  • excellent wing chun..Very direct to what I am learning...

  • Cool!!

  • how much students does he train?

  • I love how is all of the applications of the technique forces the attacker to the outside thereby rendering his free arm useless. I've seen other Wing Chun vids where the block is to the inside and it doesn't make any sense since you have to then deal with a possible punch from the attackers free arm. Sifu Leung's approach doesn;'t allow for that

  • @majin2912 You got it !

  • This guy is good! Nice video, keep up the good work! Thumbs ups!

  • Not very often you see a wing chun demostration video with leg work and sweeps. Like to see the leg work and fast hands. Nice video.

  • What grace and skill, amazing.

I have about 3 yrs WC experience and I'm thinking of going OS to learn more. At first I thought to go to Gary Lam's school in LA, but perhaps I should go to Sifu Wan 's school in Hong Kong instead, but I'm worried that no one will speak English and I may not learn as well!

    Suggestions anyone???

  • @upaste Wan sifu doesn´t speak much english himself, but there are people in the school who can help you translate. I can highly recommend going there. He´s a really kind man, and a very skilled master.

  • @upaste, I have trained with Sifu Wan in HK and I only speak englsh. I can state that I learned a lot whilst training there and the language barrier was not really that bad. Plenty of his students speak enough english to translate and help with language. Also if you do go be friendly and talk to the other students there, they really love it when you spend time actually hanging with them!

  • @upaste Gary Lam is excellent as well. Wan Kam Leung is Gary Lam's older Kung Fu brother "dai si hing". As the comments stated above, Sifu Wan's school is accessible to foreigners.

  • @upaste Go to Hong Kong, you'll love it !

  • Wan Kam Leunog is Wong Shun Leunog's son not student.

  • @WCtrainer1 Fail.

  • @WCtrainer1 Wan Kam Leung was one of Wong Shun Leung's very first students, not his son. Though they share the name Leung, that is not the family name. Wan and Wong are the family names and Wong Shun Leung was only ten years older than Wan Kam Leung. Hope that clears it up, cheers!

  • Yeah fine but the guy he's training with is fucking crap. So you can't see much here except total domination of a rank beginner by someone very experienced, and the music blows, so video is not so good.

  • @bknives you should introduce your self to the guy that you said is crap, his name is Juergen and would happily have a conversation with you about the finer points of his technique and skill...

but a helpful tip would be to stand at the other end of the room when you do. He is one of Wan Sifu's senior students and a sifu of his school in Europe and his hands hold a good conversation. What you fail to see is just how fluid and powerful Wan Sifu and Practical Wing Chun is

  • @bknives, why don't you ask Jurgen for a lesson (the guy in the video) . I'm sure that he will show you a few things about WC!

Cause I know that he will demonstrate just how 'crap' he is if you ask nicely enough.

  • one of the rare nicer wing chun clips, notice the sifu (assuming the asian guy is) only ever counter moves the others actions but scores a landed hit everytime? Impecable reactions

  • wong shun leung produced damn good and unique fighter .....

am not from wsl lineage but i know they are good fighter

  • Why is the video sped up?

  • @gorfjorf2112112 It's not. He is much faster in real life.

  • The great thing about Wong's students is you can see the rock solid foundations in all of them like how graceful they look at doing it and with ease, you can instantly tell what lineage they are. Gary lam and Wan kam Leung are the best i have ever seen.

That's why i'm hooked on Wingchun.

  • Anyone know when he is back in the UK?

  • Very simple and direct, the way it should be.

  • He is so fast.

At 1:22... Oooh, man... So fast that when I finally catch where his hand is at, it's already down there.

    Very awesome videos!

  • Excellent WSLVT.

  • Brilliant WSLVT. Simple, direct, efficient.

  • This is the real essence of Wing Chun ,it will be even better if Master Wan could English, then people could learn more and directly, with many respect.

  • this guy likes chun kui upper cut punch.

  • 1:22 watch the hand motions there like 5times, and you'll see what is actually happening... holy shit.

  • I watched this bit more than 5 times and I still didn't get what happened

  • love it

  • Very good.

Obviously very wise too - runs a sound wing chun business and clearly dabbles with southern mantis on the side. Good job.

  • this man is a beast, many respects to a true sifu of cma.

  • Comment removed

  • some people are just too good! guess that is why they are masters.... :(

  • damn. somebody's been practicing sheez laweez.

  • he is 67 yrs old in 2009, I cant believe it, lightening speed and accuracy, motions are so refined and economical, simple and direct , presenting what VT should be. a pleasure to watch

  • I love this guy, a true Master. I firmly believe that the top 4, Leung Sheung, Lok Yui, and Wong Sheung Leung and their top students are even better than most of Yip Man's students after 1955! This Guy is Awsome.

  • amazing, its great to see this done at this level, ive seen a few and it was messy(not that i could do better)but when you see it done properly and advanced its awesome

  • Jeurgen (the guy he is demonstrating on) is a highly advanced practitioner in his own right. Master Wan is effortless. amazing.

  • I think this master must sleep on the center line, eat center line for breakfast, lunch and dinner and only tunes into the center line channel on TV! Nice vid. It's all about the center line ;-)

  • hahahhaha

  • @jasma98

there are 5 center lineS ;)

its absolutly basic, and these center lines are coming together infight. the better the fighter is the better this works, and then the fighter also controles the 4th line, which means he controlles his enemy and the fight.

  • we see things exactly the same. it's all about that 4th or bridging line thats where things happen, but it's important to note, that at the beginning of occupation of the 4th center line, there is a symetry which is what takes time to master taking advantage of and defending. i just do wing chun, but i think jkd is all about coming from out of distance and entering through that 4th line..

  • @235128hdhdjh you should lay off the crack

  • @jasma98 I think you know center line nothing. If you do Chi Sao with Wan Si Fu..Sure you will eat your center line concept..

  • @dragonlui I think Jasma meant no disrespect. He's saying Sifu WKL is a master of the centerline, being Sifu that should be a given!

  • @jasma98 No wonder, I believe his own master was called "king of the talking hands" & not for no reason;) This is so awesome!

  • nice

  • Kick Ass!!

  • Certainly better than a lot of stuff I've seen.

  • nice video!

  • thats finaly a great wc master the only i,ve seen on youtube. its the same way that i,ve learned. thank you for sharing this

  • @Gungfu1978 maybe he's your master's master?

  • WingChun! ;]

  • Thank you for sharing this!

  • wow, such speed and power from this man. He looks like a very good teacher

  • Bravo. These people are truly fortunate to know someone like this to share his kung fu with them.

  • This man is powerful!!!

  • sifu rules - you gotta love it

  • Metal for bones vs a normal human arm = Black and blue Bruises!

  • Real nice one. I would like to see more of WKL!

  • HA! love it love it love it - clean energy

  • Ha yu kan.... !!!!!

  • That old man is awesome!

  • FANTASTIC....those who have locked hands with our beloved Si-Fu know EXACTLY how German instructor Juergen Harlander feels in this video.Great to see my friend Juergen and Si-Fu demonstrating "First Class" Chi Sau...Cheers Danny (Australian WKLPWC)

  • Now that's real Chi Sau.
