I know we wont forget to tip our hat to the late great Ken F...

  • oH HELL YEAH SICK!!!!!!

  • insane punch!

  • WOW!

  • Brad Paisley's a rare breed. He writes his number one singles, sings them very well, can really act the parts in his music videos, garners and handles mainstream success and fame with ease, ect. A real superstar.

Just when you think that's all, you realize all those blistering, insane country, jazz, and blues guitar solos with that searing hot tone to die for, well...it's him playing them.

  • His new book 'A Player's Diary' is really good.

    Nice guy...great player!

  • ur gay homo thats not even you you gay tryhard with a guitar

  • Sick.

  • my oh my - what tone what a player - off to practice and save for a z wreck

  • BRAD IS SO OVER-TONED!! I DONT LIKE HIM I WILL SMOKE HIM ON A GUITAR ANY DAY!!

  • @JackDawsonRMS I'm gonna have to call bull shit on that one, because if you actually could play better than Brad you would have some videos of you on here playing, but you don't. So I'm just gonna go on and say that Brad Paisley could kick your ass on a guitar any day of the week.

  • @fenderbender256 UM NO, NO I WOULDN'T....AND YES, YES I CAN! WE BATTLED IT OUT ABOUT 8 OR 9 YEARS AGO IN NASHVILL AT THE RAY'S FEST! HE STOPPED HALFWAY THROUGH SAYING, "HAHA WOW MAN I GOT NOTHIN', I REALLY DON'T HAHA". IT WAS FUN JAMMING WITH HIM THOUGH.

  • @JackDawsonRMS Well then get a video of you playing some licks and prove to me about how good your skills are, but until then don't comment me back.

  • @fenderbender256 IF I FIND TIME TO DO THAT THEN I WILL!! ...UNTIL THEN DONT COMMENT ME BACK

  • @JackDawsonRMS if you could play as good as you say you can you wouldn't have to make time because playing guitar for a living is probably all you'd be doing.

  • @JackDawsonRMS brad says he takes it easy easy on people that are less of a player than him

  • @JackDawsonRMS your jealous your after attention brad is one of the best country player in the world you dont have a recording contract he does

  • @85funnyguy BRAD DOES NOT...DOES NOT HAVE A CONTRACT BECAUSE OF HIS ABILITY TO KILL IT ON A TELE. HE IS A POP COUNTRY ARTIST, HIS KILLER PLAYING IS JUST THE ICEING ON THE CAKE!

  • @JackDawsonRMS the guitar is a big part of that contract

  • @85funnyguy KEEP TELLIN' YOURSELF THAT

  • @JackDawsonRMS KEEP TELLING YOUR SELF YOUR BETTER THAN ONE OF THE BEST COUNTRY PLAYERS IN THE WORLD WHICH ONE SOUND MORE LIKE BULLSHIT YOU TELL ME

  • @85funnyguy IM JUST TROLLING DUDE RELAX. ITS HARD OUT HERE FOR A TROLL

  • Brad show me how ta play like dat Ill show you how ta catcha bass.

  • The surf song is a tune called Turfs Up off his instrumental album- Play.

  • What is the surf style song at 3:57??

  • @inzehambay4 Ok nevermind found it.

  • @inzehambay4 Working on a Tan maybe?

  • @inzehambay4 He's just playing over Am, F, E7 in the "surf style" as you've said. It's not a specific song, but that 'triplet melody' reminds me of Apache by the Shadows. Check that song out if you're not familiar.

  • @inzehambay4 its "turf's up". off the 'play' album.

  • I don't understand how he gets his tele bridge p/u to sound bell tone but still cut through so nicely!!!! Blender pot!!!!!!!! And a treb bleed cap wired in I bet!!!!!!! Bahahahaha u can't fool me mr paisley:)

  • And for 5,000 dollars that could all be yours.

  • Way to make me feel "inadequate"...jerk LOL

  • I just love this amp because it's like it adapts to your playing style. I played a strat through it into a Z-best and I got so many tones out of it just by the style that I played, without even touching the the tone controls. I do love flipping between the comfort and speed settings though.

