Its like call of duty and battlefield - call of duty is is for hard core games and battle rield is more stratigic - the same apllies for ufc and mma / ufc is for hard core fist swinging players whils ea mma is mire of a stratigic and tecnical fight soo both games haver there advantages!
I use to dog this game about how bad it looks and such, but once i actually played it and went back to undisputed 2010, i found out how much better ea mma is. The gameplay is just great! on ufc undisputed it seems like its all about who can land the most strong stikes, with ea mma, ya never know what is going to happen with each punch. The ultimate game would be the graphics from undisputed but the gameplay like ea mma.
EA MMA is WORLDS above that THQ arcade garbage. THQ made an MMA game for non-mma fans. If you have even a clue about how moves actually work, go with EA. If you only care about seeing names you recognize from the 4 UFC events you may have watched, go ahead and go with THQs joke of a game.

@random5299 Ill be very specific on how UFC isn't better then EA FNR4 or EA Sports MMA becasue UFC looks like an arcade game, the muscle texture doens't look realisitc at all, the fighters move like Robots, the clothing texture in UFC doesn't look real, the animation isn't terrible but it doesn't look sleek, crisp, clean or fluid and last the Fighters look like lego blocks when they flex they muscles evertime they hit or make a certian movement. My overall rating for UFC 2010 a 7.2 out of 10.
@random5299 EA Sports MMA and FNR4 looks better in multipel ways they both have nice sleek crisp clean texture in there graphics, the sweat looks alot more realistic on the bodies, the overall movement in the games look and feel like u are really playing with a real person in real life not to mention they are life like anyway. The motions in each game look very beautiful and natural in EA Sports MMA and FNR4. my overall rating for FNR4 is an 8.9 out of 10 and i'm not sure yet but MMA 9.2 overall

@jnieves77 Ways that UFC is better: FNR4 is a good game but due to its awkward punching system it leads to many people doing the same punch over and over as well as people holding the special move button and releasing it over and over, and eventually the game altogether gets boring and loses it's fun appeal. My rating for it is a 7.0/7.5.

Thirdly, THQ sat down with a team of UFC fighter to upgrade 09 to 2010 and asked THEM what they wanted to upgrade in the game. Where, EA built their game from scratch using the Fight Night 4 engine

EA's game is looking good. I'll be picking up both. I wish that UFC wasn't a yearly title. Eventually, it will become like everything else and only be worth picking up the newest version every 2-3 years. Entrances don't mean anything to me because I know that after the first time or two of seeing them, I would start to skip through them anyways. Hopefully, both companies will keep their franchises running. The more options we have, the better.
@malibu2241 2010 is what 2009 should have been. They throw in a dodging system and a few new submissions and call it a new game, same graphics and everything. I'm getting both UFC Undisputed 2010 and the MMA game, because both look good, if I only could choose one though, I would choose UFC, because my favorite characters are in it, I like how the game is, and how the career mode is gonna be in 2010. I am so getting EA sports mma the graphics are way better, the fighting is more fluid. I played UFC and it's ok but it's not anything special. Check out some of the gameplay for EA mma and if you still think that UFC is better then you have something wrong with you.

EA MMA. Why? Because look at Fight night round 4 vs Undisputed 2009. EA had better graphics, more fluidity of motion, southpaw stance, different fighting styles, GREAT looking character customizations, and gameplay was all around superb as it took some 'skill' (the analog stick). @random5299 Ill be very specific on how UFC isn't better then EA FNR4 or EA Sports MMA becasue UFC looks like an arcade game, the muscle texture doens't look realisitc at all, the fighters move like Robots, the clothing texture in UFC doesn't look real, the animation isn't terrible but it doesn't look sleek, crisp, clean or fluid and last the Fighters look like lego blocks when they flex they muscles evertime they hit or make a certian movement. My overall rating for UFC 2010 a 7.2 out of 10.

@random5299 EA Sports MMA and FNR4 looks better in multipel ways they both have nice sleek crisp clean texture in there graphics, the sweat looks alot more realistic on the bodies, the overall movement in the games look and feel like u are really playing with a real person in real life not to mention they are life like anyway. The motions in each game look very beautiful and natural in EA Sports MMA and FNR4. my overall rating for FNR4 is an 8.9 out of 10 and i'm not sure yet but MMA 9.2 overall

Though i must say that the running in ea mma is good and i like it, but besides that the walking is better in ufc 2010 because in a fight you don't come forward with your guard down.

@jnieves77 Ways that UFC is better: FNR4 is a good game but due to its awkward punching system it leads to many people doing the same punch over and over as well as people holding the special move button and releasing it over and over, and eventually the game altogether gets boring and loses it's fun appeal. My rating for it is a 7.0/7.5.
As for ea mma, the graphics are clearly lacking and the gameplay looks cheesy as I have told u, also the maneuvering on the ground is very crappy....coontinued

@jnieves77 continued--- and even though the developers say that a person cant just button mash, they probably will be able to and overall it doesn't look that impressive but I will get it and try it out. So from what I have seen so far, I would give it an 6.3, but my opinion may change if the game turns out to be good.

@random5299 Well one thing you most defintly should know is that this is a pre Alpha Bulid not the Beta build. Even the one at E3 was pre alpha the developers said it on the EA forumn. and while the pre alpha was being shown off at E3 the other developer were wroking on the Beta at the sametime they were showing of the pre alpha so i guess that mean the game is going to look alot better when it cme out. but shited it look good as fcuk for pre alpha imagine how good the beta going to look.

firstly ud have to compare UFC "2010" not 09 to EA MMA...
Secondly, EA sucks balls coz they had a chance to make UFC 09 and they said "we would never make an MMA game coz MMA is not a real sport and we would never support it" once they seen how much money THQ made, they jumped straight into EA MMA..
Thirdly, THQ sat down with a team of UFC fighter to upgrade 09 to 2010 and asked THEM what they wanted to upgrade in the game. Where, EA built their game from scratch using the Fight Night 4 engine

UFC undisbuted just quick grab for cash using big names and brands. Its like a re-skined version of Tekken with grappleing. sure it can be a really fun game at time, good ideas and all, but poorly designed. EAs MMA could win game of the year a million times in a row, that doesnt matter cause UFC got the Brands and Names so they'll sell more copy easily. Sad world we live in.

EA's game is looking good. I'll be picking up both. I wish that UFC wasn't a yearly title. Eventually, it will become like everything else and only be worth picking up the newest version every 2-3 years. Entrances don't mean anything to me because I know that after the first time or two of seeing them, I would start to skip through them anyways. Hopefully, both companies will keep their franchises running. The more options we have, the better.

I'm getting both UFC Undisputed 2010 and the MMA game, because both look good, if I only could choose one though, I would choose UFC, because my favorite characters are in it, I like how the game is, and how the career mode is gonna be in 2010. I kind of only gonna buy the MMA game because of Fedor, Randy Couture, Joachim "Hellboy" Hansen, Bobby Lashly and Brett Rogers, maybe some more. and the great effects in it. the effects in the UFC game isn't bad though.
