  • chrysler aspen is better tougher and stronger than toyota sequoia and toyota land cruiser

  • the 2007-2009 Chrysler Aspen was assembled in

    Newark, Delaware, United States

  • i would love to see a 2012 version of the aspen on the new durango platform, that would probably be the BEST looking suv on the road:)

  • @markmarshall39 I actually asked chrysler on their facebook wall, and they said there wasn't a confirmation on it yet, so it's very well possible!

  • @cheesepie1011 awesome, maybe it will happen, lets keep our fingers crossed:)

  • Esa guagua esta cabrona yo la tengo praaa pero gasta gasolina pero es para dominguiar

  • lol at that guy talking about Chryslers have good reliability because of his 1993 Jeep. Yeah back in the day they were good but the newer ones are crap

  • @datboiwes333 Actually you are incorrect. I have 3 and none have had any issues. I would say the new ones are almost as good as the old ones. It is called routine maint, follow it and will be no problems.

  • @girlafraid88 I own a Chrysler also and haven't had many problems, but vehicles like later model Grand Cherokees most of the Dodge lineup were known for being unreliable. Also they have laughably cheap interiors. I had a 2010 Sebring as a rental last year and the car had cheap, hard to the touch plastics everywhere. That interior wont hold up well over time. Chrysler is improving with their 2011 models however, the Imported From Detroit thing...

  • @datboiwes333 Thank god they started with the imported from detriot thing, it finally makes all of the crazy people who are obsessed with 'imported' cars look rediculous. If we all supported the country and stoped with the imported mabye thus country wouldn't be in such a mess. Mabye the plastics were hard touch, but they are exactly the same on all of the imports. I had a honda pilot that was so unreliable, cost a fortune and has hard plastic throughout, samw with the civics - really cheap.

  • @girlafraid88 yeah but a lot of American cars use a lot of parts from Japan also... The economy is messed up around the world not just the US.

  • I like the man

  • The thing still looks like a mid-size.

  • They never want to mention that the 5.7 HEMI has 16 sparkplugs.

  • @RaguelAngelofBalance How is that possible? It has V8 so it should have 8 not 16.

  • @GBraidi78 Believe me. My '89 Nissan pick up with the 2.4 4 cyl had 8 plugs. Intake and exhaust. To help with emissions.

  • @RaguelAngelofBalance I never knew that existed LOL, I take your word for it bro!!

  • @GBraidi78 The wife has a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 5.7....so, yeah, I was shocked too.

  • @GBraidi78 I have one too, it does have 2 plugs per cyl.

  • @girlafraid88 Chrysler Aspen or something else if something else what kind of car is it?

  • that Is my car and I love it! Great Luxury SUV

  • cant wait till i get mine on monday looks just like that one

  • that suv look like a giant compared to him

  • @therockandrollstar1 I think He is 5'-2"

  • @MrSlicksnake oh lol

  • god i love this suv

  • OMG...I didn't look at the posted date and thought this was from 1990s.

  • 0:00

  • this might be the replacement I'm looking for, to move up from my jeep grand cherokee limited.. (I've outgrown it)

  • DOES THIS THING HAVE A ROD ANTENNA?!

  • I am a GM person, and always have been... but last year, I bought my wife an 09 Aspen, and have nothing but good things to say about it!

  • It is sooo nice! too bad it was only produced for way too few years, was it 1 or 2 years?

  • I used to like this car, but since I bought my Mercedes GL, the aspen is piece of shit for me !! lol

  • @TheNasrii mercedes built this car ya dumbass

  • We have a fully loaded Durango but I wish my dad bought this car.

  • absolutely wonderful car. I own this along with a volvo xc90. go chrysler.

  • holy shit, what a big car

  • When i was in S.F i rented it, so nice and good suv, i recomend it

  • Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler>ford,gm products

  • This is the only Chrysler I've ever driven that I like, though I hate Chryslers in general. Had an 07 Nitro nd that was the worst car I've ever owned. This is by far one of nicest driving full SUVs out there. My dad has one and everytime I come back to the states I love driving it.

  • this car was a failure.

i like it though, but it ddnt come out at the right time...

