  • A fall like that, enough to leave him paralyzed. My god. I remember seeing him at GP. He even signed one of my posters.

  • Jockey Jamie Theriot should be suspended at least for a complete year. Dr. José Gregorio Hernandez will take care of René Douglas. Greetings from Venezuela.

  • i was here today i won $11.80 of a show on 2$ bet so if a win on 10$ wow

  • OK FIRST OF ALL jamie theriot IS AN IDIOT WTF U SEE HE GOING FOR THE HOLE AND U PUSH HIM OUT THE PURPOSLY WATCH HIS HEAD HE LOOKS AND SEES RENE GOING FOR THE HOLE THEN PUSHES HIM OUT THE WAY..... SECOND OF ALL JEREMY ROSE ACCEDENTLY TOUCHED HIS HORSE WITH THE WHIP IN THE EYE AND HE PULLS UP TO SEE IF HE HURT THE HORSE AND HE GET SUSPENDED FOR 6 MONTHS AND JAMIE ENDS RENES RIDING CAREER AND ALOMOST ENDS HIS LIFE CMON MAN WTF STEWARDS GOTTA BE BETTER THAN THIS

  • why did the jockey who knocked down the other one not even look back. hit an run is never ok. do they just get in a zone

  • because jamie theriot is stupid and shouldnt be riding... he should have lost his riding license not just a 30 day suspension

  • he probably saw him pull em up but i think the horse was too far back for him to see him fall and besides hes still trying to win the race.. theres nuthin he can do about it

  • What´s wrong with Jhon Dooley??

He did not had a clue of what happened.

  • their not suppose to say anything...thats why they never show replays of a horse falling because they don't want that to stick in peoples mind

  • Come on, all the racecallers always comment when a horse is pulled or when they fall, at least the say who it was.

You cannot let this happen to you as a racecaller you have to be aware of everyyhing that happens on the racetrack.

  • That was a real bad spell. I hope everything works out well for the jockey.

  • Get well soon Douglas!

  • MY GOD!!!! This was a horrible spill. I'm praying for you Rene! I've been a big fan for many years and you are my favorite. GOD SPEED MY FRIEND!!!!

  • cómo siento este accidente! Dios bendiga y acompañe a rené y a su familia en estos difíciles momentos...

  • Our thoughts and prayers are with Rene and his family.

  • you know what sabio ? I would like to say, forgive me if i have said something to offend you.

  • if you were all that smart you would know that jockeys are considered one of if not pound for pound the fittest atheletes in the world. and as far as money i really dont need to get into detail. what i make in a year doesnt make me a better/less than anybody. what gets to me is idiots like you that think you know eveything because you read a fucking book, but you dont know shit. whatever im done with your stupid ass

  • Rest assured that the engineering research I do for a living is a quantum leap above anything your pathetic intellect would have any hope of comprehending. Your pathetic, illiterate comments speak volumes. You should get down on your knees every day and thank your god that rich people garner amusement and profit from racing horses around a dirt oval. Otherwise, dim witted, physically stunted twits like yourself would be limited to more fitting occupations in carnivals, circuses, freak shows, etc

  • im sure your just a fustrated man who always wanted to be a jockey, but you just grew too big, but not quite big enough to be an athlete in any other sport. so you sit at your computer talking shit and none sense. do something with your life, honestly ! when you prove your self and have a name, then talk shit. bitch !!!

  • Not quite. The fact that I have a 145+ IQ naturally led me in other, more challenging, academically intensive (and very well-paying) directions. And that would have been the case even if I had never grown to normal, adult human male proportions, since clinging to the back of a horse is not exactly a recognized athletic endeavor, LOL. But I hope you get some enjoyment out of the bulimic lifestyle you share with your fellow Oompa Loompas. And good luck with that massive Napoleonic complex...

  • jajajajaja oh my God you sound funny as hell !!! fuck is that what you tell women when/if meet them ? " I have a 145+ iq " yeah i bet what you do is real challenging. i would really like to know what it is that you do for a living. i bet you took that IQ test on the internet i've met people that scored 200 on that, but whatever..

  • yeah im sure you have alot more horse since than me, i debut sep 11 2004 at this very race track arlington park, i was 17 years old at the time, ive ridden over 2,000 races, and won over 300. ive had horses fall on me just like you see there, ive pissed blood for weeks. right now im out of commision because i fell 4 weeks ago and fractured my shoulder, in 3 weeks ill be riding in minnesota, so if you wanna try to break me you can find me there.

