  • i'm getting bad feedback from my line level converter. is there a way not to tap into the back speakers.? can i run it from the stock HU? or the front speakers some how?

  • @microphonecheck1 you can use the high level input i show it in the how to hook up and amp with no after market head unit/ deck, in the vid it also shows other ways to do it with RCA's and without

  • what if i dont have rca on my stock head unit and i hook my remote up like this will it still work

  • @blooddog54 yes it does work i'll pm you the link to my other vid that shows how to hook up rca's with out and after market deck/head unit

  • why not just tap into the ignition wire in the back of your stock stereo like I did. moron.

  • @badmattitude666 that way does work but the way im showing doesn't involve removing the stereo or removing of anyting @ all but thanks for the comment

  • @badmattitude666 i think its for vguys with stock systems i.e me

  • @XxPICKNTICKxX make sure you run your power wire and the rca's on the opposite side of the car

  • This method will work but its definitely the ghetto way to wire I don't recommend this way but hey whatever works right...?

  • @MrTag89 yes it does work never had an issue EVER but this way you don't have to remove the stereo or anything that involves tools thanks for the comment

  • would the wire not interfere with the fuse?

  • @BADrap9 not sure but it works 100% been using this way for 4 years now no issues @ all

  • What fuse did you use

  • @Quekil830 starter

  • Can i use blue wire to turn my amp on and off instead of doing this.

  • @XxPICKNTICKxX i never have done it that way but try it and if it turns on when the car is on and off when the car is off then there you go but it's your ride and always be carefull with electrical

  • @XxPICKNTICKxX if your using an after market deck yes but this way is for not using an after market deck or tools

  • hi in my headunit i dont have a remote wire. but i have got 1 blue wire called power antenna i want to know can i connect my amp remote wire in to that 1 please what is that power antenna for anyway.

  • @XxPICKNTICKxX you can't use the power antenna from what i've tried

  • is it safe to do that?

  • @noctis008 sure is i've had it hooked up this way for years and never one issue

  • @BIGGIEDEVIL. K tnxs ill try that

  • @noctis008 remember to check the amp to make sure it turns off when the car isn't running and only turns on and stays on when the car is running, hope this vid help you out good luck

  • @805hoodrat yes thats a great idea.but only if your using an aftermarket headunit.because you wont be using the factory amp then that fuse will be dedicated just for your amp.but i would recommend connecting it to the back of the fuse box.

  • A toggle swith would be much safer.plus its a lot more efficient with amps.my headunit has a remote out on it and i rather a toggle switch.i been doing this shit for about 16 years now.

  • I would consider fusing that.just because its hooked from a fuse doesnt mean its fused.unless its on the bottom leg.but i still wouldnt trust it.if it grounds out some kind of way youll fry the ecm.(electronic control module)thats around 3600 dollars.

  • hey man it work,,,

but only if u begin start the car the power from the amp just turn on

and then the amp turn off again

    what the problem ?? :s

  • @TheHemlen try a fuse that stays on when the car is running

  • hey man but how many volt is that fuse that u have plug in ?

  • @TheHemlen it's 10 amps

  • @TheHemlen doesn't use power just needs a signal to know it's on that's it

  • @pimpnasty.. it's ok man.. me too trying to learn car audio installation and luckily someday open up my own shop.. ^^ luckily one of my friends volunteered to set-up his car audio and wants me to do it ^^.. oh thanks also for the video.. i was havin a hard time to where i will connect the remote wire.. ^^ any alternative?.. if im not to wire the remote on the fusebox?..

  • song at 1:26?

  • @PiiMpNaStY 100 dollar bills - Chip Tha Ripper

  • @BIGGIEDEVIL thanks so much man.

  • @PiiMpNaStY no problem if you like that song try "i'm fitted" by chip tha ripper

  • @BIGGIEDEVIL ok thanks man. im gettin into car audio but being new and all everything looks a little complicated and expensive to experiment with. im pretty sure i can install like 2 subs but thats it because once again if i screw up ya know its like $200+ down the drain with nothing accomplished.

  • hey my car has a factory amp fuse so could i connect the remote wire 2 it?

  • @805hoodrat i wouldn't recommened it

  • Hi i hooked up my remote to a fuse. The amp came on but now the radio will not work any solutions to help?

  • @Dshawn06 check your fuse either under the hood or under the fuse box under your foot what kind of car is it?

  • @BIGGIEDEVIL its a 97 continental...How to tell if the radio has died?

  • this is crazy talk lol just use the red wire -.-

  • @MrSnakeTM there is no red wire if you have no after market head unit

  • Another thing you could of done was hook up the remote to your ignition cable (the red one) that hooked up to your stereo. It would turn off and on with your key.

This method is used only if the stereo is very cheap (VR3/Road Master, or knock-offs) that don't give that remote off.

Only reason I know is because I install stereos.

  • a better way would be to install a relay

  • song? lol

  • @badboy5710 beat it up by gucci mane

  • what did you say you looked the rem too

  • What side would I hook the remote wire into?

  • @Hacksandmods365 it doesn't matter as long as its in

  • How would i find a HU that fits my car?

  • @Hacksandmods365 they all do you just have to buy the kit that holds the HU and the harrness for the wiring most audio shops sell everything you need including the install kit

  • yeah u can blow shit that way if the fuse doesnt have enough amps to protect either the fuse box or amp

  • @mi2oahn wrong the remote wire doesn't use any power @ all it just needs a signal to say it's "on" it doesn't use any voltage @ all, i've had my system hooked up like this for over a year in this car and i've done this in may other cars as well and NEVER had an issue EVER this is a way that works and i've done this to help others out that can't afford or have the knowledge to do it them self thanks for the comment

  • Is that safe plugging the wire into your fuze box lol jw

  • @Hacksandmods365 sure why not i have been for years for the remote for my amps

  • nice.
