are autoharps costly? im allready a musician i play flute, guitar and bagpipes com[etently so i don't think that learning a new instrument would be that difficult. i am just wondering what price i may have to pay for a cheap one and how long i would need to practise before i could play a few tunes for people. thanks
Joann, please tell us what key that particular diatonic you are playing in is! Do you have one in the key of D you play something on for me? I just bought a vintage WIldwood Flower diatonic (key of D) and I have no idea what to expect sound wise. Thanks again.
Probably the melodic and harmonious demonstrations that I've found on U-Tube. Would like to see and hear more autoharpist. (I bought my daughter one ...need to learn some techniques to teach her properly).
ALWAYS amazing to hear you play Jo Ann!! Such a marvelous talent and style. Thanks for posting these vids....you definitely inspire the rest of us.
If you get back to read this, or if anyone else knows...what type of thumbpick are you using? Is it a Kelly Speed...or something else? :) :) :) Thanks again!!
I live in the Isle of Man in Great Britain and although I have had an autoharp for over 30 years, I had never heard one played by anyone else before I came across your videos. You make my poor efforts seem pathetic, you are such a gifted player. The instrument truly sings and grabs the attention of the listener. Thank you for your wonderful playing. It has inspired me to try to get more out of my own instrument in future.
YOu are wonderful!!