  • That "lil" 400 pound machine produces and releases more energy than dozens of thoroughbreds combined and is much harder to control... precisely because it has no mind of its own. Add to this the fact that a cornering race bike is performing at the very limits of physics, and there is NO comparison... it's much more difficult to pilot a race bike than to ride a race horse.

  • no matter wat jamie theriot never looked to his outside!..it was his fault but it was a big race n accidents happen... n rene just had no time to react....it sucks n hopefully he can walk..i think the stretch should be longer, so jockeys have time to get in better positions n dont panic !

  • owie... that looked like it hurt..... 1:40

  • I think THeroiut may be getting a bum rap to some extent. He was suspended 30 days but that may be politics. The move he made is done every day, the accident was to a large extent a freak one. That, and they were way too bunched up at that point, always a dangerous thing. Douglas knew he was running into a wall of horses.

  • There are animal abuses much more shocking and heinous than horse racing that go on every day. One seal hunt has more abuse than 100 years of horse racing. Better believe it

  • PETA cult members aren't human.

  • So it's okay to want to put bullets in PETA members? Any other class of people you consider "not human" and worthy of a bullet in the head?

Again, statistics for years have shown an undeniable link between those who would abuse animals and those who are violent towards humans. You are living proof of that.

So who should people be afraid of, me, who loves animals and thinks they should be treated humanely? Or you who contemplates shooting people in the head?

    Nuff said.

  • If we liked to eat horses instead(they do in other parts of the world) you wouldn't stand up against it? You make no sense....if you make profit off killing chickens for our consumption and profits or killing horses for our enjoyment and profits(or losses)...what the hell is the damn difference? It doesn't matter who enjoys or how many people like to eat that...or what. In principle, if you stand up against this, you should stand up against killing all animals. u r 1 who chooses this and that.

  • Hey cultsack, I am eating a big juicy steak right now. Meat is murder, tasty tasty murder!

  • Hey enjoy it. I don't care, I already said I don't have a problem with others eating meat-I choose not to.

Did you think I would be bothered by that same old cliche? But thanks for proving my earlier point that those who have no problem with animal abuse are likely to feel the same towards humans. Your bullet comment proved my point perfectly.

  • Maybe you should research how many animals PETA euthanizes every year. PETA is a big money making business designed to suck money out of moron's pockets. Congratulations on your cult membership!

  • Don't worry cultssuck, if I ever had a choice between putting a bullet in a horse or putting one in a moron like you, you lose every time. You can't blame a horse for being a big dumb animal, but what's your excuse?

  • Well dogies! If I ever gets me the choice of puttin a bullet in ya cultssuck I darn sure will dadgummit. I don't like you-ins.

LOL! Quit while you're ahead. I will only make you look foolish.

  • Again, your arguments are very inconsistent...you are not willing to stand up against other types of animal cruelty but you are willing to stand up against horse racing. People like to bet on races too, a lot like to watch horses going around the track....why can't you keep your mouth shut here too? Your realist approach makes no sense. Why not argue against eating all meat? You can say affects health, make your arguments...why not? YOu have a say.

  • Cultssuck, you are an idiot. I guess you believe a horse has a better chance of survival in the wild? The irony is, you are too stupid to realize you are in a cult. Fucking classic.

  • More personal insults, how surprising.

    I find them amusing.

  • 6 horses die in one day:

CLERK of the course Brendan Sheridan defended the condition of the racing surface at Killarney on Sundayafter six equine deaths on the first day of three-day meeting. (May 10, 2009)

Yes, it's certainly a rare occasion.

  • A guy is paralyzed and all the moron PETA tards care about is the horse. You hippie liberal douchebags all make me sick. Hey, do something about global warming and the human problem, KILL YOURSELVES!

  • "A guy is paralyzed and all the moron PETA tards"

PETA is an animal rights organization. That is what they do. I doubt anyone at PETA does not care about the jockey being paralyzed, and in fact that is another reason to abolish this "sport".

Just kills ya that PETA exists doesn't it? Well they aren't going anywhere so get used to it. In fact their membership has doubled over the past few years and continues to grow. Some of us aren't living in the stone age anymore.

