I think that is a composite of fighters. Many muslim fighters are on russian side. Maybe he is real character but i cannot find him in the list of chechen commanders.

It was very sad seeing those soldiers dying one by one while fighting like men. This is what I call real men and real army. And this movie tells a true story about the war.