  • Tha wheels are Flat :D

  • it was only sold for two years, so it wasn't that great

  • my parents hav 1 bought it brand spankn nu back n 07 wen it first came out. top of line model limited. hemi power. 4x4 jus like the 1 n the video but n dark gray. it has 16,000 miles on it n its a beautiful chariet, for their very first suv.

  • looks like a cadillac ripoff to me.....in black the escalade and this thing looks similer...

  • whoa, you Americans call that truck something between a medium sized and a large suv?

it's a cool car and for a reasonable price, but I'm afraid it won't fit into my garage...

  • i work in the rentalbuisiness end most off the rentalcars are trash because people have no respect! lucky for you that you dont have too drive in a rentalmercedes!

when you buy any new car its always a risk too get no trouble !

  • Comment removed

  • a S-class is something else, i am talking about a C-class end YES the price is still too much- the risk also!

on a sebring there are more options standard!! end when you want a mercedes with alot off options you pay much money end ooo yeah... a star on the front. i have driven with a c-class end a sebring-- the sebring is much bigger!

  • Sebring is a piece of trash. I drove it as a rental. It had this annoying noise. Plus the breaks were bad, the quality and feel of the car was bad. In conclusion, CHRYSLER SUCKS!!! Because of Chrysler, Mercedes began to have poor quality. Now MERCEDES IS ON THEIR WAY TO THE GOOD OLD DAYS!!!!

  • We arn't interested in your uneducated opinion. Get the facts straight before leaving these comments, and for the record Chrysler is far better then any import, any day. Chrysler had nothing to do with Mercedes quality issues, it was in fact Mercedes that drove Chrysler into the ground, they are complete fools who are running that company. Bought Chrysler, ran it to the ground, sold it. All 100% true.

  • Chrslyer is far better than any import? In what way you educated idiot?

  • @skbuoy Of course they are better, have you ever driven one ? Drive an import with the shitty ride quality and then try a Chrysler, no comparison. Imports have no class, and who cares if they are better on gas, if you can't afford gas then don't drive.

No point is arguing, you can't know much about real cars.

  • @skbuoy the cars that they make aren't killing people like toyota and lexus.

  • @Aaron77wil dont give me that crap. toyota had some issues, but then again white people made this new into a big shit. toyotas are still best cars. i brought a 2011 camry last week

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • yeah because white people always buy those butt ugly ass cars that kill people and try to make up for by putting dumb ass youtube videos on the internet thinking that people would trust them again. go fuck off you don't know anything.

  • @Aaron77wil If your referring to this vehicle, go buy yourself a toyota and then see how long you will live !

  • @skbuoy If you bought a camry , you know nothing about cars - toyotas are pure shit and no respectable person would drive one, I guess we know where you stand !

  • @girlafraid88 agree with you, but a Sebring but not Camry

  • @skbuoy and you said educated enstead of uneducated

  • @girlafraid88 No! It was Chrysler that made Mercedes bad! Chryslers are peices of crap that are chug gas, and aren't well made. All imported cars are better than Chrysler. Like the 300, it's a copy of a Rolls Royce but horribly flimsy plastics inside, and yet the designers managed to make it an incredibly heavy car!

  • @AdrianC12345 Are you telling me the facts, I think not. I have far more resources then you and can promise you Mercedes is in fact what ran Chrysler into the ground, you can use this information as you see fit however it is actually what happened and has been documented eveywhere you look. There isn't a thing about Chrysler that I don't know and they did in fact manufacture excellent cars until Mercedes decided to play games. The truth shall never change.

  • @girlafraid88 Really? What great cars did chrysler have? How would a company bought by another ruin the owner company?

  • @AdrianC12345 Most all of Chrysler's cars were goo, I have them from the 80's into the 90's and 2000's and every one of themhas been as excellent machine. Mer is a poorly run company, the man responsible for running this company at the time whey owned Chrysler is nothing short of a complete fool. Because of him the bankrupcy happened and quality suffered. The quality on their Mer products suffered also, however that was nothing to do with Chrysler.

  • @AdrianC12345 check out the 2011 chrysler 200 and 300 you'll change your mind completely

  • @Aaron77wil I've seen them. They really don't look like that much of a change from current chrysler. The 200 even looks more plain and boring than the Sebring. Which it looks nearly identicle to. And only the 300 holds a bit of promise. But I will admit that if the new 300 is about as good of a car as the new Gran Cherokee than Chrysler will hopefully be on its way to making devent cars again.