  • If you look at pictures of race horses from 50+ years ago, you can see that they have been breed to be light, with THINNER legs...horse's legs are fragile anyway, but why the moronic breeders do this is beyond me...it is a shame that the horse had to be put down...lets not forget Barbaro, Eight Bells and all the other countless horse's that have to be put down becasuse of injury's from racing....I hope the jockey pulls thru..and the one that caused it, should never ride in a race again...

  • ok, let's talk about this race Lokigaea...it is partially two jockeys'/ 2 horses fault this happened. Ok, THorpe, the inside jockey, wanted to pass...but the stupid horse in front of him(the winning horse Euphony) was a little slow....so...Thorpe tried to guide his horse to the outside...it was his fault b/c he should have been more mindful of the horse next to him....bad move...it is also the jockey's fault on Euphony, b/c he was way too slow for an inside horse in a race like this...(cont)

  • (cont)...Euphony's jockey didn't make the horse move until after the collision...Thorpe...the other jockey was trying to find a place for his horse...jammed on the inside....to me, Douglas has to thank the team work of Thorpe and Berry(on Euphony) for ending his careeer. But at the end of all of this, this happened in not even a split second....it was so unfortunate.....that's horse racing! Thorpe screwed up mostly....ok his conscience will kill him now, but it's racing.

  • sry....i saw it again...euphony and jockey are mostly at fault i feel...thorpe and his horse have no place to go....can't go to the inside....if he follows his same path, he will clip heels with euphony....if he holds him up and pulls on the rains he is risking someone clipping his horses' heels....what the hell is he supposed to do? I blame the winning jockey for causing this jam...stupid idiot....but that's racing...this is just an unfortunate accident in my opinion.

  • oh my god that makes me sick.

  • Hi I am nobody to say that q is good or bad just because I want to tell the rider suffered injury q q q estmos with and I have a guy talking the same q and therefore we place in their families and is a blow strong despite everything he has wanted since q q Take still have a life ahead animo rene douglas

  • haha

  • S4BIO! Yeah! We should revive the horse and kill the rider, even though he's paralyzed. Hell, let's kill the other rider too! Think about that poor horse. Slapped on the wrist. Like my cousin who when driving by a slaughter/meat packing plant at night...."I'd kill every m-fing person who works there and their families if I could for what they do to the animals"....did I mention that literally as she said this we were both eating McDonalds Double CheeseBurgers? Save an animal, kill a human!

  • I love horses so much. It makes me so sad to see them suffer.

    Very sad day.

  • S4BIO is an idiot. It was an accident you moron. That jockey will carry a burden that you will never understand in your sheltered life.

  • You are one sick puppy.

  • I can't believe with such a horrible collision, the horse flipping as it did, the damned announcer doesn't say a word about it and continues with the finish!

  • I'm glad that the jockey survived after getting thrown from his horse even though he'll be paralyzed for life. The other ride has no excuse on this one. It was a costly error on his part. I'm sorry that Born to Be had to be euthanized and his/her owners are out of a race horse now plus potential future breeding too. The jockey that caused the accident will have to live with his mistake the rest of his life.

  • what is the rule for passing in a turn like this?

  • There is no rule for passing per se. But the #1 rule of horse racing is that you cannot interfere unreasonably with another horse/rider. In other words, each horse is exclusively entitled to the space he/she occupies at any given moment. Jamie Theriot moved his horse (or allowed his horse to move) abruptly to his right and into the space occupied by Born To Be. This was clearly an attempt to get around the horse in front, and was done with blatant disregard for the rule.

  • I don't believe there are ever any rules against passing as that's how horses win races, but the rules agains t bumping are pretty strict for just this reason and the tapes are reviewed by a panle and punishment is based on their rulings.

Theriot was demoted from fifth place to last and given a 30-day suspension set to begin May 30

  • You are an idiot!

  • Ya poor horse... don't worry about the guy who's paralyzed no need to mention that I guess s4bio???

  • If any of you are having problems with your horses please contact s4bio, he is a certified horse whisper. I think I've seen some of his horse related videos before they were removed by Youtube, what a sicko...

  • im speeking on behalf of all the jockeys, yes we make the concious decision to ride races, but its because we love horses we love to be on their backs going full speed, and in a race you actualy become one with the horse, we love what we do, and we do it disregarding the risk involved. HEART OF STEEL BITCH !!! something youll never get to experience in your pathetic liltle life !!! if you said some shit like that anyware near me, i would bust your f***ing face in.