  • His music is thee best, there's no one out there that I have heard that can do half the stuff that he can. Probably because I was born on country, But you look at Eddie Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Peter Frampton, Eric Clapton. He is there with of them, and all his 8 albums, every single song is good. You can't tell me that there's at least one that you said oh this one is alright. Lol

  • It makes me so sad that I can't really stand the majority of his music when he plays this well, his instrumental work is so fucking phenomenal.

  • brad has that comcast gel stuff or something

  • If he practices a bit more he might get somewhere.

  • I would do horrible things to play like that...

  • I love his country playing, but I'd love to see him just haul off and do an epic rock or blues solo or something. I get the feeling he can do A TON more than what he shows.

  • @samjad1 have you not listened to "Play" ?

  • @nicholasczapiewski evidently not...i'll have to check it out! Thanks!

  • ...da' gone son....go browns!

  • People ask why I have respect for country music. Here ya go. I don't even like most country. But you still gotta give em respect.

  • @thetail2010 I'm with you on that one. I used to HATE country music. The truth is, the best guitarists around right now are country players. Brad Paisley and Keith Urban are both amazing players.

  • @thetail2010 He plays so well. I just can't listen to his music. I've tried, it just doesn't work for me. That tone is so good.

  • @tatsandteles Yeah. I just can't really do country. I respect em because everybody is like, "Oh, well, they don't have any crazy rediculous solos in their songs. So they have no talent." But anyone who has seen this video can attest that they DO, in fact, have LOTS of talent. Haha. And I love the tone. Wish I had more money and time =/

  • I didnt hear a bad sound. Great demo!!

  • Awesome technique. So cool to watch because it just showed me one of his secrets (and I guess a lot of the pickers out there): he uses his middle and ring fingers in a lot of those super fast runs to jump up to the G, B, and high E strings. Can't wait to start practicing.

  • @superduperlouber of course he does. it's no secret, it's called hybrid picking ;-)

  • These Nashville guys (Brad, Brent Mason, Vince Gill, etc... etc...) are just in a whole 'notha dimension of guitar playing. It's insane.

  • BIG SHOUT OUT TO SEAN F!

(no idea but he owns the case behind Brad)

4:00 that old western theme sounded kick ass!

  • the last two licks are "brad" ass

  • @pantsareforpansies turf's up!

  • Whos this guy?Can you get these amps at radio shack? They sound pretty good.Next time you need to find some one that knows how to play to demo your amps.

  • @spanky2964 Ha!

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome! Can I get that tabbed?

  • that was just fantastic to watch - Brad you kick ass, and that amp is awesome.....nice Tele too!

  • Ok, who has the TAB? haha

  • In a million years, Line 6, Boss, TC, etc will never ever model this tone. The average person may not be able to tell, but we guitar players can "feel it".

  • Yeah, it's the amp that's amazing.

  • @BIGCAL50CAL the man, the guitar, the sound, the amp!! All of it is amazing.

  • I have this video on my favorites bar so i just click on it whenever i wanna get on youtube, and no matter how bad i want to hurry up and watch another video i always seem to get brain washed into watching this video all the way through. It's that amazing

  • What a complete badass.

    Absolutely stunning guitarist.

  • Just put a Tubescreamer in front of a Stangray??

  • Lovin' that fat tone, & I always said Brad didn't get the props he deserved for his picking. He's a beast. I'd love to see him & Albert Lee together for an extended show.

  • Fenders sound better than the z-wreck? That's like comparing apples and oranges. One doesn't necessarily sound better than the other...it's just what you prefer. And last time I checked Fender never made an EL84 based amp.

  • @rocknrollchicago345 Blues Junior immediately comes to mind, tiny but kick ass!!

  • @rocknrollchicago345 Ummm, Blues Jr.?

  • MIC?

  • @PATOFIX2000 If your asking what mic is on the cab its a Royer R121 Ribbon Mic. And looks like a Shure ribbon mic.

  • MIC?

  • He said the amps amazing I think it is he that is amazing, what a player!

  • Nice job Mike .....Bob Marsh

  • wow does he have a big dong too ,writes his own songs married to a moviestar, edits video ,can paint and draw ,can sing whew !!!!! Abe lincoln lied !all men were not created equal !!! lol if he's got a big wang im lookin him up and starting a fight !! lol ,>>yeah im jealous !!! the playing is just sick .....bastard !! lol

  • The run at 2:02 was pretty sick

  • Comon!! Somebody help me! Is that like a mid boost that he has on his volume knob or what??

