  • I am for a different kind of tax...a real fair tax

I also don't believe that income should be taxed. I view the money you make as a representation of your work and that should not be taken away from you.

but one problem i see with the fair tax is things like gasoline getting taxed more then any other product...if you want to get rid of corruption get rid of unequal taxes.

unequal taxes are another way for gov to manipulate you to buy this product and not this one.

(in other words its not fair!)

  • @creptoin1 I also don't agree with you on the fact that its a bad time to implement it.

search this (Mike Huckabee - What is the "fair Tax?")

    property tax- Gone

    death tax- Gone

    production tax- Gone

and as for the other 66,000pages of tax code- GONE!!!

    lower taxes for everyone = creation of jobs (for those who want them)-{yes i'm talking to you, you lazy bum sitting there living off my income}

the amount you spend on something would be the same if not lower under the my version of the fair tax.

  • @creptoin1 1 product getting taxed more then another is corruption weather you like it or not.

and it paves the way to socialism- and we all know what comes after socialism- and the manipulation of the American people!

  • u rock, man. there is no bad time to implement the fairtax though.

  • Who ever thinks the Fairtax is a hoax or just be a 30% percent tax is either talking out of there ass or just closed minded and hasn't even read or studied on the Fair tax, calling some one and idiot or a moron just shows your ignorance and low IQ, wow just wow.

  • Google Fairtax fine print.

Fairtax has hidden a massive tax -- almost a trillion dollars -- from the public,

They didn't mention it in their 14 books, didn't mention it in their speeches, their videos, their web sites. Only one sentence even refered to it.

Yet their whole plan is BASED on this massive new tax they don't dare mention, except in one sentence.

Google fairtax fine print, and learn something

  • Not sure I agree that we have to wait for the economy to improve before we get the FairTax. The sooner the better, I'd say. Spending is more stable (steady, constant) than income. Granted prices might increase a few percent the first year, until corporations can let go all their tax consultants, but in the long run we'll all benefit from the FairTax.

  • If your house was burning down, would you expect firemen to save you?

  • Well, it goes beyond parties for unfair tax because both sides are liars, murders, and thieves run by the jesuit order. Pawns as you will. Conservative or Democrat, etc. doesn't matter. They get people like you confused on whose the right or wrong. It's actually quite sad because when it hits the fan wont matter what party affiliate you belong to. People need to stop getting caught up in these parties that mean nothing to the grand design. Unite as one to fight these agencies.

  • demoractic communist party? wow you prove the stereotype that all black people are retarded haha that sentence alone stripped you of all credability and nothing you say from here on out can ever be taken seriously. Being conservative doesnt mean you have to be a complete moron like this dude, there are some of us that arent retarded.... But ofcourse we are not american (thank god)

  • So show me - dumb fuck - any nation on earth - any time in history -- that just put a huge sales tax on the government, and counted that as income.

Its total fucking lunatic insane bullshit. Hello you idiots.

Thats why they fucking HIDE it -- cause they KNOW its bullshit. That's why they avoid all hearings under oath for 12 years.

They KNOW its a bunch of shit. It's a hoax like that kid in the ballon.

  • You want a source for how an actual national sales tax would be 90%?

Sure - the Joint Committee on Taxation wrote a report -- at Bush's request -- about Fairtax and other plans. That report showed a sales tax to replace all others would be AT LEAST 60% -- and much higher if people quit buying stuff because of a 60% tax.(which they would , of course).

So its NOT 23% -- thats BULLSHIT and Fairtax knows it.

  • Since McCulluch vs Maryland - "the power to tax is the power to destroy"

Thats why the federal government has NEVER tried to collect a tax directly from cities, counties, or states.

Notice Fairtax HIDES this part of their plan - do you fucking have ANY idea why they hide it?

Because they KNOW its pure fucking BULLSHIT thats why. They know no one will vote for this nonsense -- its huge tax on cities, states, counties dumb fuck.

    That's why they HIDE it.

  • So your dumb ass is for this bullshit cause its constitutional?

No its not dumb fuck -- since fucking WHEN can the federal fucking government charge cities and states a huge sales tax on all their spending?

You dumb fuck - the FT is bullshit consittutionally AND math wise. Its a total fucking bogus piece of CRAP you idiot.