  • jbeta05 -

You just made my point, you idiot... LMAO! And I would be MORE than happy to repeat everything I wrote here (and many more of my equally well reasoned opinions on all sorts of subjects) to you, live and in person, right to your face. You can even bring a few of your silk-wearing buddies for much needed support. I'm sure I would find it highly amusing to watch as you struggle to back up those big giant words of yours... LOL

I would also be happy to recommend a good English tutor...

  • you know what ! i would PAY ! PAY ! to see you on a real race horse. i will bet anything you want, that when/if get off, your point of view will be different. you will know a race horse is not like a bike. (i ride bikes for fun too) idiot. yeah its easy to talk smack through a computer, youll find out how strong a lil guy can be. im 5.1" and i reapeat you say some shit like that anyware near me, I WILL BUST YOUR F***ING FACE IN !!!

  • BTW, you pathetic little punk.... I have been around, raised and ridden horses all my life. Whatever "horse sense" you think you have, I no doubt have more. I know EXACTLY what it takes to ride a race horse, and I also understand the dynamics of controlling a horse. And although I'm not a midget like yourself, I am short (5'8") and your ignorant punk ass has nothing to teach me about "how strong a lil guy can be". Pray we never meet, because I might have to break you in half.

  • yeah you know excatly what it takes to ride a race horse because youve ridden how many races ? this is not your grandfathers 37 year old caddle horse thats been in your family since before you were born, and they even put 4 year kids on his back.

  • jbeta05 -

BTW... I race motorcycles for fun... something that - in comparison to the relatively pedestrian sport of horse racing - involves much higher speeds and much greater risks, and requires much more courage (or as you refer to it... "HEART OF STEEL BITCH")... all while NOT promoting and fostering the irresponsible, immoral, profit-driven selective breeding (and frequent/convenient disposal) of horses.

  • So finally, the question at the end of all of this should be what rights/treatments should animals have if a human owns them? If we say it's ok to command an animal and feed it whatever appropriate food we want, and do whatever, it's obvious that an animal does not have rights like humans. My view is this....a society should not revolve around animals...it is a waste to our society....we deprive other humans of necessity by focusing on feeding a stupid animal and taking care of it(cont)

  • you race motorcycles for fun wow !!! impresing, you excelerate brake and steer your lil 400 pound motor vehicle when ever the f**k you want, a race horse has its own mind, is very strong alot stronger than you could imagine, not to mention they weigh about 1,200-1,500 lbs. and when they want to run into a wall going 45 mph. they will do it.

  • I gave you a thumbs for giving the fool what he deserved, but I'd still like to see someone the size of a jockey punch anyone's face in :-)

  • What people like you don't understand is that animals are OWNED by people and do JOBS. Most people don't want to see them harmed or treated inhumanely--but there are laws protecting animals from the RELATIVELY FEW people who do(don't let PETA propoganda skew facts). Any animal MUST be treated well, and LOVE what he does to do it well. Used for commercial purposes or not, they MUST be treated well, or their owner either is unsuccessful in his ventures, or is punished by law.

  • Oh, I understand that full well. But what people like you routinely fail to understand are the not-so-obvious, underlying causes of and justifications for undesirable conditions... in this case, the cruel realities of thoroughbred horse racing. As with most all businesses, everything that happens in horse racing is in the name of profit. There was a time when race horses were bred for both speed and durability, since only through a long racing career could a horse return a maximum profit.

  • S4BIO

You obviously don't know much about horse racing if you think that A) Racehorses are not bred for longevity of career. Older horses race in other circuits, investors weigh this heavily when looking at a line to buy from or breed to.

  • (CONT) B)Racehorces are not bred for durability. This is wrong. They are faster today because of advancemnts in science and genetics. A good racehorse must be durable to do what he does. C)things like this haven't happened in the past. This is wrong. If you look at the video the horse gets bumped, his head turns sideways and he looses his balance. This likely happened to the first humans to ride horses, because physics is pretty much a universal constant.

  • D) The racehorse world is cruel and seedy. Now in every business you have bad seeds, people who cut corners, and unfortunately here animals suffer. But there are far more kind and ethical people in the business, and it is unfair to judge them based on your premonitions.

  • Not judging the individuals...reacting to the concept....having an opinion on the overall concept and principle is what im doing. U're right....in every business u have dishonest and honest people....but the better question is...is the concept of business in itself ethical? Why do people engage in business? Could be something they like....more often than not, it is a way to make a profit. No matter what, money has a lot to do with a business...w/out money, it's not really a business.