  • Ear candy.

  • fender amps sound better, just sayin.... the clean pluckage.....nothing like it......gets loud enuf where you can hear it behind you.... 18 watts just aint enuf for me.

  • You'd be surprised at how loud the 18 watters get. If you're a country player, and mike your setup, these things are great for onstage. I like the grit that the Z's have that the Fenders don't, but yes, the Fenders do have nice clean tone.

  • @zaigar111 yeah, im just jealous cause i don't have one! lol...

  • Holy Shit at 6:06 to around 6:11

  • mi idolo!!!! asi quiero tocar como el ...

  • This cat can scratch. Nothing sounds so sweet as a FATTY Telecaster janglin through on of those Z amps.

  • And that's how it's done, son.

  • Sounds almost as good as my savage

  • What does he have a midrange-boost that he's hitting? Like around 1:22 or so?

  • Dislikes are typically jealous guitar players who can't appreciate improvisation, or his unorthidox playing. Being a guitar player from Texas.. I've had some conversations with some players here who didn't care for his playing.. That's the 'old school' players that can't appreciate his kick ass playing, usually... Guess who's laughing all the way to the bank?? Yeppers..

  • @zaigar111 Britney Spears?

  • I find it shocking that four people actually don't like this...I mean, this video's got great gear, great guitar work and great tone. What is there about this video to not like?

There are some crazies on the Internet--that's for sure.

  • @badfinger848 There are people that just dislike to be dicks.

  • Im in Jr High and it seems like ill never have enough $ for one of the puppies!

  • its interesting hearing the jazzy stuff at 3:20. pure virtuosity

  • Dr. Z Tone. Paisley. Amazing.

  • Great stuff. I'm gonna sit down and figure some of these cool, Albert Lee style licks out tomorrow. I need some inspiration. Also gotta check out these amps, I live 20 min. from Z and have never tried one. Awesome stuff.

  • Does Dr Z have a uk/European distributor? BP is one gifted player. Quite incredible. His Guitar album is something to behold. Every aspiring (and accomplished) guitar player should have a copy

  • matt has a nash tele

  • it takes utter talent and pure skill to be able to play like brad but also write great music

  • brad paisley absolutely shredssss on guitar

  • how is the recording setup on this? is he in stereo? are those two separate amps hes plugged in to? i must know! if anyone knows please tell me!!!!

  • @birdboy5681 The top head-looking thing is the Z-Verb, which is only a reverb box. The signal goes like this: guitar > zverb > amp. From what I can see in the pic, the cab is mic'd with a single Royer ribbon microphone. But I think what you are hearing is just audio captured from the camera.

  • this is just awesome awesome tone (that Dr Z!) and magnificent playing - anybody who plays guitar should watch this - it doesn't get any better

  • sweet lord... brad paisley is incredible

  • WOW....this guy plays soooo well!!!

  • Who does he play with?

  • @rgj51876 dude, it's brad paisley. He's plays for himself.

  • tone taste and velocity

  • Sounds decent, better than most, but still a bit nasally for me. Its not the tele...my friend plays a different model Z with a Humbucking Tom Anderson and it sounds the same.

  • great sound!!

  • has anyone tried to tab any parts of it. sounds cool to learn!

  • what is the name of the song at 4:00?

  • @cap217cap217 that song is called "turfs up" off his album "play" check it out, its a great song, and a great album! :)

  • @cap217cap217 OMG i want to know also

  • GOD!! how can i get this tone on my marshall?? please? some similar settings?

    thank's :)

    ps: i have a tele

  • @Mrr3nato sell it and buy a Z thats how ..........then theres of course the "touch" ......

  • @Bunn4Funn

    xD ok

  • @Mrr3nato lol

  • guthrie trapp kills this guy

  • That's the impressive thing about Brad Paisley, he's got all these mainstream songs you hear on the radio all the time but then you realize when you put a guitar in his hands he can run just about any player off the stage. The guy is just a monster seen him 4 times and what a talent.

