  • the fucking gratest song of Megadeth in the 90´

  • one of the greatest songs ever!! But i am disappointed that Mustaine in 2 years have lost his voice.. I mean his voice live from 2009 and then is CRAP. It may be from the many years of singing or i dont know am just disappointed because he is one of my idols!! Hope he get his voice back soon and make more awesome songs!! Long live Mustaine!!

  • @Panahs7 He needs to take a break to get it back. They've been touring non stop since 2008 or so.

  • @11DNA11 I know man he should have known that he must take a break so he can get his voice back. I miss that awesome voice man!! God bless Mustaine, Or Mustaine bless himself!:)

  • this is way better than metallica......no worries Dave........U rock

  • the distortion is shitty here.. i wonder if this was during the period they were using line 6s

  • @jbohler33 You can see big stacks of Marshalls behind them, no they're not using Line 6s. Personally I think the tone is good, different taste I guess.

  • @MasterofKnees first of all, many bands have a wall of marshall cabs behind them and it's purely for aesthetics. all of them are hollow except for a maximum of 2-3 full stacks per guitaristmost of the time, because anymore than that is pointless. but in this case assuming they even are using all the cabs, which is believable because there are like 6 stacks from what i can see, that doesn't mean they're not using line 6 amps or any other brands... it just means they're using marshall cabs

  • @MasterofKnees They were using Line 6 mods here dude.

  • drover makes the drumming look like a piece of cake...

  • 1 persona nunca la va a poner....

  • lol just cuts off drover, no shawn... leave that drum solo to mr.menza lol

  • Perfeito

  • Man, this videos are just awesome. Where was this taken from ? The quality is so good... tell me there is a DVD with this gig....

  • @nhchris claro né

  • @nhchris It's from an as of yet to be released DVD called Blood in the Water. No release date has been set.

  • @Hellwyck it says " the answer to your question is welcome to tomorrow!" you know what that line means?

  • I fucking love this song.

  • geiler song

  • I think mustaine acomplished his objective of making faster, harder, maybe even better music than metallica.

  • @wewillrockyou1986 IMO he did . I dont wanna start a Megadeth Metallica fight but its true .

  • @Sparks424 I didnt want to either.

    I was just saying

  • I think musaine acomplished his objective of making faster, harder, maybe even better music than metallica.

  • this song is heavier than anything on ...and justice for all.

  • 1 guy listen Slipknot

  • CHRIS BRODERICK! Y U SO GOOD!

  • @nando88 Because he use to play for 14hrs a day simple really ... dedication .

  • Dave Mustaine is the heavy metal version of Mozart... BRILLIANT AT WHAT HE DOES!!!

  • @WadShat Wouldn't that be Broderick? I mean, he can play classical too..

  • definately one of the greatest masterpieces mustaine has created

  • Comment removed

  • @massgilms actually ashes in your mouth was credited as being written by mustaine ellefson friedman and menza :P

  • @massgilms Actually, all of the current line-up at the time of this song's writing was credited for this, although there's no question that Mustaine have written by far most of it, as with every song.

  • I've tried to learn how to play this song with my drums with no success. Really love the song... but the drum pattern is very complex. I do admire that the new drummers Shawn and back then Jimmy DeGrasso played this song so fucking good. Wish I had 10% their talent !

  • @fatalerror482 hmmm, marty has a amazing out-from-the-normal technic, broderick is very good tapping and shredding, and he has his own style too, but marty plays thrash metal like playing a video game, he's much more complete as a guitarist i think... ...sorry for my english....

  • DAVE'S SICK!!!!! AND HE'S STILL PLAYING 2:03

  • you can tell right after tornado of souls they started this song

  • Think about this people, Chis and Shawn had to replace two great people. I think they do fucking great. Dave couldn't have found two better people to replace them guys.

  • @fatalerror482 another way to see it... Broderick=Robot, Friedman=Had a soul. But in the end they're both great fuggin guitarrists

  • awesome song and lyrics dave rules.........

