@916dubs Apparently now, Air NZ have made it clear (and following international trends) they prefer the 787/777 and their variants to the 747 or a380... Air NZ can't fill their 747's and the larger aircraft have horrible economics when they aren't full. The oft heard expression is that a half full 747 costs 95% as much to fly as a full one!

Love this scheme. Other airlines do a half arsed job (They just decal it, and only use a little bit of the plane), Air NZ actually go the effort of painting an entire aircraft in a promotional livery. Fantastic, I just love how mean this aircraft looks!

Wont happen, airlines try to cram as much seats as possible into their aircraft (especially economy), and they seats are so bunched together that they cant fit windows at every seat otherwise it affects the structural integrity of the aircraft. It's a very complicated process, if it was as easy as you think it is, they would've done it by now. The pertinent point here is to remember airlines are businesses, so they try to make as much profit as they can.

i dont care who i fly with, but as hot as that looks on the outside...inside, will most prob be the total opposite(hope not tho :D). the rows and seats will prob be so close together with no stretch space for your legs or even room for your snack table to unfold completely. afterall rugby fans/supporters come in all shapes and sizes so i hope they took that into consideration lol i hope it wont be like being squashed in a can of sardines lol

You've quite possibly never heard of Air New Zealand's Space + seats in the front half of the domestic aircraft.

"Air New Zealand domestic services are operated in a single class all-economy configuration. Seating forward of the over-wing emergency exits on 737 and A320 aircraft are Space+ seats, with a larger pitch between seats, but otherwise are effectively economy seats."
