@cabbagepixie the Apex 37 flyweight would be a good board for you. It's a great board for freestyle riding and can also handle some freeriding as well.
@oOBlackDaRippaOo it all depends on the type of riding you are looking to do and if you have experience or if you're a beginner. Thanks for providing us with your height and weight, but with a bit more info about you we can help you choose the right set up.
@oOBlackDaRippaOo Bumpy roads can be handled by larger, softer, wheels. You might want to look at the Freeride 38 (with non-Original trucks). Since your roads are really bumpy the bushing system is a slightly better match. You could certainly go with the Pintail 40 as an alternative, load some larger 70mm+ wheels on in a durometer (softness) of 80a or less.
@JERKYMAN97 I would suggest either the Apex 37 cruiser weight if you are looking into a high performance board, or the Pintail 46 for some great cruising around.
@ciscokid8893 well that depends. If they skateboarder beforehand (which a buttload of longboarders did, including me) then yes we could do shit. But why does that matter to you? You're obviously a skateboarder so leave longboarders to their own sport. Not hatin, I'm just saying that you don't need to comment stuff like that
I think a great board for you would be either the Malakai, Path or Apex 34, and I would suggest upgrading to the S8 Trucks for added stability and a smoother ride!
Hey guys, do you have a re-seller in Brazil?? I surf, and i really want to chek out your boards, but i just don´t find here in Brazil. (sorry about my english, i hope a could make myself clear, rsrs)
hey i am 5 ft 3 and i weigh 113 and want to buy a longboard for speed and a nice cruise. i really dont no anything about them yet but wat do u suggest?
i don't own a long board or have ever rode one but i have watched most of the videos on your channel and i think i would like to buy one and start because it looks so fun. im 5,4 and weigh 105 pounds. i also snow board so i was just wondering what board you recomend
I would recommend that if you can wait 3 - 4 weeks, go with the Apex 34. If you want a board now, go with the Custom 35! Let us know if you have any other questions!
Hey i was wondering which to go with, the custom 35 or the apex 37? i want a board to cruise with, while hitting some pretty big hills every once and a while.
hey does the custom 45 with s10s do they have a lot of tight turning like the torpedo 40 with s6s because im debating weather to get a 40 because i cruise and like to slalom every once in awhile or the 45 because i like to carve hills the thing is i would prefer the 40 because its a cruiser and thats mostly what i do but would it give me decent stability going down decent hills -Thanks
They best set up for you is going to be the Torpedo with S8s. This will give you a nice cruiser that has tight turning capabilities and stability for hills!
been watching Original Skatboard cids this whole day today and its probably going to inspire me to get one of these longboards and skate, great job guys, most definently should be a commercial
As of right now the best way to get a board in MO would be to give us a call: 800-619-5579 or hit up the website. There is free shipping on completes and no tax.
As far as MO dealers... do you have any suggestions? We will try to arrange some stock.
Thats true. We have been riding for a long time and when doing high speed down hill or park skating we always wear our helmets. That being said, we should wear them all the time.
You can cruise, go fast, carve, do flip tricks or screw around on flatland.
Different boards are good for different things but its all for fun and I don't think you get quite as locked into one thing as you do with shortboarding (which I also enjoy).
I would look at one of the longer boards (Torpedo or Malakai would be a great choice). If you are doing a lot of flatland cruising you should stay with either the S6 150mm trucks or jump up to the S8 200mms.
As far as price, both those boards run at $169.00 with free shipping, AND if you subscribe to our YouTube channel you will get a message with a 5.00 discount. For crusing the S8 Original longboard trucks are better for hills but not as quick turning for flatland stuff.
Original's are really designed for carving but bombing is fun as well.
You can drastically improve the bombing performance of any Original board upgrading to one of the wider truck sizes (200mm or even better the 250mm) or heavier springs.
Our best bombing board (the Apex 37) is not yet released. For a sneak peak look at the last shot in our "No wheelbite" video. It is available for order via phone only.
Another great choice would be the Custom 45, it is great for hills and very stable.
The Hybrid is being ridden in most of the sliding clips (with very hard wheels). Really it was designed an aggressive surf simulator, for advanced surfers.
It is a single kicktail shape which gives you a very surfy feel if you setup your stance with your backfoot on the tail, that being said you can also ride with both feet on the platform (back foot off of the tail) for stability.
If you have no surf experience I would go with the Torpedo or Malakai for a more comfortable cruise.
That's one of our "hybrid" type surf skates; The Purge. Basically it is an 80's skateboard deck shape with holes routed through the deck to make allowance for the board lean generated by our longboard trucks (which would cause wheelbite if the board were not shaped specifically to work with the trucks)
That being said it rides very different from either a skateboard or a longboard. It turns on a dime but requires a lot of skill to control.
depends on wat video editing program you have. some are very user friendly and give you a bunch of effects and all you need to do is layer them. this video has sepia tone, old movie effect (its called that), and i dont remember what the effect that slightly blurs the videos is called rite now.
The longboard ridden at 00:31 is the Derringer 28. Sweet board but bombing as shown takes practice. Brad (the rider in that clip) has absolutely no tension on those trucks and is going about 35MPH.
He is insane so I wouldnt recommend trying that until you have been riding that board for a while.
@cabbagepixie the Apex 37 flyweight would be a good board for you. It's a great board for freestyle riding and can also handle some freeriding as well.

1.) GO OUT AND BUY A CRAP LOAD OF SMALL STICKERS WITH THE LETTER "G" ON THEM (you can get them at home depot)
2.)WHEN YOU SEE A SIGN THAT SAYS "NO SKATEBOARDING", PUT THE G STICKER OVER THE "N" SO IT SAYS "GO SKATEBOARDING"
3.) REPOST THIS ON AS MANY VIDEOS AS YOU CAN SO PEOPLE GET THE IDEA

I prefer long boards. I cant keep my feet on the little skateboards. I dont realy like flashy flip tricks and stuff either. I just like to go fast.
Nick5379 3 years ago
Hey Nick,
Right on man,
Going fast is always a good time,
I think longboarding can be what you make it;
You can cruise, go fast, carve, do flip tricks or screw around on flatland.
Different boards are good for different things but its all for fun and I don't think you get quite as locked into one thing as you do with shortboarding (which I also enjoy).
Originalskateboards 3 years ago
Hey i was wondering if Original has any boards that are good for just cruising. And also if i could get a price.
Thanks for any help
itsokeydokey 3 years ago
Okey,
Absolutely,
I would look at one of the longer boards (Torpedo or Malakai would be a great choice).

Originalskateboards 3 years ago

VengfulLemon589 3 years ago
Hey Veng,
The Hybrid is being ridden in most of the sliding clips (with very hard wheels).
Originalskateboards 3 years ago
hey in .15 is that a skateboard deck?
yankee1500 3 years ago
That's one of our "hybrid" type surf skates; The Purge. Basically it is an 80's skateboard deck shape with holes routed through the deck to make allowance for the board lean generated by our longboard trucks (which would cause wheelbite if the board were not shaped specifically to work with the trucks)
That being said it rides very different from either a skateboard or a longboard. It turns on a dime but requires a lot of skill to control.