  • The voice of Dave Mustaine is beautiful

  • ellefson is THE megadeth bassist. . . .

  • that crowd sucks balls !!!

  • chris' playing is amazing but for some reason i dont really like his tone..maybe its the engl amp..or maybe the dimarzzio pickups..but its too treble-ish it sounds un-natural kinda like a digital amp..but he freakin plays amazing..

  • Wow, best performance and recording quality of a megadeth show on youtube maybe! :S :O

  • reminds me of robert plant but it's not the same style of singing obviously

  • Damn look at the 22's on Broderick! I thought you couldn't bring guns to a concert :P (No Homo)

  • this song is just so perfect.....

  • megadeth isnt the same without ellefson. its good that hes back now though

  • @TheGangstergnome the only good thing about ellefson in megadeth is he is a co-founder, otherwise james lomenzo is as good or even better round performer, not against ellefson don't get me wrong.

  • epic solo-part

  • @SitotiKurton he did do the mercy part but it was cut from this clip. just search "ashes in your mouth blood in the water"

  • DAVE HAVE MERCY!!!!!

  • really cool tune, really well played here too

chris n dave, easily the best combo since marty

  • i think chris broderick is great but i don't think drover will ever have the same intensity as nick menza

  • LOL Chrisis a robot.

  • damn this song has such great power the riffs and solos makes me want to bang my head on the wall

  • This song is sooo underrated. Why, I'll never know. Best song on CtE, by far.

  • it was at coors ampitheater in chula vista 2007 when Megadeth was touring with heaven and hell. I got lucky and came up on two Dave Mustain picks,(yellow) tickets for floor i think were $80, we bought lawn and snuck by security to the front like always :P... This last show they did with SLayer and Testament was the besst show ever tho, same venue, and a gain i got lucky and came up on another Dave Mustain pick, I got footage of that show stage and the pits, sound quality sux tho.

  • Delicious vocal performance.

  • Megadeth are bloody amazing, but how boring is that crowd?

  • Haha, you gotta love the gracious flick of the pickup switch after Chris nails that first solo.

  • @0oIronMaideno0 Too right.

  • such a kick ass tune

  • favorite guitar solo of any song/band ever

  • I dont know which lead guitarist from Megadeth is better, neither do i care.

whoever it is, watching Mustaine solo is always more entertaining.

  • We covered this song anno, in 2001....and it was awesome. I lost the video tape somewhere, but if I find it, I swear, I will upload it, we succeeded to play this song perfectly (with added double bass). :) By the way, this version is absolutely cool. \m/

  • it 08

  • this was in 2008

  • i thought david elefson was back - but this is probably james lomenzo again- great bass player though! nothin aginst him, just interested why!

  • @martinestorov maybe cos this was in 2008 and he hadnt re-joined yet.

  • Great picture quality

  • Holy shit, sounds like straight from the album xD

  • @egonoe1 it was 2008 not 7

  • drum solo sucked ass.

if you wanna hear how its supposed to be done look up :

Megadeth - Ashes In Your Mouth (Live 1992)

  • @megadethrulez1 drum solo?

  • @mottaveigajunior yeah, the drum solo at the end of this song.

  • bastards in San Diego lol if megadeth goes there you better go to that show cuz you know Dave is gonna go all out for his home town

  • My favorite song off countdown

  • this song is kick ass , dave sounds really good aswell :D

  • publico qliao fome donde tienen el aguante gringos qliaos cuando megadeth viene a latinoamerica dejamos la caga como deve ser viva megadeth y el slam xd :D

  • Sorry, Nao, I keep forgetting the name of the song =( lol until now that is

  • why only 7000 views? it deserves 700000 views!

  • THE BEST SHOW THEY HAVE MADE!

  • this is their most underrated song

    i dont know why

  • @ymiappf agreed, this is easily one of my favs by them, the guitar solo's alone are freaking sick.

  • @ymiappf

I like this song alot but when I listen to what the answer to the question is it puts me off. Personally I think its bad lyricism idk.