  • Holy cow!!! This vid is ear candy of the highest quality.

  • I don't even like country music put Brad is a Hell of a player. And that is a Hell of an amp.

  • Im putting my guitar gear up for sale! That is sick!!! Love that picking!

  • dr z can i ask how the z verb connects to the z wreck ,cant see any loop on the wreck ,so is it in the front end of the amp ,with your guitar in the verb first????

  • no flippin effects! awesome!

  • i'm just browsing c.l listening to this in background and could listen all day, was pissed when it was over

  • i want a zwreck!!!

  • Well.. that's it. I'm quitting guitar...

  • @Rehabescapie420 when somebody plays well it should inspire you to play better not quit

  • @MrHollydaye Hes joking but obviously you dont know that lol

  • @LukeHeavyshield Who is hes? HAHAHAHAH JK, but hey maybe i was joking, but then again you wouldn't know that.

  • @MrHollydaye Reading your comment before it didnt sound like you were joking, If you were then you would have put a "Lol". Then we would know your joking ;) . But i was replying to your comment who you replied to Rehabescapie420. lol

  • @MrHollydaye

Well put man...it comes with age and practice....keep at er'

  • @Rehabescapie420 I would do just about anything to play remotely as good as this. This guy is so good at guitar. Country picking is ridiculously difficult. Definitely trying to work on it, but its not freaking easy...

  • if you like this guy, check Danny Gatton out.

  • Comment removed

  • @jaysterdude it is actually a song called Turf's Up from his album Play in 2008

  • is the z verb an amp or effect?

  • @gamergeek3000 it's a reverb unit ,like the old fender units of the 60's it's in it's own head box

  • what kind of strap is that?

  • Hey guys, what's the name of the song he started to play after 3:53? It's killer tone!

  • dang it this amp is amazing and Paisley did not hit a bad note in the entire video...the guy is a beast.

  • i think he meant to say "I'M just amazing" not the amp!! at the end lol

  • Incredible guitar player, incredible tone.

  • Wow. What a sick sounding amp. I want one.Brad is off da chain too.

  • Oh Lord I am soooo glad he has come back strong from the flood!!!!!!

  • Makes me wanted to cry, either the gear or the playing. This is why we play guitar.

  • Ok, this is just freaking INSANE. Come on, can't get any better with a tele.

  • I can do that. All of it. All day, every day. With PIZZAZZZZZ!!!

    He's great.

  • ALL DAY! I could watch him all day!

  • 2:06 is where its at!

  • I'd say the kid's coming into his own

  • all I can say is................WOW!! BP wails on this little slice of pickin' goodness! Anyone know if this video is available for download anywhere?

  • Dislikes, really?

  • Okay, B-bender is obviously in effect. Not-so-obvious: any BP fans aware of what he prefers in terms of pickups for his axes? I saw his tech give an interview, not aware of his pick-up faves. Little help?

  • @BuzzCrumhunger im not so sure about the b bender...of course then again...ive never actually heard one used..but im pretty sure he's using pure neck flex to drop the tone on his mini dives

  • @melonheed3 so ignore me i just looked up a b bender. i agree with you. also...b benders are retarded. LOL. but he makes it sound good.

  • @melonheed3 He only uses a G Bender, and, B Benders are not retarded. I have a B and a G on mine and find the B is extra-versatile.

  • @BuzzCrumhunger Adder rythym pickup and a Lindy frailin blues special bridge for most of his crook guitars his WVU telecaster had a Kinman 56 strat pickup and Broadcaster bridge all of his guitars have a 4 way switch using RS superpots and Vintage Disc Caps for the Crooks The tele hes playing in this video has Hamel pickups

  • Just curious, does anyone recognize the "surf guitar" sounding riff that Brad plays at 3:55? Is this a song or is he just noodling? This guy is just incredible, I have become an instant fan on account of his fluidity on the guitar.

  • @danielrodgerson .. tracks called turfs up , off his album play

  • @danielrodgerson Thanks man, I'm going to check that track out.

  • That's all fine-and-well - but can he play a barre chord? :)

    YIKES!!

  • how would this amp take distortion pedals, wampler pinnacle fulltone ocd boss metalzone?