  • @girlafraid88 right on that's true

  • @skbuoy Mercedes is a terribly run comapny, Now Chrysler is back on track - not the other way around.

  • @girlafraid88 really? because chrysler is doing terrible, losing money and potentially going to go out of biz, however mercedes is doing just fine

  • @skbuoy You just are not understanding what I am telling you. First of all Mer were pieces of garbage well before they bought Chrysler, you wouldn't beleive the problems people were having with some models. Chryslers engines were always top, never any issues until Mer caused many people to screwed by defect engines, not to mention they declined almost all warranty work, the old Chrysler never declined any warranty work and was always easy to deal with. Look around for facts, you will find them.

  • @skbuoy chrysler is never going to go out of biz get your facts straight you shit head

  • @skbuoy Beauty fades, dumb is forever.

  • too j40d-- do you realy think europeen cars are better? for my work i drive different new cars mostly europeen like mercedes, audi, bmw,vw etc they drive good but a sebring drives BETTER then a C-class. dont tell things if you have just your driverslicencens! mercedes has very bad complains end the S-class 320diesel is poor, always electronic problems. end the price is too much for what you GET!! that means also for bmw, audi end vw.

  • first let me say you lie. And the price is not too much for what you get. It cost Mercedes around $68,000 to build an s class, they sell them for about $87,000. Which means they make about $19,000 on each s class. It cost Chrysler about $12,000 to build a Sebring, and the sell for $23,000. Which means they make about $9,000 on each car. That proves that they are cheap, and that when it comes to a Mercedes you do get what you pay for, a nice car and the name. Neither with the Chrysler!

  • in my opinion, the exterior looks of most dodge chrysler and jeep cars look great. its only when you get inside it feels kinda cheap. but i think the exteriors of the cars look great!

  • Chrysler makes horrible cars, and very cheap. Look at the interior! I don't like them at all, and Ford is the same.

  • Don't hate what you can't afford.

  • I drive a Buick Enclave CXL, which is a little bit more money than this? So I can surely afford to buy this if I wanted too, but my question is why would I dumbass?. My comment was made because Chrysler has very cheap cars, and VERY plain and severely low quality interiors.

  • And your Buick is any better? Chrysler, GM, and Ford, all SUCK! If you enjoy driving a Canadian made re-badged lemon, be my guest. But if anyone ever wants a good car SUV or anything in between, find something from Japan or Europe. Even the new "Better" American cars are really designed by the Germans i.e. the Chevy volt was designed in Germany. I have a made in America 2008 Mercedes GL320 diesel, which kills any and all American SUVs.

  • Lol shut the fuck up, I can careless what you had to say since it had nothing to do with the aspen, let alone my comment? You drive a Mercedes? well good haha then all you paid for was the name, and a car that has horrible reliability, as I know from past experiences, get over yourself.

  • Mercedes has poor reliability because they are filled with advanced technology. GM has very poor reliability because they SUCK! What u get w/ a Mercedes is high quality; the name; the technology; and the resale value. What u get w/ a Buick is poor reliability; poor resale; low tech; and a brand synonymous with old men who where shorts in the winter.

  • Ok? That's why J.D powers has Buick as number one in dependability, and GM's Cadillac was rated number one with Lexus in customer satisfaction and Buick right after that? Stfu with shit that isn't fact, just your opinion. Don't comment me back either.

  • All Mercedes were poor, but they are improving now, according to Consumer Reports. Most of them are now average.

  • YOU'RE STUPID

  • thats a really plain interior. thats why i love my 08 GX

  • come on its suck....

    go home man...

  • chryslers reliability is very good my 93 Jeep Cherokee has 215,860 miles on the stock motor nothing has been rebuilt and it still drives like a new car if that's not reliably than what is

  • That's only because Chrysler put Jeep at the head of the company. Chrysler and Dodge cars got the shaft and have shit reliability

  • FALSE!!

I have a 1998 Chrysler Town & Country with 150,000 miles and NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. There is nothing wrong with that car......its the BEST car i ever had. My 2005 T&C with 66,000 miles never had a problem either!!

I'm thinking about a Journey......my neighbor loves his!!