The Fed gov can not make California pay 50 billion in sales taxes on its own spending.

Wise the fuck up moron - you are being fooled.

  • The fair tax would replace all of these forms of inefficient taxation.

  • @BullshipDetector Congratulations buddy, what you typed officially wins the dumbest thing I've ever heard award, you should be proud.

  • Are you mental? Are you nuts? Actual economists - not those paid by Fairtax con job -- have said a national sales tax would be 90%. Got that 90%.

Read that again -- 90%. Read it again -- 90%.

The fucking BULLSHIT 23% you dumb fuck comes from the INSANE crap about taxing the GOVERNMENT you fucking idiot.

Read the only report REALLY done by economist - the Joint Committee report in 2005.

Here is a clue -- FT leaders are NOT trying to pass it. They know its a hoax, a farce.

  • 90%? Show me where you get this. Now. Lets see how "reliable" your sources are.

And yeah, its constitutional. Go through Article 1 of the constitution and show me where it says that it's not.

What do you think we are getting taxed now? You get paid: income tax. You buy something: sales tax. You buy property: property tax. You buy gas: gas tax. You die: death tax. There are many ways of taxation that easily triple the amount that people say we are being taxed now.

  • Call up your mayor. Ask him if he knows Fairtax wants to put a 30% sales tax on everything he pays for.

Call up your County board- ask them. Call up your police department -- ask them

Call up your governor. Ask him.

This tax on government is utter nonsense -- thats why they hid it.

They HID it in the fine print for a reason - BECAUSE they know its utter nonsense.

  • At the very least, I am glad that you are reading SOMETHING about the Fair Tax, whether it be false or not (or just plain dumb) at least you are attempting to get educated.

First of all, know why I am in support of the Fair Tax: it is a constitutional and representative way of taxation.

The percentage is most definitely not 30%, there have been large universities and economists that have studied this plan, and it remains at 23%.

And not, not everything. NEW products and services.

  • Mr. E, I compliment you on your video points, but I would like to take exception to your view of the FairTax being "not a good idea at this time". If anything, now is the best time for it. Removing all taxation on income for business and individuals will stimulate the economy through both spending as well as job creation as the economic disadvantage of expanding business is eliminated. Get the books on the FairTax and read them, they explain it better than I can do here. Semper Fidelis.

  • You are the third person to tell me that, and as I told the others, I do not disagree with you. The reason I don't say it will help now is because of our laughable leadership. Congress cannot take care of anything without putting regulation on it. Problem? regulate it. That is their motto. This is why I don't think it will be a good idea at this time. I do believe it will help the economy. I have read the first fair tax book, i will read the second. Thanks.

  • Oh don't worry about the options. I will only receive worthless messages from you, and repetitive ones at that.

Several people have proven you wrong and provided you with many facts. You have been presented with many works that support the fair tax, and you have been given many reasons why the Fair Tax would work. You should figure it out.

  • ConservativeE, this guy is a menace! He spams FairTax videos under multiple names. Best to just delete his comments and block him. Here is a list of the names he uses (so far):

CanteenKid, FarceTax, FilmCriticOne, NawwLeans, MakeMyPower, MarkDouglasC, MyBookDeal, MyBookWork, NavyBeer, NeilTaxCon, PrebateNonsense, Taxfools, TaxSanity, TruthMattersToMe, 12FlyMe, BullshipDetector

  • I was about to write you to suggest the same as Naggernutz, E...I admire your ability to tolerate "their" comments, but I tired of it a long time ago, and I don't tolerate it. Keep up the good work...

  • Yes, I finally took the suggestion. I wrote "him" yesterday to explain that, that was going to be the last time he heard a response from me.

Thanks, I'll try better next time.

Thanks for watching, and I greatly appreciate the comments.

  • Yes yes. I have read the same comment at least 5 different times already, and I have responded with five different options for you.

  • Ah, hello again MarcDouglas.

Why do you insist on posting the same comments over and over again?

And yes the fairtax is a conservative ideal since it involves less government, and more empowerment of the government by the people.