  • So if money is a main part of business, why should we care so much? Why do we bother...if u have a family...you can do a lot w/ money...house, education, etc. Shouldn't we allocate resources more appropriately w/ everyone than worrying about our own pockets? The better the business, the more money you make. If there was no money involved in horse racing....if money didnt exist, wouldn't the sport be totally different? Very unpopular, but different. But the true fans would shine then.

  • Finally, the whole concept of business and money is what should be questioned. Instead of worrying about education so much, we are concerned with making money and worrying about if we will pay the bills this month. While we sit in a nice house and watching our tv, there are many people out there (not their choice) who are out in the street and have nothing...people can't pay their health bills and die off, while others survive. What is wrong with our society? Money has destroyed it.

  • (cont) But in today's ADD afflicted, sensationalistic society, a horse returns max profit simply by winning one of a handful of over-hyped races with over-inflated purses. The result is that thoroughbreds are now bred almost exclusively for speed... durability is out since it is no longer required for that big payoff that all those owners dream about. The result is what we are witnessing more and more often... large, powerful horses on slighter legs that simply snap under the strain.

  • Look, horse racing is a multidimensional business....everybody is involved....just like any business, something can go wrong at anytime. Ethically, you can not argue that this is worse than what went on in the old days. Horses are still used to make certain individuals a lot of money at the expense of others. It doesn't matter....whether they are trained this way or that way, you have to ask yourself moral questions about horse racing in general....(cont)

  • (cont)...so, if you accept this idea of making money off horses and this whole industry, don't complain, because these things are inevitable...a horse can clip heels, a horse can lose it's temper....a jockey can get crushed, a horse can lose its life or get killed...this is part of the business. Business is different today...it's not the same sport....so if you accept the sport, you have to accept the evolving business end of it.

  • Bottomline, if you don't like what you see, and you don't accept the business part to it, there is no reason to accept horseracing...you don't have to watch it, or be a part of this "world." You should not say, well, in the old days it was better....cause things were just as bad in the old days....horses were still euthanized, jockeys were still killed, it's business.....it's a risk. That's what business is...any business.

  • I'm not suggesting that horse racing used to be pristine "back in the old days", and likewise I am not suggesting that accidents should never happen. I am merely pointing out what I believe is the reason behind what we are clearly witnessing in recent years... a pronounced increase in the incidence of leg injuries (usually fatal) to thoroughbred race horses. And I did not originate this theory... it has been postulated by many horse experts, and I simply recognize the merits of the argument.

  • there are already starving people everywhere throughout the world. If only we would spend our money to help them in some way or using our time and attention to help mankind...instead of wasting our time on animals. Don't get me wrong, I like animals, but I see this terrible U.S. trend where people pay so much attention to animals rather than their starving fellow man....it's selfish...so if you choose to have a pet, do whatever you want...animals are different...you suffer the consequences.

  • yip5402 -

I strongly suggest you educate yourself on the overriding reality of nature - the principal of Survival of the Fittest. You could enact every bleeding heart liberal fantasy plan in existence and ship boatloads of free food to every starving population on the planet - and you would accomplish NOTHING. It would amount to no more than a short term band-aid remedy, and in the end those people would be no more FIT to survive than they were to begin with.

  • I think he was refering to Darwin and really didn't have a liberal agenda. Grow up you fuckin' idiot.

  • Is having business for monetary money gain....amounting to anything? Why is money so important in this world anyway? No, I guess giving food for everyone only once or so would not amount to anything, but believe it or not, we have the resources and the money to help those truly in need....instead of wasting billions and billions on stupid programs and the wars....we could be allotting our budget elsewhere. Survival of the fittest should not be a principal we use. THis is very selfish.

  • Society should have a stronger focus than just making money and being selfish. This is my view anyways...i mean, i think every member of society can contribute...you will have your bums, but it is inhuman to ignore them and to have them die off....what about those who aren't educated or don'tknow how....the way they were raised? Honestly, your principle is very cruel and inhuman. Everybody should participate in a collective society...people are so separated now...they care only for money

  • sso if you choose to have a pet, do whatever you want...animals are different...

Not for long. People that are not living in the dark ages recognize that a pet is not the same thing as a chair. People should not have a "right" to abuse or mistreat an animal simply because they can. Haven't we evolved a little more that?