  • lol just because you didn't have a problem doesn't mean its reliable. Overall they have the highest number of reported problems out of all other 21 top selling car companies. You can buy 10 Chrysler's every year for 10 years; and never have one problem. That still doesn't prove anything. Honda has the least number of problems reported annually out of all car companies.

  • if i dont have a problem with a car, that pretty much makes it reliable. My 1991 Plymouth Grand Voyager was perfect for 14 years and 200,000. My 1998 T&C with 150,000 is perfect. My 2005 T&C with 67,000 is perfect. By the way, when Chrysler & Benz were together, i remember reading from a Consumer Reports magazine, that a C-Class was rated lower than a Sebring for reliability. also it was what, $20,000 less?

I STILL HAVE THE ARTICLE, I'LL SCAN IT AND SEND IT TO YOU IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME.

  • Comparing a C-class to a Sebring is simply ridiculous. A C-class is a luxury sports sedan; with features like navigation, leather seats, RWD, traction control, disc brakes, just to name a few. All of the features listed above are NOT even available as options on the Sebring. Plus; I just checked, and the Sebring has one of the highest number of engine failure ratings due to unusual engine sludge buildup resulting in "catastrophic engine failure." Mercedes has no such warnings.

  • sorry for interupting. but a sebring has an opional navigation, standard anti lock b rakes, avialable leather seats, opional traction control. i think m-benz is still better. but hey, you were exagerating on a sebring. the sebring has less standard than mercades but how much cheaper is it?

  • Yea, my family had a 2000 Chevy Astro for about nine years with 100,000 miles with no problems & the Astro's reliability was rated well below average every year.

  • No my friend; Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep all have poor reliability. The are in last place in terms of reliability out of a list of 21 top selling car companies. First place Honda then Toyota... 19th was Ford, 20th was GM, and 21st was Chrysler group.

  • Yeah, I wrote my comment before I had an experience with Jeep's "reliability." Step-father bought a brand new 09 Liberty. Within two weeks, fuckin' on-board computer is fried.

  • Chrysler Dodge trucks are the most reliable trucks you can buy

  • @MPLSTORM ha wow That's the biggest bullshit I've ever heard.

  • I didn't say cars I said trucks. Jeeps and Dodges are indeed the most reliable, I own Fords and GMs and I will tell you that!

  • @MPLSTORM i agree i have had a ram for 6 years and it has 375,466 miles on it with the same motor there pretty good trucks.

  • get laid...

  • Despite the iffy interior, I think these are pretty under-rated as big SUVs go.

Too bad there won't be a redesigned model (the next Durango will be Dodge-only). Hope they make one that looks as appealing as the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

  • I own one of these and coming off of GMC, Denali and Envoy and my 3 cadillacs, I love this suv

  • I really like this one too. I would say its right on par with GM suv's and is way better than anything you're going to get From Toyota....What does Toyota even have in this class? the Sequoia or whatever, yeah, huge splash that one made....

  • I have actually never heard these guys talk bad about a single car they have covered!

  • And you wonder why Chrysler is going bust yet again. Refinement and utility, Jesus f@":?<o Christ. It's the size of Montana, it barely, just barely does 13 mpg and it can't even get up a hill, so what is its purpose?

  • by the equipment provided, I think they are for ppl who bling, and pimp it out like a Caddy esclade. Look at the 115V plug! it's ready to fit useless 42" TVs, speakers and video game stuff in the boot so they can't put any luggage in.

  • You don't want a chrysler...

  • are all chyslers/dodges,jeep's that bad?If so whats so bad about them all

  • everything

  • essentially I guess this is meant to be Chrysler's answer to the Lincoln Navigator and Cadillac Escalade in marketing terms

  • I would much rather try out the new Borrego with the V8.

  • that thing looks like its from 1999 not 2009

  • hahahahaha,

  • this one is big lol

  • Ugly,Uglyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.USa cars are uglyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • Better than german SUV in design, exept the 'bmw X5, th VW Touareg, Porche Cayenne, Ford Kuga is so ugly! American atleast know how design of cars should be in many cases. Although this isn't the nicest example. My favourite SUV is the newest Lincoln Navigator, Nicest car ever must be 1959 Cadillac Eldorado and 1960 Chevrolet Impala. The 1960 Impala actually gets better/as good mileage than a Volvo V70 (1,3 mpg)

  • terrible piece of American crap

  • January 2008 Aspen 44000$ New. It is worth less then half that now (if you can sell it) December 2008. Next year...??? No matter what bling they put on it, IT IS a CHRYSLER People.