  • Ok. Mark/prebatenonsense/farcetax

  • DISCLAIMER NUMBER TWO REGARDING MARK DOUGLAS CURRAN OF QUINCY, ILLINIOS, NOTED YOU TUBE SPAMMER 12FlyMe/Nawwleans/BullshipDetector/MarkDouglasC/FarceTax: This man (I use the term loosely), as anyone who has seen any vids here regarding Fairtax knows, does nothing but repeat the same lies and nonsense over and over. I have rebutted ALL his pointless nonsense with facts AND challenged him to debates. He ignores the facts and refuses to debate. Mark all his posts as spam please.

  • DISCLAIMER FOR THOSE SERIOUS ABOUT DISCUSSING THE FAIRTAX: Sincere, intellectually honest debate is ALWAYS welcome, but ignore 12FlyMe/NawwLeans/Bullship Detector/FarceTax, etc. All the same person who continually posts a rash of lies, slanders, name-calling, and general nonsense, and has no interest in honest debate on HR25. Despite multitudes of facts and rational arguments posted in response to his rants, he continues undeterred in his campaign of misinformation. Pay no attention to him.

  • No reason to change names

  • Government pays the embedded taxes already. Under the FairTax these are visible. So what changes?

MarkDouglasC...the fact it only ever comes down to name calling with you really does you no favors. The fact you really have no comebacks other than namecalling....its really not worth debating with you. Sorry.

  • Let me let you in on a few secrets my uneducated friend.

    1. The Fair Tax taxes, at a rate of 23% "at the final point of sale for all NEW goods and services for PERSONAL CONSUMPTION." This clearly states that government as an entity is not taxed, business to business transactions are not taxed, and it clearly states that it will abolish all other forms of taxation.

  • Comment removed

  • The reason it says the government itself is from new products and services that persons in government use to live. If you read the chapters before and after that you will know.

  • Necessities are not taxed, therefore, Rent is not taxed. No property taxes, no cap gains, no corporate. No tax on goods and services provided from business to business. No tax on medicare. No tax on necessary surgeries.

You obviously do not know what you speak of. Before you make any uneducated comments, read the bill. It lays out very clearly what is to be and not to be taxed.

Lays out prebates, taxable items, rules on used items, rules on business taxes, etc.

  • Sorry about calling black dude I didnt know. I also think that most of your views are very intelligent and shows u have knowledge and look at both sides of the coin. Minorities typically dont. U know what im talking about, the masses follow Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Farrakhan, and etc. U should educate your self futher and run for office because u might win.

  • Read the Fairtax book. I did - four times. I read that second book too. Pure bullshit.

YOu fools are dumb as hell to believe this crap. Hell, a high school kid should spot the bogus in this crap.

Read page 148 "the federal government will becomem a MAJOR TAXPAYER'

YOu fools should have said - say what? But no, you sat their with your mouths open and let the flies in.

Thinks a little. The government cant create income TO itself by paying itself a sales tax. Its dumber than shit.

  • Get back to you when I research it.

  • Tax base is increased 3x, the 60% is based on the current 100 million (not 300 million)

23% is what is needed to fund the government as its current level.

The research has been done, I don't now what this guys problem is....

  • Comment removed

  • Lots they dont tell you in HR25, son, cause they don't want you to know.

They admit all state and local and federal government would pay this lunatic tax. They admit that shit.

But they don't tell your ass what that means. That means every tank, every space shuttle, every highway, every jet, has to pay this idiot tax.

So the Fairtax liars are basing their lie on GETTING money --big money -- a trillion a year or mor -- FROM the government.

Thats right - just tax the government.

    BULLSHIT

  • In order for something to become law, it must be written, passed and signed, with emphasis on written. If it is not in HR 25, it will not be law. Unless the democrat regulators decide to once again undermine the constitution.

Taxing the government is not in the bill.

  • "Taxing the government is not in the bill "

"ALL new consumption is taxed" including government consumption. What Mark neglects to share is that government is already paying the cost of embedded income taxes in purchases from the private sector and the wages of government employees. Switching to the fairtax switches embedded income taxes with an embedded sales tax. If it didn't, it would create perverse market conditions favoring bigger government at the expense of individual liberty

  • Read the FT book "The federal government itself will become a MAJOR taxpayer". page 148.

So yes, dumb ass, the government is supposed to pay taxes under Fairtax. In fact, the tax on government is BY FAR the biggest revenue stream.

