Wow, awesome special guest. I remember seeing this very video a year or two ago. I just started watching Dual Survival on Netflix, so Dave didn't register at all, the first time I saw this. Love Cody, too. Nice video!

Reheating white rice (and i belive brown also) is seriously bad for your health over time. I think it releases toxins that like rape your brain or something haha. but seriously you might want to consider tthat for the future.
1 bunch of wild onion grass, washed and chopped, 1 smoked Andoulli sausage, one bag white uncle ben's boil in bag rice, 1 can of black beans, butter oil or animal fat.
Heat your mess pan, begin rendering the fat/oil/butter. Add the chopped onion grass and chopped sausage. While the rice is boiling, drain beans and set aside. Sear the sausage well and then add the drained rice and beans, stir together and simmer for a few. Side with wild greens.
@sasquatchhunter200 It is a North Face Vault Pack. It is an extremely comfortable Pack that has a lot of Space, and is under $40.00 online if you look around.
Hey love the recipes, but I never see how you guys clean your gear in the bush or ever see cleaning equipment in your packs ...Might be a neat video ?
Sorry to see Dave go. Heavy bummer! Anyway, do you know what the 10 books are that Dave referred to as being required in order to become a Pathfinder?
We do the same thing but we use a small can of rotel tomatos,,,,,,give it a try it is a cross between a mexican and coonass dish that is delish.....drew
LOL, I do that to only I use a piece of paper towel wrap the coffee in and place in the tea ball to keep the grounds out. Works perfect. I have to have my coffee but I do not like the grounds. Great idea putting the coffee in a film canister.
Loved the vid. Looks good. Try dryed potatoes from a box of scaloped potato mix and add the sausage and a can of cream celery. I make this alot at home with regular sliced potatoes.
you can make a makeshift tea ball out of cheese cloth or a piece of bandanna by wrapping your coffee up in either and tying off the end with a string, like a tea bag. Cheese cloth makes a great stainer in general.

Here's a good recipe you should try-

Heat your mess pan, begin rendering the fat/oil/butter. Add the chopped onion grass and chopped sausage. While the rice is boiling, drain beans and set aside. Sear the sausage well and then add the drained rice and beans, stir together and simmer for a few. Side with wild greens.

How do you you brew coffee in a canteen cup without the tea ball?

you can make a makeshift tea ball out of cheese cloth or a piece of bandanna by wrapping your coffee up in either and tying off the end with a string, like a tea bag. Cheese cloth makes a great stainer in general.
