whits the betting a wee cooncil worker ,will turn up next week tae fix something that got reported last year ,,,,,, an throw a card into the rubble , No access
I grew up in this flat frm the age of 3yrs to 15yrs, then moved back in again and got my own flat when i was 17 till 21yrs..So sad to see it come down like this ..so many memories ..It was part of Sinclair Street and the QB ..R.I.P Octavia Crt .. You will be missed !! ..by me anyway ! lol
@askelvis27 wasnt all junkies in that flat , some gd decent people lived there through out the years ! It was the council who neglected the place as they did with all high raised flats in Greenock ! That was a good big flat in its day !
i think it is great

I used to visit my auntie in Octavia Court in the 70s when I was wee and it was a dive back then. I can only imagine what it was like more recently.

They did an even better job at 9/11. This one tilted slightly but WTC went straight down.

They have to do it at night because it was right next to a major train track, so it could only been done while train services were not being on

Was there a particular reason they demolished it at night? This seems unusual to me.

Good vid Ashley. It makes me a wee bit sad watching it too. There were once happy homes in that building. All a distant memory to those people now!

excellent vid. I've added a response of a time lapse vid from a serious of still shots taken from the lower path
