  • the light system is based on the american cop cars

  • Yeah it is British mate.. and look at my old account's comment below, and motorwaycops reply. ;)

  • Here in Iceland we only use blue, although there has been the idea of using red for police as an order to stop, while blue just means "get out of the way!"

  • Yeah it's a british police car.

We use red lights only on the rear of emergency vehicles. It's for the same reasons as red brake lights, the human eye can see the colour red clearer from a further distance than blue.

  • Loads of police cars use them now, mostly the undercover cars

  • Why would you put red light on your car anyway?

I've seen emergency services in the UK use blue, red, green and white strobes.

I saw an ambulance with green, blue and white light the other day.

  • @Zildjian285 Green is for an emergency vehicle used by doctors. White lights on police cars are usually 'alley lights' or used for lighting the scene of an incident. Red lights are used on the rear of police cars, usually when stopped as they are more visible than blue lights. :)

  • Fuck me are you complaining he is using in lights... I wish they all did especially at night.

  • I notice he had the rear reds on which he shouldn't of.

  • Yeh he was meant to, the ANPR teams in Essex have red and blues on at the same time :P

    Chris

  • I see, but rear reds should only be used when the Police car is stationary.

  • Awesome. I wish we had them where I live.. but I'm stuck the the vauxhall astra's :P

  • Thanks mate.

  • What's wrong with Astra's ?

  • I didn't say anything was wrong with the Astra's.. I was just saying that there are only Astra's where I come from.

  • wtf that was shit

  • hhuhh. do they also have red in the lightbars of police vehicles

  • Only facing the rear.

  • Yes, but they should only use them whilst stationary.

  • in response to alfadust, is a speeding uninsured driver who runs over an elderly lady, killing her, smashes into another car and cannot afford to pay for the damage, a criminal or not?

  • I agree fully.

  • your coppers really get the awesome cars!

  • Lol, yeah mate i goatta admit UKPS have some good ones dont they.

  • bastards chase real criminals stiffer penaltys for drug dealers rapists and burglars stop cashing in on drivers really prothetic

  • You're being quite ignorant if you don't realise that many/most 'routine' criminals (such as those you've mentioned) use cars. Very often a vehicle stop for a minor thing can lead to greater crimes being realised.

  • How do drug dealers, rapists and burglars move around alfadust? hu? you tell me Fool.

  • thanks Nat and Mike :) same to your vids even though i have commented on most.

  • Great Vid! Very Nice.

  • aww bless everyones acting all good... gr8 vid m8 5*
