It needs to be more difficult. Have the enemies take more health away. Those red aches took less than 1/4 heart away per attack, and the Daira should have taken at least a full heart with each swing.
when it comes to game maker engines and what is really possible.... This is pretty generic. There's a few missing features from the source material, and this looks far easier than the actual game.

well, i would say that im pretty good with platformers, and the lifebars are from another project, and the ai isn't really that amazing.