How many more humans have to die or be injured, horses euthanized before we realize horse racing is bad for all involved?

  • I used it as an example to the stupid logic by S4BIO...we need to understand that an animal does not make educated decisions...just natural ones...they don't know the situation very well. So I'm saying that it is just as cruel to command an animal based on S4BIO's logic such as your dog by giving it food it might not choose to eat and to traina horse in a race where it dies...it doesn't know(cont)

  • HOnestly....what I mean to say is don't be a hypocrit! Don't be saying it's wrong to make this decision where the horse doesn't know what it's doing and you race it....for we do the same thing w/ pets in general...we tell it how to sit...we command it..train it how we want. Is a chicken or a cow not an animal too? But we kill it and we eat it.. ANd money is made off of them....lots and lots more money...so don't be a hypocrit....you either support all this or not.

  • You cannot equate training a dog to be a better housepet to racing horses. How many dogs die painful, senseless deaths from being trained to sit?

And as for the chicken and cows (and pigs, etc etc) I don't eat them, I don't wear their skins. I believe that since since others will continue to do so they should be treated as humanely as possible before being slaughtered, no gestation crates, being stomped to death etc.

Humans are so arrogant it's mind-boggling.

  • How many horses die from being trained to race(in a race)? Do you have the statistic? Not very many, I can tell you that, but enough to make headlines. Yet how many people are at home and they abuse their pet and mistreat it? HOw many dogs are bred in their owner's house for a damn profit? Far too many....isn't this inhumane? The pet business? You are stupid beyond belief. Don't be a hypocriit...either u stand for all of this or you don't...don't go in btw.

  • And btw, here's how many horses have died in the past 5 years (as of June 2008)

Over the past five years, 3,035 thoroughbreds, standardbreds and quarter horses have died at racing facilities, but not all of them on the racetrack or in racing-related accidents, according to statistics provided to a Congressional subcommittee by the Association of Racing Commissioners International.

Is this what you consider "not very many"?

    Do your research next time.

  • As for chickens and cows dying, you have proven you are a hypocrit b/c you have admitted that it's ok to have these businesses like McDonalds that promote the killing of animals for profit and for our stomachs. But it's not ok according to you, to race a horse for profit and kill it like 5 for every thousand or so? You make no sense....ok to kill millions of chickens and cows, but not ok to race hoses? YOU ARE A HYPOCRIT.

  • "As for chickens and cows dying, you have proven you are a hypocrit b/c you have admitted that it's ok"

It isn't a question of thinking "it's okay", if I had my way no one would eat meat, but I'm a realist. I know that will never happen so I can only hope to change the way those animals are raised and slaughtered.

And save your silly personal insults. I couldn't care less if you think I'm "stupid". People always resort to those tactics when they're losing a debate.

  • Right on man. If PETA would concentrate on helping starving and abused children how much of a better place would this world be? And, would these abused children grow up to be animal lovers rather than abusers? Probably, but then the AR people would be out of a job and have to get a regular 9-5 like everyone else.

  • Look, animals can not make conscious decisions.

If you have a dog, it sometimes makes it's own natural decisions, but it doesn't have a say on how to live its life. Is owning a dog then, bad too? Because we deprive the animal of understanding any risks that its owners' treatment and lifestyle give it? Horse racing is similar! People choose to treat a horse a certain way, and the horse goes along. If you command a dog to jump, and it does, and it falls and breaks its leg, isn't that just as bad?

  • as tragic as this was,it appears to me that Theriot and Douglass were basically both going for the same hole and Theriot got there a fraction quicker but at the same time Rene's horse seemed to have more momentum,a most unfortunate coincidence. It is easy to blame the other rider, especially when two tragedies arise out of one instance.

But how many times are jockeys ripped for lack of aggression and lazy rides(Kent who?)?

Right now, blame should be the furthest thing on anyone's mind.

  • the horse was put down and the jockey is paralyzed from the waste down

  • My prayers are with Rene - I hope things are not as bad as feared after his surgery today. May Born To Be RIP. This was a very sad day.

  • that was reckless riding by the jockey who's horse bumped in douglas's...that guy needs to be banned from ever riding again. what a tragedy.

  • Que rodada tan fea la de Rene Douglas...!

  • That was truly shocking. RIP Born to Be. And I hope the doctors are wrong about Rene...
