ok i have a 1979 john deere it doesnt have any of those fancy belt adjusting tools an i got a new belt and its a little tight as in it kills the motor when i stop what should i do? Pleast Reply Thanks
@stormer1092 if your belt it to tight then your belt is draging on your primary clutch so your belt is to short get a little bit longer belt and it should be fine.
thanks; i ride a 2008 xp tnt, its a sick sled, i am really really happy with it; put 126 fast tracs on and a cudney clutch in the offseason and now i am psyched for more snow on the east coast;
btw, i love your tech vids and the updates; keep em up;
Hey 'pureadrenaline' that is one way to line it up. I find it can be a bit tight that way depending on the belt (OEM or aftermarket) but as long as the belt has a little play on the primary you are good to go.
Thanks! Great Music! RIP DIO

From what I have experienced the belt cords should be just above the secondary, does this really matter that much or no.