  • @pubixcube69

"If you're fighting to live, it's OK to die.

The answer to the question is "Welcome to tomorrow""

It's perfectly good lyricism and great English, better than turning every sentence into an acronym eg: "idk".

  • i want the friedman n menza line up!!! fuck poland n gar is dead!!! as much as we hope for it it will never happen

  • @tommybaterista none of them are bad. Personally i like Drover. He's influenced me. I'd like to keep him and get Dave and Marty back.

  • @Schexterxxx Yeah, Drover is a very good drummer. Broderick needs some respect because he's a very good guitarist, but his soloing is more of a "heheheh I can play fast, check this out" rather than Marty's solos which really had emotion.

  • chris broderick!!!

  • Dave uses a Dean V...

  • Sounded better then the studio version... ]\/[EGADET]-[

  • Dean

  • does mustaine use ESP or B.C Rich???

  • none,as far as i know he uses dean and used to use jackson

  • He did use b.c. rich early in his career and then went to jackson for awhile, next was esp but not long after that he decided on dean.

  • i think he uses Dean king V

  • @TheMetallicafan012

    dean!!!!

  • @themetallicafan012

he uses a dean VMNT flying V

  • im putting this out there.

    BEST PERFORMANCE EVER

  • After listing to this all I can say is........GOD HAVE MERCY!!!!

  • fucking kick ass song, one of my favorites by Megadeth.

  • Muito fodaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • this song is top of my fav songs by Megadeth.

    100% genius!

  • best song

  • now we created his-tor-y

  • now we've rewritten history *

  • thanks s15spics

  • Last time fans were quarelling, comparing both Megadeth and Metallica. Now, Dave has nothing to claim from Metallica and is happy with his current life, the fans make another comparison. This time around is between Megadeth's line up... I really don't understand

  • People like to argue, because they want to feel superior to others.

  • is he playing that song in drop D ?

  • I don't think so. . . why??

  • nope standard

  • Nick left in 1998 and

    Marty left in 2000

  • I dont know bout the drummer but Dave Mustaine said that Chris Broderick is the best guitarrist Megadeth ever had.

  • I believe that Mustaine is getting bad drugs.

Friedman solos from RIP and countdown are history of metal's licks

  • chris broderick plays as good as marty, havent you see his 8th finger tapping,he made perfectly each solo megadeth had from 86 to 2008 and shawn drover is akick ass drumer, i love how marty and nick played, and i know they were the best line up in megadeth, but they left and chris and shawn are great too

  • @afeelgoodman33 As good? Chris Broderick is much better than Marty ever was, especially live.

  • @afeelgoodman33

    thank you mate

  • @afeelgoodman33 I agree this is definitely one of their best lineups

  • @afeelgoodman33 chris is better than marty playing you cant even argue over that he also knows alot more about music theory but wrtiting music id have to go with marty but chris can still come up with damn good riffs and solos

  • @afeelgoodman33 if only they would play more songs from their first album

  • ORGASMIC

  • Man I haven't listened to Countdown... for ages!

This has got to be one of my favourite Marty solos, but I always thought the lyric "The answer to your question is...

Welcome to tomorrow!" was a little bit shit...

  • 666th view ohhhhhhh yeah

  • the crowd is really lame.. great performance by deth tho

  • My favorite song by Megadeth!!

  • 2007

  • @gnrfan010

it was 2008, not 2007. Chris Broderick wasn't even in megadeth in 2007

  • @gnrfan010 chris joined the band in 2008..so it must be 2008 or 2009:)

  • when was it?

  • 2007

  • @gnrfan010

    This is 2008.

  • @gnrfan010

uhm... Correction... it was 2008 because Chris Broderick joined megadeth in 2007 and his first gig with them was in 2008 in Norway i tought

  • @gnrfan010

Thats Chis, and he joined in 2008, therefore your statement seems impossible.

  • 2008

  • this is truley great, kudos to you