What Fairtax fails to do is make this clear to cities and states -- on purpose. Fairtax avoids all hearings under oath, they hide this crap in the back of the book in one sentence, and hopes people are stupid.

Its a hoax - they arent trying to pass it.

  • @CanteenKid, 12FlyMe, MarkDouglasC, PrebateNonsense, TruthMattersToMe (laughing at this) and your many others

Grow up and stop using 32 aliases to get around youtube posting limits.

Your assertion the "fairtax fails to make clear" is unfounded.

Your outrage is selective by not railing against income taxes that do the same thing (embedded tax in government spending), and therefor disingenuous.

  • Conserv - thats right HR 25 doesnt mention donations, son, but thats how their MATH is set up. Thats how BOortz admits the math works.

If workers DO NOT donate back all that money, Boortz admits, the math doesnt work.

Thats whats crazy about it fool -- its bullshit. It depends on shit that can't happen

All of us will NOT donate all the money we save back to our employer. Okay -- aint happening. Cause that means we would donate all we save -- and THEN pay this bullshit farce high tax.

  • So you still think Fairtax isn't absurd crap?

Did you know you would have to pay thise very high sales tax on your RENT? thats right ALL rent is taxed. Even subsidized rent - someone has to pay sales tax on it.

Even cancer surgery -- someone has to pay sales tax. It doesn't matter if you have insurance or not -- even if you are on medicare -- you get the tax on that surgery. No exceptions. No exemptions.

Fairtax is a magic pony. Its pretty but its bullshit.

  • Whay you need to learn from this, young man, is that every tax plan iss bullshit. You have to look behind the hype and lies.

FOr example, I bet you believe you would get more money on your paycheck, cause of Fair tax.

Hell no you don't. Boortz has admitted in Free Republic that for this looney FT math to work -- we ALL -- ALL have to donate ALL the money we save on no payroll taxes, TO our employer.

Thats right -- we DONATE it -ALL of us.

    Sound likely to happen?

    Hell no.

  • House resolution 25, which by the way is the FAIR TAX, mentions nothing of donations. I have it as a PDF on my computer. I have read it, studied it, and cannot seem to find any mention of donations. Give me the section in the bill where it is at please.

  • That is because the fairtax doesn't care how you spend what you make. Unlike the income tax that tracks how you spend with deductions and exemptions. and the exorbitant amount of paper work that it creates.

  • Splendid idea?

Hardly. Fairtax is a farce -- its a con job, the leaders know its a con job. It sounds good if you don't know the details -- but its bullshit. The Fairtax leaders aren't about to even let it have hearings in Washington or the details will be exposed.

For example, just one absurdity -- Fairtax is based on collecting the worlds highest sales tax -- FROM -- the government. Thats right, the government will PAY itself.

And these morons COUNT that as income. Its BS.

  • The Fair Tax, as screwed up as you may think it to be, is in all ways better than our current corrupted and punishing system. The current system is unconstitutional under the original constitution before the 16th amendment, and it punishes success. In addition, under the fair tax, the poor would end up in benefit. HR 25 explains it all.

  • MarkDouglasC is well known for posting comments like this against the FairTax. Its become apparent that a) he doesn't fully understand the concept of 'embedded taxes' and b) doesn't understand the free market and competition. He is also not open to debate, it just turns into name calling.

Personally, I wouldn't bother replying to him.

  • I believe in an income tax but it needs to be kept low. I feel glad to see a black who can speak well and give a good point. Im a black republican are u.

  • I am not black, I am Puertorican.

And I am glad to see one that does not follow the herd or lemmings.

  • I disagree. I think if we wait for the economy to recover with the government taking its current course of action....we won't recognise it.

    We need the FairTax now.

  • Ok. Just a small argument for you, although I do not completely disagree:

The Fair Tax, if passed, will completely overrun the financial, private and public sectors with changes. These changes are expensive, sudden, and very drastic. How do you imagine that an unstable economy, with an unstable administration, and a laughable congress at best will be able to cope with the drastic changes?

  • I agree it will be a huge change. But if we don't change it now.....will it be changeable in the future? I'm not one for waiting until the time is right. Thats like waiting to have kids until you can afford it.

But I do see your point.

  • It will be able to be changed as long as government keeps out of the markets. The government being in the markets defeats the purpose of even having a fair tax.