Once a Chrysler always a Chrysler. Spend a few extra bucks and buy Quality.

  • Does it have a low gear?

  • yes it does

  • Thanks

  • My brother has this truck and I was surprised with the build quality. It's up there with the Escalades and Lincolns.

  • CHRYSLER IS NOT BAD

  • excellent

  • actually the aspen is a more luxurious version of a durango, thats why it costs more than the top of the line durango, and the quality of chrysler is great! i have a 2006 300 and the only thing that has gone wrong with is is a worn out bearing on the idler pulley.

  • Not as nice as the X5

  • BMW has nothing in the Aspen class of suv.

  • the only thing good about the Aspen/Durango cheap

  • im sure itd yield AT LEAST 25mpg, if it were driven right. most ppl dont know how to drive though. im getting 45mpg in my non hybrid civic btw.

  • it would proably do better if it wasen't a full time awd

  • this is soo heavily biased by chrysler

  • Great suv, i had an 06 300c now i have an 08 aspen great upgrade. if you can afford one who cares about gas. remember you gotta get a Hemi...

  • 18 mpg is dat all omg us europeans would have a heart attack nearly all our cars are 30mpg 2 55mpg

  • We need some of those cars over here cuz 18 MPG Is BS

  • but in europe there also cars that only get 10mpg there as well

  • yes but they are usually expensive

  • lamborghinis 10/16

  • depending on how they are driven

  • the interior is PPPPLLLLAAAAIIINNN!

  • The Mercedes-Benz GL550 have lot of plastic in it's interior, also!

  • this car is garbage. especially inside all plastic. plus spends lot of gas... its a fact europeans make much better cars.

  • I liked the old durango better.

  • Whats up with the reviewer? Sounds like he's reciting his lines...

    Nice looking truck though...

  • i mean said

  • Sharing platforms and bodies is just so plain. I mean how the its also use as a Dodge Durango.

  • Everyone does it with cars & trucks. Chevy Tahoe/Cadillac Escalade, Toyota Land Cruiser/Lexus LX, Ford Expedition/Lincoln Navigator, Honda Pilot/Acura MDX....and on and on....it's just how it's done.

  • Are u positive about the Honda Pilot/Acura MDX, cuz im not so sure about that because all i see them share or powertrains. My point was that GM use one platform and body for 5 brands and they're cars and call them selves "car designers". Same goes for Ford.

  • Absolutely positive, in fact the Pilot/MDX is based off the Odyssey minivan platform which itself is loosely based on the Accord platform. In fact all current Acuras are based off Honda cars. I agree with you on GM, but they all do it. Look at Nissan's FM platform and VQ engines, they put it in everything. The thing GM/most Americans do worse is they don't differentiate between the brands enough.

  • If there's a difference like the vans then the Aspen should be better. We had the Crysler van 2005 w/ the larger of the 2 engines for about 36k miles and we drove 2008 Dodge van for few thousand miles, the seats in the dodge gave me a back ache every time unlike the cryler and there many other small things which made the dodge version inferior to us. I guess be best to test them both.

  • your right, he sounds like he is being forced to speak as if he has a gun pointed to him. i showed my brother this same video and he said the excat thing you sail

  • the aspen is ok though but never liked chrysler

  • Now tell some real Facts very late next year it is due to be Cancelled by Cerberus. The same plant that make the Durango I might add.I happen to live in what's left of the Detroit - Metro area. Though the Plant that makes it is not based here.

  • the aspen is ok but an tahoe ltz or a denali is a better buy.

  • the sequia is way better cause its japanise heck even ma Infiniti Qx56 is better

  • Suprised by a good review of this truck

  • I want one..

  • booorrrrriiiinnnnnggggg

  • these guys are located in virginia?

  • This is a pretty odd review considering most of the big guys say it is one of the least refined SUVs on the market and that it is less than impressive. . .

  • and this is why the american car makers are taking a giant duke. they fail to adapt and continue to employ plants full of people who make giant turds like this. then they shut the plants down and wonder, "whaaa happened?!?!"

  • I totally agree mate...mammoth cars just don't do anymore..

  • kooooooooooool
