It wasnt easy for vicious conspirators to infiltrate the leaders of Europe back then, since the entire european royality was watching you and they only accepted other royals =)
Today its easier than ever. Probably why Europe is dying now.
'sigh'
Europe will most likely never regain it former glory.
@TheSecretNymph I believe we are talking about Russia here, not England? Sure Kate is a duchess, of UK, that is. Olga Alexandrovna (Nicholas II's youngest sister) can be identified as the last Grand Duchess of Russia, not Anastasia Nikolaevna, his daughter. Anastasia was the last one born of Nicholas' daughters. Olga Alexandrovna was his sister and the last one to die of the legitimate Russian Grand Duchesses. There is no legal Grand Duchess in Russia as of today if you base it on the Salic Law.
@TheSecretNymph and btw, Kate is not a Grand Duchess but just a Duchess. Grand Dukes and Duchesses are higher than royal princes and princesses because they are the children of Imperial Highnesses, not Royal Highnesses.
@86443 i hope differently, can you possibly imagine to see all of your family executed, and for you to be the only survivor. Its wouldve been horrible
@86443 but thenif she had escaped she would have the psychological damge of seeing her family murdered in front of her and beaten to death. not to mention she would be an orphan, i know she was 17 but it would still affect her badly.
@lukeallcock2 That's a very good point. For the sake of arguement, let's just say that Anastasia HAD escaped from being excecuted along with her family. Assuming that she had witnessed the entire ordeal, she would mentally be very "messed up". Not to mention, her family was her whole world. Not to sound negative, but I think that it's SLIGHTLY comforting to know that the Romanov family died together, rather than having one of them live on to mourn the loss of their family, you know?
@CxHxRxIxSxTxIxAxN Well Anna Anderson was as you said mentally "messed up". I mean if per say Kate and William were king and queen of britian and they had kids. All of them were murdered except one daughter. Would you believe she was the daughter of the rulers of britian? Besides the whole test could've been a sham. So depending if you want to believe it one daughter of the last Czar of Russia survived there's a great posibility.

they are talking about Olga, who was living her last days in Canada; Anastasia, who I believe she escaped the horror, went to USA.
If people would listen, its clear in the documentary is been mentioned the name of Olga.......