  • Personally I don't see the government getting out of the markets. It would be up to us the people to vote them out and vote in free market believers.

But yes, they need to get out of the markets!!

  • There are many problems, some from how much tax is collected and others from how it is collected, while both problems are huge, the fairtax only addresses those that are created from how we collect.

  • im glad there are people like ConservativeE out there

  • At the end you say that the supply increases to decrease prices.

That depends on the supply/demand curve and the effective point that they intercept graphically.

If they produce to much then they slow down production and may have to decrease production costs. However, industry should be able to know what they're demand will be like in a stable economy. Consumption also depends on the size of the consuming base(ie:exports) It cannot only be limited to services in the US.

  • The comment is on a general basis. Of course there are many, many other factors that go into prices, supply, and demand. However, in general, if supply increases while demand falls, prices drop. That is what has been happening here in the United States the last few months.

  • Yes, then I am in general agreement. This would work well if a new business model could be created to allow a smooth transition to this type of system. We would have our work cut out for us.

  • Sorry Bro the 16th amendment is:

    1. unconstitutional (cause its a direct tax)

    2. the amendment was never ratified by enough states to make it legal law

    3. this income tax that you pay goes straight into the pockets of bankers not to the government.

    4. without law you can't be forced to pay income tax.

There are several court cases the confirmes that fact.

Here you have my fact backed opinion.

  • No, the income tax I pay goes directly into the debt created by the federal reserve.

And yes, without law, you cannot be forced to pay them. the problem is that there is a law called the 16th amendment.

What you don't realize is that the Constitution was not written to limit the people. The Constitution was written as a law on the GOVERNMENT. As a limit to power. The 16th amendment expanded that power, which is NOT supposed to be so.

Right of speech stops the government

    Rights of guns, ect.

  • @LusoPanteraMusic

1 direct tax is legal because of 16th amendment

2 the questionable ratification of the 16th amendment didn't hold up in supreme court.

4 income tax is enforced with penalties for not paying, and backed by the courts. You have no other constitutional recourse but to work to repeal the 16th amendment.

  • Ok but you still paying taxes why dont you stop paying right now if there is no legal law? So than you dont need to care about the illegal mexicans!!!

    Think about it...

  • The income tax is legal because of the 16th amendment. I have to pay my taxes. It is not the idea of paying taxes that I have a problem with. Of course i would rather have no taxes, but i kinda want a military, and schools, and so on. I don't want to take care of illegals though. they can get into the citizenship process. It should be made a bit easier, but it is not fair when there are people waiting YEARS to get citizenship, and they can just get it all for free!

  • That's the thing you liberals don't get. The constitution is NOT a limit on people, it is a limit on government.

And the liberal mentality keeps adding more and more and more regulation.

  • I see a future for you in politics and especially in economics because you seem to know what you are talking about perhaps you could even be the next president of the United States I mean why not!

  • Right On!ConservetiveE I was just thinking that if Obama makes the richer folks pay higher taxes like he says he is gonna do. What happens if the Rich Folks decide to flee to another country and run there buisness overseas? And since the Rich are about what 5% in America which is relativily small.

  • Obama would still have to make the middle class pay higher taxes anyway and the whole sharing of the pie is up to the working class citizens not the government as you stated it is our right we and we earned it.

  • Yes. This is what is happening and what has been happening. Did you know that the US has the second highest corporate tax in the world? That is FACT. Let me ask you this, if you could have two choices, one... pay more taxes and and be in the US, or two pay less taxes, and still have business in the US which would you pick?

  • corporate taxes are payed by consumer purchases.

the preference is based on ability to remain competitive and turn a profit on investment.

The Fairtax does away with not only corporate but capital gains and payroll and other taxes that are payed though consumer purchases. This increases their ability to compete by producing in America and supplying jobs and raising real wages (job supply, and labor demand economics).

  • The top 1% of people make 390,000 or above per year. The top 10% are in the mid 100's per year.

Raising taxes at a time like this, when we need more jobs is not a good idea. The more money they take frm the pockets of business, the less that goes into yours and mine.

  • There is a mistake in the first minute or so i believe. Philander C. Knox was not a secretary of treasury, he was the secretary of state. I believe the second time I gave him a title I fixed it.
